Her powerful singing voice invigorates the human spirit , beyond description , and is full of immeasurable admiration and unfathomable emotion . From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵
What a surprise! Almost 15years ago we met during an exchange between you school choir and mine (French school from Brest) and I land on your video by pure chance because I was looking for a good version of this. What a pleasure to land on this video now and see what an amazing singer you have become! Well done girl! ❤
Hi 😊 so lovely to read this message, thank you very much. I remember very well this exchange in beautiful Brest. What's your name? I'm sure i I remember you as well :)
Tekst: Strike the viol - English source: Nahum (Nathaniel) Tate Strike the viol, touch the lute, Wake the harp, inspire the flute. Sing your patroness’s praise, In cheerful and harmonious lays. W radosnych i harmonijnych pieśniach.
Bardzo mnie Wasze wykonanie zainspirowało. Cudowne! Pozdrawiam serdecznie i życzę dalszych sukcesów: Sylwek Szweda th-cam.com/video/WgmQ--PrRWg/w-d-xo.html
Such a relief that this is sung so marvelously well as I just heard a horrifically hurried version with the dull voice of Tim Mead. I love how the soprano sings like a contratenor, but with much colours and seduction added. Well done !
Are you seriously calling Tim Mead's voice dull...🤪😆😂...? I understand there's different tastes in music - that's great - but you really come across as confused about what singing is about. Very fun and dynamic interpretation here - totally agreed. But no, it's not better than the masterful singing and instrumentation by Tim Mead & co. To claim that is ridiculous.
I expected such comment. Music is not locked into the past. It is alive and can be owned and played differently. This is the mark of an artist to interpret it respectfully. I much prefer this performance to the much lauded full baroque orchestra who played it at 3 x tempo with Tim Mead making an unremarkable performance.
@@patrick6110 i agree there s no reason to prohibit any rendition. If it allonws to produce à charming version for People who arent familiarized with purcell. Purcell would appreciate
Belle interprétation polonaise ❤ and à very charming voice😍
The best music will never die, ever...
Ladies. Hats off😊uplifting❤ dziekuję
I love this piece of music, and the singer is wonderful - thank you, and hats off to her.
Purcell will approve of this because his music is being performed, albeit in a different way 340 years on.
Una splendida "canzone"di 500 anni fa

This somewhat Jazzy version seems inspired by the band Barrocade
Podoba mi się... ot co...
Just one long breath between 1:50 and 1:60 would have looked great but still awesome.
Thanks a lot for the advice :)

It would be great to hear you try it before you throw shade
Nice performance. But I think the singer uses much too much vibrato in her voice, which does not match with the instrumentation.
I find it refreshing. I expect even in Purcell's day that there were varied interpretations.
Скрипучие музы...
Мне нравится в исполнении Tim Mead

Wrong instruments, no clarity to diction, just a modern jazzed up performance.
