@@WaterFowler41 I was thinking if you had a wire hanger and bent a small hook on the end you could probably work it through the top and tailgate seam and pull the wire release. Probably get it open in a minute or so without causing any damage whatsoever. Seems to easy to get in.
@@WaterFowler41 what made you switch to the stance? I’m torn with all the folding covers. Stance is currently bottom of list due mainly to videos that make it seem “flimsy”. Seems likes the panels flex in videos.

I know they aren’t waterproof but some videos seem to show a good bit of water intrusion from the tailgate area compared to other covers. Like they don’t seal great to top of tailgate. It seals as good as any other tonneau Ives used. The ram tailgate is never going to be 100% water proof, the gaps are just too big but i don’t get any intrusion from the top.
Following up thanks to your video introduction of this product and install I was able to install mines on my 2109 Ram Night Edition Black with no problems it came today the matt black flows sweet with the fancy black came straight from real truck again much Respect.
Have had two. The first one faded within 1.5 years and the rubber seals between panels peeled away. The second one was given to me for free under warranty. The second one has been on about 2 years later. Still fading and rubber seals between panels are gone again. Water gets into it for sure. I Like the fact that the front panel opens back towards the tailgate. If you go on a trip you can put things in the front and access easily. The other thing I don't like is that if you are going to put something in the bed like a dirt bike, the whole cover has to be removed. Its not too hard, but its not super easy either. The companies customer service is awesome.
I have the same issue with the seals between panels and have to replace it every year under warranty. However, now warranty is over and I am not paying $80 to replace these seals. I will be buying something else instead of dumping more money on this cover. Anyone reading this should consider the seals being replaced every year as it melts and peels off. Extang did not offer any answers when asked to the cause of this issue. They really should look into some other compound in the rubber used on this seal.
Just sold me on this for my EXACT 2020 Rebel - love how the 3rd panel locks and opens ..just might try and put a divider in that section and keep some stuff in that area - poor man Ram Box..LOL! Great videos - keep it up!

Hate to ask but would you mind measuring from underside of the top to your truck bed floor please? I want to make sure my big coolers will fit under it when closed. Very much appreciate it!!! Great video btw!

They do! I only get snow and rain in through the side gaps of the bed. I’m ok with the bed not being 100% water tight, the tailgate gaps are huge on these trucks
I have a 2014 RAM 1500, and would like to get a cover like yours if it will fit over my in-bed toolbox (19"tall x 20"wide x 60"long). Do you mind telling me what is the width and length (between the added tonneau cover side rails) of the opening closest to the cab with that locking panel fully open? Also, it looks like the underside latches and lock hang down a little. Can you tell me the height from the truck bed to the bottom of the latches/lock? It's hard to tell whether they would hit the top of the toolbox when the tonneau cover is closed.
Owning many soft covers in the past, When you want to remove the cover completely you have to crawl inside and unscrew the wingnuts at the front of the box on each side . This one unclips at the center.
I notice the rails do not go all the way back to the tailgate. Do you have a problem with water leaking in back there? How water tight has it been for you after almost 1 year? Thank you

Lol I was actually looking at one of those. I don’t think it will because you need the back section flush to the tailgate. The spoiler may not allow the tonneau to fully seal.

Water Fowler 41 haha I’ve been saving for the off-road stuff while you’re killing it with the useful upgrades I forget about. Does the middle section fold up or no?
@@paulrossi2891 I love it. For I haul stuff in back to go to the lake. We haul are garbage back. Everything stays dry and clean. Plus I took the roll up one so I can haul the quad. I don’t like the hard tops.

I liked the nearly flush look and the finish of the topside of the tonneau. It’s no more flexible than my previous extang encore cover.

I don’t think so since this uses rails. The rambar mount will get in the way.

Thanks! The tonneau cover sites level with the top of the bedside rails so if your coolers are shorter than the bed rails, you’re good to go.

I agree, the cable pull is concerning but that's pretty typical across all the major brands.

Still dry and a bone. Only time I get water in the bed is when I’m in a touchless car wash and the water is sprayed directly at my tailgate.

Erich Turk yeah so the 2nd and 3rd sections fold up and snap on top of the front section for 2/3 bed access.
