- During ”Tell Us About Your Funny Girl,” James Brolin says his wife Barbra Streisand can not lie, so everything she wrote in her book is the total truth. He also says his all-time favorite movie of Barbra’s is Nuts, he listens to her music in the car and they’re talking about doing a road trip in a pick up truck for their anniversary. He goes on to reveal that he and Barbra had trouble financing their movie where they would have played an odd couple in Venice.

I know I think that too I’ve seen a lot of interviews with James Brolin because I’ve loved the guy since the 19 70s, but everybody wants to know about Barbra!! She’s enormous and it’s understandable but still…
Barbra Streisand stole my man... I was so in love with him in Hotel when I was a child.
My gosh he is still so handsome. I think he is so much better looking than josh his son. I never thought in a million years barbara and james would end up together. The are so sweet together. I thought Barbara was amazing in Funny girl. Loved that movie.
He is a marvelous man. My husband knows him through his old job at William Morris. (before he married the Queen of everything)Its got to be tough to be married to an icon but he is something special himself and he truly loves her dearly. It brings me joy to see him gush.
@@robertversluis5744 he truly is a special person to be married to someone so enormously famous. He is too in his own right I think he’s the only one who could counterbalance her level of celebrity and he seems genuinely happy which is wonderful.
Icon is still a human. Especially in a personal relationship.

He’s such a good man. And recently saw her back to Brooklyn special where she sang w her son. I know there has been gossip about them but she seems to deeply love her family and she is truly amazing. Oddly enough ‘Guilt Trip’ was on TV this weekend and it was surprisingly good! I didn’t realize she was still making films as of a decade ago. Always think of her as a singer. But she’s an excellent comedian.

Yes, we do. Love James, but could never stand her. Never watched any of her movies and don't listen to her music.
She’s said she couldn’t and can’t get financing for movies she’s wanted and wants to make and he says this too about a film that would’ve starred the two of them. Hard to believe that Barbra was once the biggest star on the planet. Any film she wanted to make, particularly if she sang, was just automatic green light. She now hasn’t been able to get anything green lighted in decades.

I have always thought that Barbra Streisand is the most intelligent woman in American theater, film, and production. This bizarre interview has thrown me for a loop.
It says my comment was "edited." I don't remember ever having seen this interview, nothing in it "throws me for a loop," and I'm wondering exactly what interview I actually commented on, and what the editors cut out. Yes, I consider Barbra Streisand one of the most intelligent woman in American theater --but the rest of my comments and which TH-cam clip I was commenting on (certainly not this one)? This is the worst experience I've ever had with TH-cam.

Oklahoma, Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas. Over 50% of the Native American population lived in those 5 states at one point. I am assuming that is what he was referencing.

@@BlueHorseStitchers All I did was google The Five Indian States in the US and many government sites come up. The states can vary depending on the era but I went with what looked to be the most traditional interpretation. Since they were traveling n a pick up truck, imho, the states had to be near each other.

I have not seen an interview with James Brolin in over 30 years. It is great to see. But, just as with B.S. coming out of obscurity to promote her book, I feel the interview is manipulative and self-serving, as though the G.P. hasn't mattered for decades, but now there is this book so lets go smile and charm the minions.
