I never purchase a new model car during it's 1st year introduction. I'll stick to that rule and look for improvements/changes over the next 2-3yrs. Honda just came out with their Electric bike, so I'll keep watching. Appreciate your video
Thanks for the mention. With the Vet World Championships coming up I imagine Glen Helen will be full of Vets. Simulating Vet racing conditions will be awesome, I imagine some (maybe you?) will be trying the Varg at that race. My previous comment about the cooling system being loose refers to the electrical connection for the fan motor, as at least one other found a problem there. Great job on the video series, you home neighborhood reminds me of West Hills, where I visit.
Same thing with my bike. Got it to the track one morning and it was completely dead. Contacted them and they told me to do the can bus thing. Bike came back on and seemed fine. They also told me to do the software update just like in your email. So I the software update once, but after the whole procedure I was still left with a flashing yellow, so did the update again, however this time I had a solid magenta light and the bike would not turn on at all. Contacted them and they are telling me my battery needs replacing. They have already shipped one at no cost so that's nice. But wish it would have been good from the start.
Thanks for sharing your experiences with the Stark Varg. I have been lucky to try one out but only on a flat field but even so, I was totally impressed with this dirt bike. I am hoping to receive my one soon, so hearing about the great support you received from the Stark Team is reassuring. Look forward to your battery test video.
I actually am losing interest quickly in my Dec 17 2021 order because these bikes are so interconnected to the internet….I just want an on switch and to go….might stick with my 2 smoke and a kick start for a while longer. Might just stick with the ultra bee or alta for the little poaching trails by the house.
We just had a video zoom call with Stark Support and one of their engineers. They connected to the bike, diagnosed and updated all electronic devices remotely. You may not get that kind of service from any Japanese or Australian bike manufacturer. Give the Stark Varg a chance, you'll never ride anything quite like it.
Honda will be testing the CR E this weekend piloted by Trey Canard. I'm excited to see what it will do. I like your video series but in all honesty I feel the same as OP. I want to turn a switch and go. Hopefully the honda gives us something like that.
@@MrMightyGuy I’m hoping the same thing…..definitely pumped to see Hondas progress…it shows how tight lipped they have been, even after race announcement no one can get anything out of them.
Yeah it looks awesome but always needing internet and such nope like you just want a on switch and go. the reply about not getting this type of service from Japanese or Australian bike manufacturer is simple because you won't need it, just turn on and start most problems with fuel bikes can be done by almost anyone with some knowledge
Thanks, Matt! Backyard Designs did my graphics. Check them out here: backyarddesignusa.com/home-mx/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwhfipBhCqARIsAH9msbmPkeeRKRI7aKhBi7lVI44Ve4Q3fT51bIA4tv4GMbvFPMUX_YVp1JUaAq-iEALw_wcB
Wish this fixed would've worked for me.. :c My varg died mid-wheelie, if i hold the power on button the light just shines red. I tried that trick with the cambus(?) connector. No success. Tried disconnecting both battery and VCU not luck.. Checked all wires aswell. We finaly started having some nice weather here and i want to ride but nope. Dead. :/
@@FlowStateMoto-RideFree-ys6gg The bike randomly worked again on monday morning hehe. Apparently a lot of people that have had this issue now during the weekend. Software issue from Stark and they don’t work weekends hehe. Guess they fixed it when they went on at monday. I contacted stark and described the problem, after a while they stoped responding and my bike could start again.
Thanks for the useful info. I got my Varg updated as soon as i got it assembled (the led was flashing purple on the first startup). Just one ride done, no problem so far, hopefully no problem in the future too 😅
They should just have their bikes download updates in the background and when its ready put a msg on the screen saying an update is ready to install and ask of you want to install it now or later. Also, if it doesnt display current software version and date of last update, it really should.
Great an helpful video..well done! Im hoping for my Varg to arrive here in Australia early January, Ive paid in full. I just subscribed to your channel
Baddest bike on the track for sure…. For @40 minutes then your day is done…and that’s in the 40-50 hp mode with 50% regen…. No such thing as a trackside hot battery swap …. And a spare battery is what?…. $7000 !!!!! And to those arm chair mercenaries bragging about “80 hp” while at the local pub… it’s known as the “2 pump chump mode”..for a reason.. Concerning Starks “tip top” support…. It’s not tip top, it’s corporate damage control as a result of bringing a unfinished product to market to placate the investors not the engineers…
Man i really wish the worst for these things after hearing they paywall features, remotely connect and track you and cost 15k$, absolutel terrible direction for the sport
My question is simple, you load up bike take it out to the woods no internet and you get this, now day is ruined have to load bike back up drive home 1-4 hours. later contact Stark and then have to go through all this, Instead you fill up bike with fuel ride all day then go home. It's looking awesome but to many problems right now range power drop off needing internet having to purchase a lease in order to unlock and ride bike with constant updates, see where this is going someone being able to lock you out of being able to ride because you didn't renew your lease on bike even though you have bike fully paid for, these are just my thoughts but what I see happening. I ride for the freedom of it, with this scenario you have no freedom
Be wise and sell that thing!! Then go and buy a real MOTORbike and enjoy the sound, smell and emotion that it gives u.Electric bikes are a joke and have no soul!
If you were referring to me for the heat comment, not a Stark engineer, we're the (upcoming) competition :)
Great that you got sorted out!
Man I’m patiently awaiting the drop of the flux. I’m really trying to invest in the best bike possible

there always a better model.. just keep waiting....
Honda didn't come out with anything, they've had that prototype out since before Alta.
10.25.23 Another fine Stark repair video. Great explanation.

How is this a bad thing? My Tesla is a better car today than it was when i bought it, from free OTA updates.
That's awesome even though I'm getting up in age. I think I wanna get me one of those just because.
Dude! Your grafix kit are by far the best looking Varg kit I have seen where did you get them?!
