Also he is a great song writter. He is the reason ive pick the bass on the first place. Been playing since 15 years old. I'm 50 now still playing, also have his signature bass and has a killer sound.
Everything on that album is coloured with songs like this masterpiece !Just like the first time I heard it(summer of'88,I think)still the same feelings!!Masterpiece as songwriting from Steve and band and THAT PERFECT PRODUCTION AND SOUND OF THE WIZZARD, LATE MARTIN BIRCH !!!
I'm guitarist for 30 years, this is one of the best Iron Maiden songs from 7th son album (except the masterpiece of title song-that one must be place on 1st place ;) ) Anyway we play those song many times of our live's and i remember how my basist was angry to play that ; for true he 20-22 years ago totaly suck with playing on bass with fingers, but for that song he must learn parts with finger playing ;) Now MF plays only with fingers ;) Same me i was typical heavy metal guitarist, i hate acoustic guitars, but sometimes you must play different parts in songs, and after long fight i bought 2 neck guitar and after all of those years (i was close to 55) i must say i that was shoot to 10, now in my guitars collection i got more than 20 acoustic guitars from Ibanez,Fender,Takamine and finish with Gibson. About your bass playing; as musician i must say that was very good, i know that song very well and i don't hear any bigger technique mistakes-so that means you play it great in 100%. Greetings from Poland my friend. I give sub and i hope you still made those type of content. In my opinion you made a big channel (of course if you're no quit). I wait for more, if i can sugest one IM song; Alexander the great-you should try this masterpiece it was long, but for real (except solo parts) it was great song to learn great metal parts for guitars and bas players. Greetings one more time.
Steve Harris has created his own style that is always recognizable, as well as the sound of his bass. He may not be the most technical bass player, but he's certainly one of the most original and has power in his own fingers truly enviable.
Lo diré así de sencillo.........Steve Harris no solo es el bajista de IRON MAIDEN, sino que es el líder más querido de la mejor banda de Heavy Metal de la historia, saludos a todos!!!
Steve Harris is a god! Not the best technically but the most iconic, prolific, influential, immediately recognizable metal bass player ever!
Totally agreed! So many of his basslines are insanely difficult to master. And his tone and attack are just perfect.

@@tylercaponevitale forgot to say - great video! 😉
He’s maybe not Jaco P, Victor Wooten, Nate Navarro or Joe Dart, but I think if you really break down his material, he’s pretty decent
Actually he has a lot of pretty technical bass lines, more so in their 80s albums
The first ever Iron Maiden song that i listened to, and to this day, still my most fav song of the Irons.
It's my favorite Iron Maiden song as well!
My favorite Maiden song. Great job sir.
My favorite as well! Thank you!

@@Slime-Man-Extreme Oh no shit Sherlock! What else is new? Is water wet?
These were probably GHS Bassics if I'm remembering correctly? That or D'Addario Pro Steels! Now I use GHS Super Steels B)
@@tylercaponevitale Cool! Thanks a lot!
Fantastic...just brilliant. How much did you pay for the bass?
Thank you very much! It’s a Mexican made fender, I think it was around $600 new. Maybe $700.
