As a long time TSX owner with a dying alternator, I approve of this video. It just helped me change mine out. Thanks, Ty

Great I’m glad!!! Never really had too many issues with the car. Just maintenance and timing belt etc. It does have a transmission “shutter” sometimes. Does yours do it too?

I've had the same experience and for that reason I love my TSX. Treat her right and she'll take you wherever you want to go. It is the best car I've ever owned. I have driven it for about 80,000 miles. As far south as Puerto Vallarta, Nayarit, Mexico from the United States. She never lets me down. I do have a mysterious shudder now and then but my bad ass mechanic said it's whatever. I can attest that it isn't a problem and makes zero difference. Took her for a road trip with the new alternator going today. 30 MPG on the highway, just the right amount of HP to deal with highway traffic. "La Japonesa" is back in business, baby.
      She's an absolute champion. @@TySlimVlogs

Remove the two bolts…take your pry bar and put it between the alternator and bracket. Jiggle and rock it out.

I don't know how to get it loose, it's hard for me to see the part we're you pryed it before you shake it loose

Remove the 2 bolts. Stick a pry bar or long screwdriver in between the alternator and bracket that looks like a horse shoe. Jiggle it back and forth it may be pinched and corroded in there a little bit. Let me know anymore questions I’ll try to help you out.

I replaced my alternator with a new one but its still not turning over. Could it be that the battery is drained? I tried to use a jack box but i dont think it is fully charged.

Your alternator charges your battery, so it really doesn’t affect the engine turning over. So yes I would check your battery is charged first or try to jump it off another car if your jump pack is faulty.

@@TySlimVlogs Bro it was this dang on walmart battery 🪫. Atleast it has a warranty for 3 years so i can continue to get a new one free of charge. Thanks for listening.

Glad you got it figured out. I’ve had good and bad luck with the Everstart…or “Neverstart” 😂 brand. Keep or take a picture of your receipts for the future. 👍🏽

@@TySlimVlogs thanx bro they got my name in the system for when i first purchased the battery. I am currently trying to figure out why i am getting a small oil leak on my cold start. I changed my valve cover gasket, vvt solenoid gasket behind the motor and the small gasket in the front of the motor near the alternator. The one in the front was leaking on my alternator which made it go bad.

Is this the same process for a 4 cylinder TSX?
