Thanks for your kind comment. I think most of the views comes from TV viewing, where it's harder to like and sub with the TV remote. But thanks for noticing
Auntie Carrollyn, you're like the cheerleader every TH-camr wishes they had; thank you for encouraging others to show some love! And Eric, big thanks for enjoying the video and deciding to stick around for more - I'm super thrilled to have you on board! It’s fantastic to know the video could inspire you.
Hey there, your words mean a lot - I'm just a guy with a passion for woodworking trying to sprinkle a bit of joy and inspiration around. Thank you for being here and adding to the good vibes! Let's keep spreading the positivity, one project at a time. Cheers!
@@JesperMakes Love your work, just wanted to let you know that Kamikoto is NOT a Japanese Brand nor is it made of any kind of "Japanese Steel" 420J2 steel (Genten series) with a HRC of 53 +/-2 HRC (so 51-55 HRC) and their and SLD steel (Ganjo series) is basically D2 Tool Steel, with an HRC of 62+/-2 (60-64 HRC). Their Damascus is made from AUS-10, 67-layers "Damascus" with an HRC of (~)58... All around it's Crappy Steel and from the numbers it is not Heat Treated properly not to mention that they are mostly made ALL made in Yangjiang, China, and ONLY their Ganjo Series is made in Niigata Prefecture in Japan, "where blacksmithing can be traced back to before the Edo period" as they say on their Website...That's only WHERE it is Made, not how and by seeing the Quality myself, I wouldn't think that's something a Japanese Knifemaker (handmade they say...) would be happy to waste their lives making Crappy Knives for Fooling People who don't know any better...Not only that, they use JAPAN for Marketing purposes and that's pretty Disgusting. (Kind of like a "Made in U.S.A" product but made by Illegal Aliens IN the U.S.A...) Same thing with Huusk "Japan"...(the "Viking Kitchen Knife" you also see Sponsoring TH-camrs...Again, NOT made in Japan, but China! And they are made from 18/10 Stainless Steel, the Very Best Steel to make Pots and Pans and other types of Cookware, but it's DEFINITELY NOT a Steel made for ANY Kind of Knife Use! Not in the least Suitable! I understand needing the money for the sponsorship but sometimes it Helps your own Subscribers get Scammed! I don't know why people don't just buy REAL Japanese knives made in Echizen, Sakai or Seki for the same or less. They are Available!
Appreciate the detailed info, really. The last thing I want is for my audience to get scammed. I'll definitely look more into the specs and origin of the products I showcase. I'm all about authenticity here. Got any suggestions for legit Japanese knife brands? 🪓☕
I cannot agree more. I am a Christian and a US ARMY Veteran, Sooooooooooooo my Core Values are Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. I have been trying since March to make contact with another wonderful person and woman. I have fallen truly in love with the lovely Ms. Jennette M.F. McCurdy. I hope that she will allow Mee to collaborate with her on Love, Life, Music, and Literature. My TH-cam channel is named, Rusty METAL J.
You're one of these TH-camrs where a 3 hour duration doesn't appear daunting up front. You've got this mixture of unexpected jokes/twists, smart editing and a way to explain complex subjects in laymans terminology. In my mind I'm always subconsciously looking for distractions, but your video format has a way of keeping me focused better than any teacher ever could manage to.
Hey Henkjan, I'm genuinely touched by your words! It's fantastic to hear that the blend of humor, editing, and simplicity in my videos can keep you engaged and focused. It's always a goal to make content that not only educates but entertains and resonates with people. Thanks for being here and for your encouraging words; it fuels the passion to keep creating. Remember, coffee solves everything, including keeping the focus sharp! Cheers! 🛠☕
I can only echo many of the comments above. I've seen all the videos but I really enjoyed this remixed compilation. All around a long but excellent video 1. Interesting content 2. Great sel- depreciation wit & humour 3. Great video editing Always jnow it's going to be "interesting" when Jesper mentions " epoxy"....😅😅😅
Jesper, you've gone from being inspired to being an inspiration. You deserve every accolade that you get. Keep up the great work, mate, and don't let anyone tell you that your videos don't matter. 👍🇩🇰🇦🇺🍺🍺
@@richardmccann4815 The sheer effort and dedication that goes in, the start compared to what it becomes... admit it, those prices are a bargain. Sure it's not priced like IKEA, but what you get is a centerpiece of any room, instead of forgettable flatpacked furniture for the guestroom.
Being a veteran going through a tornado of stress, depression and over worked/hardly paid the past couple of years, you made all that go away throughout this whole video. I have never heard of you before this video but you have now got a life long follower. Thank you for such inspiration, positivity and raw openness that you have shared with the world. You are such a raw genuine authentic person that the world needs more of. Stay amazing and never let anyone tell you that you can't do anything, just be you, if you change for others then who you are will cease to exist.
I absolutely adore the way you've turned interactions with other woodworkers into a part of your editorial voice. You're funny, but it also shines a light on some incredibly wholesome and supportive people. It's really lovely to watch!
I'm not a woodworker, I'm a blacksmith but I couldn't help but watch this entire video. It's nice to see someone who works the way I do. Maybe it's because we are Scandinavian. Anyways I'm happy to subscribe, keep up the good work jasper.👍
Hey there, thank you so much for the subscribe, Johnny! It's pretty cool to hear from a fellow craftsman from a different field. Seems like that Scandinavian spirit of craftsmanship and ingenuity runs deep in both of us, doesn't it? 😄 I'd be thrilled to learn about some of your blacksmith projects sometime. Let's keep the passion for crafting alive, no matter the material we work with. Stay tuned for more adventures, and keep on forging awesome stuff in your corner too! Got a favorite project you've worked on? Cheers!
in my younger days I was a pipeline welder by trade. I have much respect for those that can shape steel to the will. someday I plan to incorporate steel into my woodworking projects.
That's awesome to hear, Kleve! Pipeline welding is no small feat; it takes some serious skill. Merging steel and wood in a project can create a unique blend of textures and aesthetics. Keep those creative gears turning! 🛠️☕ #CoffeeSolvesEverything
2:48:10 Awesome 🌟. I’m a 75 year old woman who lives in southern France. In my “golden” years I’ve taken to watching people doing things rather than doing them myself 🥴🤷🏼♀️. your video is a delight, the imagination, the work, the humour. More please 🙂👏🏻
WOW!!! The Pathfinder table almost made me cry tears of elation!!! Absolutely the most BEAUTIFUL sewing table I have EVER seen in my Life! I am a long long time seamstress (started at 11 yr old, now 73) and I am drooling over your jaw-dropping creation. I wish I had a special someone that gave me a table like yours. It's stunning!!!! You have real creative talent Jasper. 💯💯💯
@@JesperMakes Most amazing? Gosh there's been soooo many Jasper. I've done all types of home sewing from baby clothes to deer blinds, and everything u can imagine in between! I think for me, the most amazing was the canopy over the higher priced seats that I created n sewed for 5th3rd Baseball Field in Grand Rapids MI (many many years ago!) So I think it's safe to say if it fits into a sewing machine.....I can sew it! Thanks for asking!!!
At first I thought I got suckered in to watching a dude building pallets, luckily I hung with it and being a woodworker I really appreciate getting an inside look at people who take it to a different level. Watching visionary craftsmen work expands thought and takes my work in whole new directions.
I absolutely loved your video! I'm just starting out with wood-making. I’m a 72-year-young lady living off the grid in the Arizona mountains.I'm piecing together my workshop with minimal tools and relying solely on TH-cam tutorials for knowledge. Your story really got me pumped up and I couldn't stop laughing at your hilarious jokes and creative ideas. Can't wait to see more of your videos! I'm a pretty creative person myself, always thinking outside the box and eager to learn new things. People may say not to use pallets, but hey, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, right? It's scorching hot here in the desert mountains at the moment, but as the weather cools down, I'll be diving into my pallet projects and creating some wild stuff. I've dabbled in resin and small projects too, and seeing you make mistakes just like I have reassured me that it's all part of the process. Living on a tight budget as you age and retire really pushes you to get creative. Thanks a bunch for sharing your video - it was awesome! Like I mentioned earlier, you're inspiring me and I'm itching to grab my tools and get started. Sending you peace, love, joy, kindness, and light. Mel🦋
Fell asleep watching TH-cam... woke up 15 minutes into this video ended up watching the rest of it... was genuinely impressed! held my breath, felt his sorrow on woodworking mistakes and was sad myself when he said one of them didn't sell only for him to give it away to his mother inlaw. Then you see him rush home only to see it had sold and hes back outside the inlaw's I verbally laughed and was really happy for him! I subscribed :) Anyone reading this should also.
Ignore those people who slate your work and channel. They just feel threatened by you because you’re willing to try something new, when they’re stuck in the past and doing the same old crap. This is the first video of yours that I’ve seen, and I’m horrified at how many other TH-camrs are willing to slate you at the drop of a hat. Keep doing what you’re doing, “most” of us enjoy it. 👍
This wood-centric video is seriously eye-opening! It's amazing how a simple material like wood can be transformed into stunning works of art. Your insights and techniques truly showcase the beauty and versatility of wood. Can't wait to see what other surprises you have in store. Thanks for changing the way I see wood! 🌳✨🎨
Thanks a ton! Staying grounded and true to myself while sharing my journey is really important to me. I'm thrilled to hear that it resonates with you. Remember, a good dose of humility, paired with a hot cup of coffee, can solve everything! What part of my story did you find the most inspiring?
@@JesperMakes That sometimes you just have to take a chance and believe in yourself. I can honestly say I only started my journey by watching makers like you on theirs.
As an American who lived a year in Denmark, this video makes me very envious of the life you have in the land of Tubby Gold!! I am going to send this video to my friend Thomas from Nørre Snede. I love to see the Danish people prospering... You are truly an outstanding society who live the truest expression of democracy and equality. I am proud to be connected to your country, and admire the entrepreneurial spirit of what you're doing. **Keep Going**.
Hey Jesper. Really inspirational video! I'm not really a big commenter on TH-cam but I feel that this one deserves some love. I've been slowly getting in to wood working myself but just like you when you started, I have no real direction, limited knowledge, very littl starting cash or tools and bills to pay. It's not easy starting something like this while worrying if it is going to actually be semi-profitable or enough to cover the bills and not end end up being a waste of time that could have been spent elsewhere. Your video has given me a little spark to the start of my day so thank you for that! All the best on your future projects and your life journey. Looking forward to your next video!
Jesper, I can’t express how much I enjoy your videos. They are more than just woodworking, they are stories with passion. Your videos have given me so many ideas and most importantly, they give me motivation! Thank you for sharing the real side of learning.
Thank you for this video! I started woodworking 3 months ago. My woodshop is in my extra bedroom - and it's carpeted. Ugh. I vacuum A LOT. But, it's the only place I can use my miter saw, table saw, sanders, etc., without annoying the neighbors with the noise, every day, for most of the day. =) Love your story, and thanks for the laughs! Liked and subscribed!
Here I am with my husband on a vacation in Mexico ( attending a destination family wedding) and I prefer to watch your video on my free day … best decision… you are so gifted and fun to watch and the commentary is priceless! Beautiful work Sir! I look forward to more videos…(not so much the destination weddings… but most definitely your videos 🤭😜) 👏
This was it. The other one I watched. Redoing your office, the wood block river table, Sharing what you worked on in the beginning. Good stuff. Don't take yourself too seriously, don't hide your mistakes from folks and approach it all with enthusiasm and joy. Go Jesper Go. Steady
I enjoyed your story and videos. I watched for 4 hours straight and didn’t realize it went so fast because I was mesmerized. I love the humor and gentle tone of your voice. I wish you wonderful adventures in your life. 🎉
I just want to say that your pallet table is absolutely awesome! It is truly, a one of a kind, piece of art! It looks great in your office and I hope it gives you decades of enjoyment! Very well done! 👍
I hope you get to 1 million subscribers, I came across your videos a few days ago and I have been hooked on watching all of them. I absolutely love woodworking. I grew up watching my dad and grandfather building stuff from scrap wood and always loved the thought of creating furniture or anything from wood. I started using tools to build wooden fences at 16 but I later ended up becoming an electrician in my mid 20's and now I do electrical and telecom work but for the last 3-4 years, on my free time I try to build all of my furniture out of scrap pallets that I get from work. I love it I've been saving for my track saw and other wood tools, and one day I wish I could finally get to your and other woodworker's level of expertise that I see on TH-cam. I am truly inspired by your story and it has sparked a fire in my soul that I could possibly make a wish and a dream become a reality and one day I could become such a woodworker like the rest of you in this community of woodworkers. I look forward to the ongoing inspiration that you deliver.
Joseph, your message is incredibly inspiring! Thank you. I believe in you, and I know you'll reach your woodworking goals. Keep at it, and who knows, I might be watching your videos one day!
Finally! Wifey and I watched this over the course of a week during dinner. Some she had not seen before, others brought back fond memories of Jesper stuffing things up, and we played many games of _Spot the Fixit Fingers Shirt/Sticker/Cameo_ 😆 I am glad to see this experiment has worked well with many people enjoying reliving your greatest hits to date. Here's to many more - James & Zhaomin
Hey James & Zhaomin! Haha, I'm glad you enjoyed the little trip down memory lane, spotting all the Fixit Fingers appearances must have been like a mini-game within the video! 😆 It's been a wild journey with many more adventures to come. Thanks for being a part of it and here's to creating more fond memories (and maybe a few more stuff-ups for good measure)! Cheers!
i just came across this video randomly and man... i still can't find my words how awesome this is. thank you for being you and letting the rest of us experience all from here. cheers!
Hey George, welcome to the adventure! I'm stoked to hear you enjoyed the video. Remember, there's a whole lot more where that came from, so feel free to dive into the channel.
Just watched this and I found myself absolutely glued to it, the whole story of your journey from a guy with minimal skills, some mental health issues and a heap of perseverance was something I can relate to, well done and I can only hope you continue with the whole channel, video and general humour. All the best and I for one will continue to watch. Thanks 😄
Hi Jesper, I love your video and your natural, down-to-earth approach to your work. I've been working wood for the last 45 years working in a material called ancient kauri. This wood grows to about 1200 years before being buried in swampland for up to 32,000 years due to tsunamis or earthquakes. Most of my work is done on the lathe but now launching into tables and wall art. I live on an island called Waiheke Island off the coast of Auckland, New Zealand. Like yourself, I live very close to nature and recycle whatever is around me to produce unique work. You are inspirational and enjoy your humor in the tube. Keep up the good work and would like to share ideas with you. Great stuff.
Hey, ancient kauri sounds incredible - 32,000 years? That's some vintage wood right there! 🤯 Waiheke Island must be a perfect canvas for your creativity. Thanks for the love; it's awesome to know we're kindred spirits in woodworking and nature. What's your latest project using kauri? And yeah, let's definitely swap ideas, man. Coffee solves everything, right? ☕ Cheers!
This is my new favorite DIY on TH-cam, I love Jesper's sense of humor, it's even better with his accent. It didn't feel like 2 and a half hours, it went by way too quick.
You make me feel so much better about myself! I get ideas and people think I'm nuts but I do things the way my little brain thinks. They turn out good and sometimes crazy good, and in the end it's the hysterical memories that make the projects so good!! You're my new favorite channel!
Haha, that's the spirit! Nothing wrong with letting your little brain run wild, that's where the magic happens. Got a recent project you're particularly proud of? 🛠️☕
Thanks a lot, Matthew! 😄 You hit the nail on the head, there's always another project waiting in the wings, right? It's all about having fun and letting that creativity flow. Got any genius projects of your own in the pipeline? Keep up the great handyman work! 💪🛠 #CoffeeSolvesEverything
LOVE THIS! Just found your channel & I'm loving it. Subscribed! So inspirational for cool projects. I'm a girly girl and have much to learn; yet, this is fascinating and teaches so much. And you are funny; it's really cool how you insert clips from your TH-cam celebrity buddies into your content as well - creative & fun!. Thanks so much Jasper! All the best to you & the Mrs from a Swedish girl in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on the east coast of the USA. ❤😊🎉
Being a woman raised around 9 noweigin brothers & male Cousins > this TH-camr hits the spot. Your humor is exactly how I was raised to communicate! Lol ❤️ > your humble wit is amazing along with your natural talent. You deserve 100 million subscribers at the least🎉 Best site to relax/smile & be inspired! 🎉 Blessings Nordic Brother & wife.
Thanks so much for the kind words! Humor's the best way to keep the workshop light and fun, right? You're giving me subscriber goals I didn't even know I had! 🎉 What's your favorite project so far?
You sir, should be the Danish entry for an Academy Award. Thank you for doing what you do, you're an inspiration, a humble and kind human, and you make me laugh every time. And man, you're videos are well made! Keep it up, you're changing lives.
Silas, that's some high praise! An Academy Award? I don't know about that, but I'll definitely keep the videos coming. Anything in particular you'd like to see in a future project? 🎬☕
@@JesperMakes I trust your creativity completely but I am partial to pallets and upcycling… (Is it ironic that my smart phone doesn’t recognize the word “upcycling”? Got autocorrected to a bunch of gibberish.)
This is the first time seeing Jesper’s channel and like his sense of humor, although it’s a bit tame for my taste, but that’s probably a good reason why I don’t have my own TH-cam channel. His entrepreneurial spirit is very inspirational and hope they find a talent to feed and grow to follow a similar path. Too many channels out there in the DIY universe without humor. There’s no reason we can’t laugh while we learn and nine out of 10 woodworkers agree that humor helps you retain knowledge.
Glad you appreciate the vibe! Who's that 1 out of 10 woodworker who doesn't like humor? Must be a real buzzkill, huh? Got a woodworking project in mind?
Hi Jesper, have just subscribed and become a member of your channel 🙂 your site is great and videos very good. I spent some 18 months in Denmark when serving in the British Army in. BALTAP during 1984-85 and I can honestly say that it was one of the best posting I ever had. Karup was the Headquarters and we Lived in Viborg (with wife and two Daughters). The Danish people were so nice to us and the country is so Beautiful. You lucky man 🙂
Mate I just love it, your sense of humor and your brilliant ability to recover from major balls ups, Stay with it, Down under, further down than Aussie in fact, New Zealand, Cheers, Worm.
Jesper, Thank you. I have wanted to get into woodworking for years. I'm kind of in the same situation you were. I'm moving in this direction. But regardless of that, I love your videos, your humor, and your humility. Be well and be strong like a Viking.
Hey there! It's awesome to hear that you're finding inspiration to start woodworking. Remember, every Viking started as a learner too! Dive in, start with what you can, and most importantly, enjoy the process. Be sure to keep a cup of coffee handy; it solves everything, even the first-time woodworking jitters. Be well and embrace your inner Viking! Stay tuned for more adventures and thanks for the encouragement.
Ronnie, you're making me blush here calling me a rockstar! 😅 Thanks for the epic nickname, J-Rock might just stick. Keep rocking on your side too!

Your adventure with wood is wonderful. You've come a long way. Your talents deserve it. Dear friend, I am very glad that you mentioned me at the end of the video. I was very touched. You are truly a loyal friend. And one day I would like to host you in my country. You are always invited as my special guest. I truly congratulate you on your personality, talents and friendship. You are the man of success. And thanks to you, I learned how to drink cider. :-) You're amazing, my friend. Congratulations. Big greetings. All the best. Stay healthy and happy. Kind regards. Your friend Mehmet who is proud of you
Hi Mehmet, thank you so much for this wonderful comment. I would love to come and visit, and thank you for all your help and support right from the beginning.
A seriously top top video almost 3 hours worth of greatness/madness but every minuet is fascinating, a kind of medieval way of life in the 21st century, can see the amazing progress of a beautiful journey
Jesper, I love your work! So simple yet so elegant. Plus the stories behind making each piece is an absolute inspiration to me. Thank you for sharing your work with the world!!!
Hey Andrew, thanks a ton! It's all about the story behind each piece, isn't it? Makes every creation that much more special. Keep finding inspiration and who knows, maybe you'll be sharing your own stories through your creations soon, if you aren't already! Cheers! 🛠☕
I'm stoked to find a TH-camr who isn't American! Onya mate and even better that you friend in TH-cam is also an Aussie ;-) Keep going, you are an inspiration.
Your videos are extremely inspiring! The materials you use, as well as your methods and homemade jigs, make this type of craft seem more plausible and more accessible to people who have little experience. You Sir, are a genius. Keep doing things other guys tell you not to! You’re obviously doing something right. 👍
Jasper, you are such a bold, brilliant, brave man. I get a feeling that you' re channelling the creative, can do, adventurous Danish spirit. Thank you sir 🙏❤ for way more than you know 👌😍
I found your channel by accident today. I was so caught up in your work, your narrating ...your personality! You're a Dynamo! Great story and thank you for taking your viewers along with you on your journey!
I love your videos, the music and the humor that makes you unique. And your beautiful woodworking style and that you make them with wood that is thrown out to burn. Making it gorgeous and useful.
I watched this in its entirety over the course of 2 days. I have to say, I honestly loved every second of it. This video has been very inspirational. I really appreciate how beautiful your handcrafted items are. Magnificent!! Yes, I liked and am now subscribed.
Very impressive wood working skills, but your sense of humor is what sets you head and shoulders above the rest of UTubes many makers. This was so entertaining that I subscribed to your channel before I even finished watching this video. Now I'm going to watch your other videos. Thanks.
this was a great video. You inspired me two years ago to start recording and putting videos out. I knew nothing about DIY or TH-cam but loved what you were doing. I don't get anywhere near the subscribers or the views you get but it kept me going. I was told I would be permanently blind at Christmas but I have fought back and have of my sight back (for which I cannot tell you how grateful I am!) so I am going to get back on the making and TH-cam gig again. I went to TH-cam to get some inspiration to restart and its ironic that the first person I started watching two years ago was the first recommendation again! Good luck in 2024 and keep the videos coming
Your journey is incredibly inspiring. I'm so glad to hear about your recovery and determination to continue with TH-cam and DIY projects. Your story is a testament to resilience and passion. Best of luck with your return to making and TH-cam!
Hey there Jesper! Thank you for your videos, you (and a few other creators!) inspired me to make my first cutting board, and now have requests from other family members for more! Thanks again, and keep up the fantastic work!
Hey, that's awesome to hear, and I'm thrilled to have inspired you to start woodworking and create cutting boards. It's a fantastic feeling to share your creations with family and loved ones. Keep up the great work, and if you ever have questions or need tips, don't hesitate to reach out. Woodworking is all about spreading the creativity and joy! 🔨🌳😄
I understand where you are cing from in this discussion. I have a 2020 T120 and have zero issues at 43k kms. Also, I have 2023 Guzzi V7 Special Edition (1st World problem I know!) Yes, they fight in the garage😊. In a nutshell, the T120 is a full notch above the V7. I bought the V7 "because " of its characteristics!! Don't get me wrong, the build, etc of the V7 is also good. I never had an R.E., but, my dad had a 500 Bullet (c.2001) . Anyway, I come from many years of Hondas, the last being a Varadero XL1000 and an Africa Twin .... getting on the T120 after several weeks on the V7 felt like getting back on a Honda.... (good or bad?) I call my V7 an Italian Rotovator... but it is fun and full of character 😊 If it's got two wheels and you love it... that's all that matters

So I thought the title said ch hw u c the world not wood and was very much convinced the titles promise was given just as promised . More than it did in regards to what it was actually advertising , wood . This really had an impact in my life in this very phase I am in that has been the most depressing and overbearing time in my life and everything in this man’s approach to sending out a kind message to his viewers about wood has extended its reach to much more than that and if you read this sir , thank you . I don’t know why I struggled to realize how better my life can be if I stop thinking things have to be expected with failure when there is so much time and creative ventures o be found and mastered and you really had the perfect video and the presentation of it all spoke to me and hope it did others .words can’t explain how much this time watching this one video made me feel great about my future as it was looking so dark and gray and unknown . Not saying I will be aiming for the same goals you have achieved but your approach to it I will definitely be taking with me . Subscribed and will be keeping your channel in mind for when I need a boost of motivation .blessings to you and your family

I do not subscribe to many channels but I have to say your videos are so entertaining that I just had to subscribe. I am a D.I.Y type of person and have made many mistakes and had many accidents when working on my projects. The main aim is to never give up and try again. Thank you for your videos I have had so much fun watching this one. Please keep going and I wish you many successes for your future projects.
@@JesperMakescareful about all the groveling for likes. You might start getting people showing up: some of the 4.5 million people who’ve now seen it. You seriously give me motivation like no other brother. Love your sense of humor and your amazing dedication. Great to see it pay off. Classic success story. Great job. All of it. The videos, the wood work, the good vibes. Everything.
You know, I just had a thought. I’ve just discovered your channel. My father probably makes most of your other mates here look like novices. My father is a Master Craftsman Carpenter and one of few left in the world of his caliber. He rebuilt the Red Bridge and The Zig Zag Bridges in the Memphis Botanical Gardens. He worked for DisneyWorld and not only rebuilt the Old Train Station, and a lot of interior work at their world resort. He built many cabins and houses and even put up SkyScrapers in Houston. It’s an art form that is being killed off by the DIY generation, but the point is my father is in Somerville Tennessee and he has a huge workshop, and he even bends his own wood, and my idea is that maybe you could do some videos with my father and learn some techniques from him. Maybe it would be mutually beneficial, and keep the Art alive. His name is Conrad Vincent. Maybe he could learn something from you. He never filmed his work, but maybe he should have. He just built some beautiful nailless windows for a Gentleman in Tennessee. Another quick story. My father used to work with another Master Craftsman named Charlie Mix. That name may or may not sound familiar to you, but his Grandfather was a Silent Movie star named Tom Mix. Tom Mix is mentioned in the movie “Tombstone” as he was the one who they say Wept at Wyatt Earp’s funeral. My father even took care of Charlie once when he was ill. But he passed away a few years ago, and was another artist gone now. Charlie used to brag on my father, and tell him he was the best. My father thought Charlie was one of the best. You can definitely learn some cool stuff from my father. ✌🏻
Wow, your father's resume sounds absolutely legendary. I would be honored to learn from a master like him. A collaboration sounds like a fantastic idea to keep the craft alive and kicking. Conrad Vincent, eh? Good storytelling runs in the family it seems!
I talked to him a little while ago. He seems interested, and wants to do something with his spare time. He became a widower unfortunately earlier this year and then the strangest thing happened. My mother moved in with my father. They divorced in 1973. Head scratcher for sure. But my father is a good man. Anyway He has tables for bending wood and builds most of his own router tables etc, and he thought about learning to build boats. I know the Danish have a tradition of Boat and Ship building, I’m not sure you could do that from palettes but that would be awesome. Anyway he’s interested. I know you’re not in America, so I’m not sure what we can do to make this a reality?
That's an incredible family story and the setup your father has sounds like a craftsman's dream. The bending tables and DIY router tables piqued my interest, and boat building would be an amazing chapter to delve into. The whole Danish boat tradition you mentioned got me thinking, too. That said, while I'm genuinely honored by the idea, I'm currently fully booked with my own projects and commitments here in Denmark. It's a tough decision, but I'll have to pass on this incredible opportunity for now. Your father's craftsmanship truly deserves to be showcased. Ever thought about starting a channel for him? Could be a great way to carry on the tradition and wisdom he's got. Coffee solves everything, even the distance between Tennessee and Denmark. ☕ Cheers!
My friend got robbed in Denmark, it was a group of refugees from a certain community. I'd suggest kindly lock your workshop atleast, now that you've shown this to the internet. Denmark isn't the country as it used to be anymore.

(Kind of like a "Made in U.S.A" product but made by Illegal Aliens IN the U.S.A...)
Same thing with Huusk "Japan"...(the "Viking Kitchen Knife" you also see Sponsoring TH-camrs...Again, NOT made in Japan, but China!

You're one of these TH-camrs where a 3 hour duration doesn't appear daunting up front. Hey Chris, thanks mate. Means a lot. Keep on having fun with all your new machinery!
I can't believe the prices you get for your work. I guess I am underestimating the taste of people these days.
@@richardmccann4815if anything in today's society I thought some of it was cheap considering the work that goes into it!
Dang man get on your knees any more for this man and he’s gonna get tired of your mouth 😂

At first I thought I got suckered in to watching a dude building pallets, luckily I hung with it and being a woodworker I really appreciate getting an inside look at people who take it to a different level. Watching visionary craftsmen work expands thought and takes my work in whole new directions.
Glad you hung in there! Watching others can indeed spark new directions in our own work. Any visionary projects you're tackling?

Glad you left the mistakes you made so others can learn from them. Plus how you was completely honest means tons. Thank you.

Thanks, Leonie! Glad you're enjoying the channel!
Your videos are extremely inspiring!
The materials you use, as well as your methods and homemade jigs, make this type of craft seem more plausible and more accessible to people who have little experience. You Sir, are a genius.
Keep doing things other guys tell you not to! You’re obviously doing something right. 👍
Hey, thanks! Glad I can make this stuff feel more accessible. What's holding you back from diving into your own project? 😄
Jasper, you are such a bold, brilliant, brave man. I get a feeling that you' re channelling the creative, can do, adventurous Danish spirit. Thank you sir 🙏❤ for way more than you know 👌😍
❤ this video, everyone started somewhere. And here’s proof! Trial and error aren’t mistakes they are improvements! Great job!
Mistakes sharing is the one of your attractive parts in your videos. Thank you.
That's the spirit! Sharing mistakes is all part of the learning process.
I found your channel by accident today. I was so caught up in your work, your narrating ...your personality! You're a Dynamo! Great story and thank you for taking your viewers along with you on your journey!
So glad you stumbled across the channel! What caught your eye first, the woodwork or the storytelling? 😊
@@JesperMakes definitely storytelling for me.. good job.
The difference between a good wood worker and a bad woodworker is a good woodworker can hide his mistakes 🤠👍
Haha, you're spot on! Mistakes just add character, right? Ever turned a goof into a feature?
And a great woodworker makes mistakes look like they were intentional!
and make those mistakes beautiful. you did an excellent job on that
Jesper, nothing stops you. I admire your tenacious free spirit!
Appreciate it, JG! Nothing like a bit of tenacity - Glad you're enjoying the journey!
I love your videos, the music and the humor that makes you unique. And your beautiful woodworking style and that you make them with wood that is thrown out to burn. Making it gorgeous and useful.
He is the type of person I will support.. good story and great job. Lots of inspiration.
Thanks, Gilbert! Your support means a lot. I'm all about sharing stories and inspiration. Here's to more great projects and stories!
Oh my goodness... you do amazing wood work. Never stop what you are doing.
Thank you! Don't worry, no stopping in sight. What's the last project that blew you away?
I watched this in its entirety over the course of 2 days. I have to say, I honestly loved every second of it. This video has been very inspirational. I really appreciate how beautiful your handcrafted items are. Magnificent!! Yes, I liked and am now subscribed.
Awesome to hear you watched it all, Kano! Got a project in mind after all that inspiration?
Very impressive wood working skills, but your sense of humor is what sets you head and shoulders above the rest of UTubes many makers. This was so entertaining that I subscribed to your channel before I even finished watching this video. Now I'm going to watch your other videos. Thanks.
Wow, Edward, you didn't even wait for the finale? That's some serious commitment! What's your favorite type of humor? Cheers for the sub!
@@JesperMakes Your kind.😄
Thanks!
this was a great video.
It was fun watching your story unfold, Jesper. Kudos on your success!
Cheers, Eric! Watching it unfold has been just as fun.
You my friend are as talented as you are entertaining! I loved your narration as much as your creations. 👏🏽👏🏽
Ah, you're making me blush! What's your favorite way to mix creativity and entertainment?
Hey there Jesper! Thank you for your videos, you (and a few other creators!) inspired me to make my first cutting board, and now have requests from other family members for more! Thanks again, and keep up the fantastic work!
Good on ya
Hey, that's awesome to hear, and I'm thrilled to have inspired you to start woodworking and create cutting boards. It's a fantastic feeling to share your creations with family and loved ones. Keep up the great work, and if you ever have questions or need tips, don't hesitate to reach out. Woodworking is all about spreading the creativity and joy! 🔨🌳😄
You are fun to watch and more fun to listen to.. just keep doing projects. We're watching
I understand where you are cing from in this discussion. I have a 2020 T120 and have zero issues at 43k kms. Also, I have 2023 Guzzi V7 Special Edition (1st World problem I know!)
Yes, they fight in the garage😊.
(good or bad?) I call my V7 an Italian Rotovator... but it is fun and full of character 😊
If it's got two wheels and you love it... that's all that matters
Agreed!
Incredible story Jesper! I wish you continued success. All the best from the US!
Thanks, Steve! Sending good vibes right back at ya from Denmark! Ever tried woodworking?
@@JesperMakesthank you, I am new sub just now today 😊

This man decided to start ignoring that little voice we all have that says. No, you cant do that... and started taking action 😊 you are inspirational.. go the human spirit 💪❣️
Thanks, Sam! Sometimes you've just gotta tell that little voice to take a hike and brew some coffee instead. What's something you're itching to take action on? ☕💪
I have been mesmerized for nearly two hours and can hardly wait to see the rest. You are so inspiring! Thanks for sharing all your mistakes as well as solutions. Keep it up!

Hey @SugarCreekWoodwright, wow, that's a massive compliment coming from a veteran like you! I'm just here having fun and sharing what I learn along the way. It's pretty awesome to hear that even experienced woodworkers can find something new in my videos. Let's keep learning and creating together!

thanks a ton for the warm words! Sending you all the best vibes right back from Denmark to the beautiful hills of Tennessee. Stay tuned for more adventures from the workshop; there's always something brewing here (besides coffee, of course 😄). Cheers!
Took my students to Japan in 1999. Saw lots of Shou Sugi Ban wood burning. Glad you discovered the technique. Love your story of resilience and thank you for your recycling! You rock!
Thanks my friend 🙏♥️
An amazing collection of projects that all turned out really well. Good job for overcoming all obstacles and also showing us how! One of the best evening filling woodworking videos out there for sure. Impossible not to watch in one sitting... subscribed!
Wow, thanks Dr. James! High praise from you means a lot. What's your next binge-worthy project?

☕ Cheers!
@@JesperMakes I live in Ohio and he’s in Tennessee. Unfortunately. It was a thought anyway.
Thanks for the thought man!
My friend got robbed in Denmark, it was a group of refugees from a certain community. I'd suggest kindly lock your workshop atleast, now that you've shown this to the internet. Denmark isn't the country as it used to be anymore.
Sorry to hear about your friend's experience. I appreciate the concern-safety is key.
