MAN INSANE!!!! i play bass since i was 13 yrs old...i have 38 now...and u play so well....the sound is so good, your galloping is awsome, just have to congratulations you...very insane song to play.....my favority!!!!!
Finally!! Someone who sounds like horses galloping on bricks!! Very well done. Been playing Steve for 40 yrs and youre the first I've seen to do it right 🎉 I thought I was the only one but now there's two 😂 great job
A longtime Amateur Steve Harris Bass Player here. I love your sound Maiden Turkey, especially in this Song! In Infinite Dreams you can hear the isolated bass track so well on the album! It is no wonder, a friend of mine once told me, that the SSoaS-Album has became such a References for Mixing in the Metal industry. Maybe you can help me, improving my technique of playing like Mr. Harris; Are you growing your fingernails long? I am just wondering where your clicky Harris-Sound comes from without overdriving and still sounding clean and crisp! Great Tone! Or maybe it's the technique you are using, if u may wanna share your secret? I am currently using an AER Bass Cube II (500 watts), combing with the Tech21 Steve Harris SH1 SansAmp (standard Steve Settings). I am using no flatwounds on my P-Bass Squier, which is maybe my biggest mistake. And I recently cut my nails completely, which resulted in losing any clicky sound, so it now sounds like the standard bass tone, like someone is farting or a bumblebee is buzzing :D Do you know where's my mistake? 1. Fingernails 2. Bass(-strings) 3. Amps + Tech If you made it until here, and everyone else reading; i am appreciating your passion into Steve Harris Playstyle. Up the Irons!
Hey. First of all, thank you for your kind words. I'll try to get back to you in detail later, but you have the right equipment and everything don't worry. First tip I can give you is that, although Steve uses a bit of nails there, clink clang tone is coming from hitting the strings to frets not by nails. So try that please. Hit the strings with your right hand, not directly from top but more likely 45 degrees sweep motion. Cheers mate.
@@MaidenTurkey I bought Flatwounds and most important, what worked for me, lowered the String Action! In combination with you 45 degrees sweep motion tip it cling-clangs now! thanks MaidenTurkey. Now i can play especially my favorite, the VirtualXI with another enjoyment :)
Excellent job 7th son brings back memories of when I was in high school getting stoned and having the munchies!!! 7th son is my favorite Maiden album, you rock young man, not sure where you are at but cheers from Americans!!!
Tell me about your bass. It looks pretty spot on, even the Fender logo. I am a luthier in California and a long time Harris fan. I have just glued up my two piece maple body blank and I'm about to build a Steve Harris replica bass. I'm going for the Lake Placid Blue era like yours. Anything you can tell me about yours would be appreciated.
Hey. I hope you'll get what you are looking for. This one is 2013 American standard midnight blue. A little darker than sparkle blue. Placid blue is little pale compare to Steve blue so don't go there. Mine is also darker but sparkly. For the logo; fender sign is pretty close but steve had big bold precision bass writing like on his white signature bass but fun fact for you he doesn't have anything(logowise) on his original bass now it's deleted or they changed the neck at some point to no-name one. So, to get what you want, check the 2nd gen steve signature bass with the sparkle blue. That's the exact color and check some of his 84 85 Era photos. Another hint: If you wanna use with steve signature strings you need chunkier neck called baseball bats comes with 70s p bass. String tension is enormous. But it's not that comfortable to play with. I'd go for modern neck and regular string gauge. Hope that helps.
Hi. Rotosound swing66. I like round steels rather than Flatwounds. Much versatile for me. For pedals; in this video comp+ tech21 sh1 steve signature Other videos; comp + sansamp bass driver. Have a good one 🤘

What settings are you using in tech 21 sh1?
Great playing, man!
Thanks. Very close to Steve personal settings. Depending on the strings changing the treble and gain a bit.
Hi What pedals and strings are you using ? Thanks

For pedals; in this video comp+ tech21 sh1 steve signature
