Do you do this test for all your paintings?
Sometimes. I don’t always do it unless I want to get really specific results. Sometimes I am too impatient and I just want to get to painting so I don’t always do it 😂 But if I don’t get the results I was looking for, then that’s when I regret not doing the test 🤣
15/8/2023.Hi,i was interested to kow, should silicone oil be used on heavy colors or on light ones?thank you
A Heavy color will sink, so if you want to see more of that particular color (cells of that color), then add silicone to it to help some of that paint rise to the surface. Light colors have a better chance of staying at the top of the surface so it is not as important to use silicone in those colors.
Couldn’t you figure it out if you use the fact that opaque paint is heavier than transparent and. Semitransparent is more dense than transparent but less dense than opaque?
Well I wouldn't be able to. This gives me some understanding about paints and their properties. Essential for a beginner for any painting.
@@MsHeebiejeebies I agree. This makes more sense to me.
Do you test it pure paint or mixed paint? Thanks for your video
I test it after it is mixed with pouring medium.
