Great vid. Bummer those links won't work without longer frame rails. That's what I prefer about the Ascender. You can set the four wheelbases on one set of rails. Know you're not so much a fan of plastic links/axles but MST has a CFX-W kit for under 300. Portal axles, front mounted motor with tons of room for full interior. I'm finishing up my electronics while I wait for my pinion gear on the slow boat. Keep the great videos coming!
Hey bud, just subbed, love the vids.keep up the great work.just got into RCs about a year ago and ive been playin with 2 scx10s that ive been building up and ive been following your vids ever since.
Bumper looks great on rig I really love Rc4wd bumpers look and perform really well. I have a deadbolt and turned it into the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon body just have to get longer links in rear and move back axle housing and rear shocks back one hole to make it 12.3 inche wheel base.
I love that JK hardbody! It's pretty easy to customize. I also have a Dingo which I turned in to a snow plow ... course being in Texas, that's not likely as much of a concern for you.
Looking good man can't wait to see what you can come up with next something told me you were going to tear that SCX 10 apart yet ...yet being the KEY word lol
For that Jeep body and the front mounted motor tranny mount. Some guy has made a mount similar on thingiverse that you can 3d print as well as a way to mount the body in the rear where the body will clip onto the frame. I can provide links if you need Also Proline made a bronco body specifically made for the deadbolt it gives full seats and reuses the roll cage check it out it looks sweet Anyways look forward to your build Thanks!
"Homie don't play that" hahaha, showing your age buddy. Those winches are pretty powerful, think you'll like it when finished. Easy to set up on that controler.
Awesome work once again!! Can we get some longer episodes again like you were doing? I'm talking an hour or 2 or so ....lol , must be a lot of work editing and prep ... but yeah love the show man patiently waiting for more.
There will be more long saturday night videos coming, lol. Just trying to keep a good mix of things on the channel. Those nearly 2 hour videos take about 6 hours to film depending on what I am working on, and then roughly an hour and a half to edit. But its a labor of love.
So glad your doing this build! The DB has the shortest WB - 12.0 links, the jk may have longer links..

I have the yellow JK on an RTG. It's kind of a copy of the SCX10. I cut out part of the console and patched it with black styrene. Looks good.
I just got one, im.going to do a mod series on it.

Could have drilled new holes for your farelink?
It could be done, Im lacking drill bits small enough though. And tapping the tiny threads would be challenging.
Dave Schapelle would be proud. Hope I spelled his name right? Great vid.
How does the winch hook up to the deadbolt to work?
They sell a winch controller that connects to the battery and you have a wireless remote for it, or you can plug it into a 3rd channel on the radio.
They make a winch controller kit
Great video...later
Hey bro I like those rc rat rods you build I want one the rc rat rods
63rd like, kinda shocked that you never use your winches
