Great fishing! Good thing you got that sausage in you, or you'd float away in those rapids. Very similar conditions to Iceland, where I'm at, except, the Vikings took care of the tree problem. So, no trees, but as a result we get wind. Yeah, we got that in spades. Not rainbows here, except farmed. Hope you got a good steak in ya for the trip back, you earned it with this one!

Really good. Did wonder at the start how you was going to present the fly as wind was coming down river. So across and down can work with a low profile. Pheasant tail is a great pattern. I did notice third fish had a problem with jaw rh side. A great fishing trip. Lucky boy. Take care. Shaun UK.

That was a fantastic South Island Series! I really appreciate the warts and all story including access dramas, classically contrary big SI browns, detailed frustrations and clear appreciation of well earned successes. Very easy to relate to it all and be well entertained as a local SI viewer familiar with most of that water ( not the last one tho eh!)

Awesome mate. I can relate to your fight on that river but I had to manage to land a 6.5 lbs Rainbow with a broken reel running downstream swimming a few times too. There is a short clip with a few muffled curse words on our channel if you would like to watch it. :)
