I love how @starkfutureofficial kinda went old school, and gave the customer a legit, comprehensive tool kit for the bike. No manufacturer has really done this in many many decades, if not the past century. It’s definitely reminiscent of when Ford and other early automobile companies began manufacturing cars, and you received the tools with the vehicle to help maintain it. 👌👍
Love the content. Just got my 24 80HP model 3 weeks ago. Already have 20 hours on it. Mostly fast single track. I went the other way with the sprocket. Got a 15 tooth in front. Control the monster torque this thing has. Also the fork springs from KTM fit. I have already been playing with the shim stack. Waiting on a new softer shock spring. Bike came in as 205lb and was too stiff for me. I'm 195 ready to ride for enduro.
Well to get a new one right now looks like about a 2 year wait so this one will hang around for awhile! I just sold one of my beloved 350sxfs yesterday. Can't believe I let it go but really loving the Varg!
Sweet video dude! Thank you soo much for the information & tutorials. You are doing justice for the mechanically un-inclined like my self lol Fortunately they have been really responsive with me as well. I always hear back within 24 hours. Guessing they respond quicker to you since you have the bike, which is probably for the better lol. Current owners are priority. They got back to me today about the kickstand and they told me they plan on fixing it in the future but that "it works great the way it is" which isn't true. Just gonna leave that one off for now since I mainly do mx. They also told me that the tubes have been slightly improved and run great with 14.5 PSI or 1bar. So hopefully that will hold up, but I will probably get spare tubes just incase. They also put out a new tutorial video about changing the battery which was nice. Hoping they release the oil change video soon. Also quick question, how much time did it take for them to contact you apart from your promised delivery date? My date is September 30th 2023, so should I expect to hear from them about payment a couple weeks before that? Cannot wait to see the next video!
Yeah same as any other bike they will get some boot wear. Mine has it too. I'm sure the aftermarket will provide something eventually. It doesn't bother me much personally.
Order one up! They are about a 1.5-2 year wait now I think. Plenty of time to save here and there to fund it. My current favorite bike before the Varg arrived was my 21 YZ250F. I didn't think a bike could get much better than that. I have not ridden it since the Varg arrived! You will be amazed.
Hey so the smaller front sprocket effectively makes it less torque and gives the bike more top end ? Can you feel the difference ? Does the 13 make it not hit as hard with the power. Or can you compensate with it just by running it with 45 hp vs 40hp etc ?
Opposite. Smaller front = lower gearing. Smaller rear = taller gearing. I tried a 47t in the rear and could definitely feel a difference. I did not like that gearing. The 13T front makes it feel a bit more snappy.
The chain adjuster and footpeg bolt scare me for the long term. That detent is not going to work for long on a dirt bike. Looking at the intricacies of the phone mount, I was worried about the phone getting smashed in a crash. Now it looks like the mounting mechanism isn't going to last from dirt and water infiltration let along a light hit.
Lets hope it lasts! The chain adjuster should be good. Its more solid than most actually. Tge phone mount? Seems fine as long as you don't crash it into a boulder of something.
Hey man what year make and model ktm rear sprocket can I use on my stark varg? I know you said ktm I'm just not sure what year rear sprockets are the same on ktms
Great video and thanks a ton. Although interesting, I was kind of wondering why you are trying to find KTM parts that fit (or kind of fit) your Stark Varg. Is there a shortage of Stark parts ?, and sorry if that answer is easy. Normally if I need a part for my KX or YZ I use the correct part for that bike. I normally don't go and try to find a KTM part the works or kind of works. I feel that may be introducing some mechanical risks or safety risks when doing this. But hey, otherwise thank you for the great video.
First off there are no aftermarket parts for these yet. So say you need a sprocket or brake rotor at the track. Or you may have some custom wheels from a KTM you can change over. So for example if you want to upgrade to something Stark does not offer, etc. KTM parts are super easy to find! Stark parts are inexistent this far!
Could not hurt i guess! The guard above the sprocket seems pretty strong. I guess the gearbox could get damaged. I have not broken a chain since I was a kid so not really that concerned. The smooth power is probably easier on the chain as well. No gearshifts or clutch snaps.
@@emanuelsilvapt 2017+ KTM big bike sprockets fit. If it won't fit you may have got a 65/85 size. Also 13T is about as small as you should go up front with how much torque this bike makes.
@@913outdoors yes, that’s what I got… maybe it just need a clean because side by side they are identical. I am looking for more power with lower hp (like 25hp) for hard/extreme enduro very slow and technical stuff and I thought it could help
With kickstand, if I were you I’d start whooping on it with a soft blow hammer till you get enough angle from the bike. Then, get a little metal credit card (or something else similar size) and jb weld to the foot of the stand. Will not look great but would be nice for a day out in some muddy trails🤙
I was thinking about a cleaner solution. Lol. Was going to weld an extension to it but waiting to see if Stark updates these and replaces them first. They really should.
It's funny how the bike is so well made, and it cost a lot of money overall, but they could not figure out how to put a stupid kickstand on it that works, when the cheaper bikes made in Japan all have kickstands that work perfect.
Comes with the bike! Its great. Perfect to take to the track. Every tool to take the whole bike apart. 2 torque wrenches, lots of sockets, T handles, wrenches.
@913outdoors good to know. My Stark is due to arrive late December '23. I thought the tool kit was available to purchase but at additional cost. Awesome that it is included! Thanks Stark Future.
Thank you Stark for making common sprockets fit!
For sure! I have a HUGE pile of KTM sprockets 😎
Thanks for making the videos! Mine's scheduled to arrive in Feb and your feedback is super useful.
No problem! You are in for a treat when you bike arrives!
Thanks for these updates, super valuable on such a new machine. Watching with great interest!

Its an awesome set too! I remember the $5 Chinese tool wrap KTM used to include. The Stark tools are really high quality.

You have a serious red theme going in that garage with the bikes and rubicon!
I like red 😎
Last thing, haha! If you end up getting a second one I would be interested in buying your first one here in about 6 months. I’m located in north OK

I'm well jealous brother, hats off, hope you enjoy every minute and ride safe as always 🤛
@@garethwalker9414 don't be jealous. Ebikes are coming in soon. You'll probably have one better than the stark if you wait some time!
This is excellent content, I should be taking delivery of one in about 5mo.
You are going to love it!
Loving the content and updates on this bike. Did you get the gearbox oil change figured out?
Thanks! Not yet. Too much rain to ride! Once I hit the 5 hour mark i'll do it and make a video.
You could just put a Shim/Sleeve on the Kato 18in spacer, a small Can cut to width would do it, or similar.
Nice
With the rear tire clearance couldn't you add a link or two to the chain or just cut the next chain longer?
Tried adding a link first and it was out of adjustment range. Too long. So had to go one tooth smaller front sprocket to make it work.
Seen that most stark bikes get wear on the frame and engine case from the boots, is it any one that make frame guards for stark?
Yeah same as any other bike they will get some boot wear. Mine has it too. I'm sure the aftermarket will provide something eventually. It doesn't bother me much personally.
I soooo want a Stark Varg, ready to sell my YZ450F to part fund, nice Info brother 🤛

I’m curious if the short kick stand has the same issue with the 19 inch wheel. My guess is no.
I ordered a 19" wheel from Stark. If it ever ships i'll let you know!
Thanks!

Hey, if you wanted to send me the dimensions for the rear wheel spacer I can whip up some KTM wheel adapters.
Can you just use a half link on the chain for the clearance?
Probably could if you can find one. Full link was too much.

Do you think it needs some sort of case saver in case the chain snaps? Otherwise I guess there isn’t much what could get destroyed 🤔🤷🏼♂️

@@913outdoors the smoother power you mentioned makes sense. Thanks for your feedback 👍🏼 I like your videos and your thoughts to the bike 😃
Where did you get your torque wrench set from?
It comes with the bike! They also sell it on the Stark site.
damn 80 hp with upgrade sprockets ?? that be fun to ride uncontrolable cr700 power ..haha
Haha yeah! She's a beast! Sprocket change is actually to make room to move the tire back. Extra chain link was too long.
Ordered a Super Prox front 12T sprocket and it doesn't fit... I would need to hammer it and I won't...

What rear tire size are you running?
Stock 120/100 -18
Sick bike just not a fan of the price. Love the updates still
Yeah same here on the price but to be expected with how good it is. Definitely more worth the price than the factory edition bikes.
Or just stick a longer chain on it and then you can run whatever sprockets you want.
With the stock sprockets one extra link makes it too long. 13/48 feels pretty perfect.
That was so much locktite 😂😂
For sure!!! Never had a CS bolt that hard to remove. Lol. It was really tight going back in too. I didn't need to add more locktite.
