after finally found a serious Gloster breeder in northern china and manage to CONVINCED him to sell me a collection of 4 pairs of Gloster. I have set up the cages in my tiny 6 square feet small bird room and finally the birds have arrived safely, thank you Daniel for the videos that I have learned so much from it and I am so looking forward to breeding them, finally pursuing my childhood dream of breeding Gloster and hopefully Norwich canaries which are two of my favorite canaries breed. thanks you Daniel again.
Very nice video and kindly can you specify the 4th egg ... Can I put them back 4 egg's and can I change cage for male separate after 4th egg. Because last time my male cnaray broke eggs.
Hi I like your videos. I love canaries. I have heard for nesting material you can cut burlap up into one inch squares and pull it apart. But I heard that it is bad to give cotton for nesting materials because it will wrap around the toenails of the chicks and cut off their blood circulation. Is that true? Have you ever had that experience?
that is a very unnatural and unhealthy behaviour at this time of year, make sure you don't give her too much light(just the sun) if do it you will strain her and perhaps kill her as she hopefully just finished moulting
@@themulingman45 Yes lots of good and bad things happened during the breeding. But I am very busy with personal stuff to have the time to film part 3 hopefully this week I can get it done. Thanks for following!
Hello, thank you for the comment. The best way is to vent them because once they reach maturity their vents are quite different. Another way is by the coloration, I am not really good with that but Francisco did an amazing job in this video: th-cam.com/video/7eLB6Qftg2o/w-d-xo.html
Hi thank you for the comment. It can go bad if you do not turn them. Every day when I put a new egg in the tray I carefully rotate all the others so that the egg yolk doesn't stick to the shell too early. If you are concerned about this just leave them be and when the chicks hatch make sure the last one isn't suffocated by the others and gets enough food.
Daniel. I have a clutch with 2 clear eggs. 1.Do I take them out? 2. I saw my male riding the female.😂 Surprised their eggs are not fertile. I have another male. Would you advise I swap the males?
@@simonking9216 no leave them until the hen seems to not want to sit on them and start putting nest material on top of them. They are clear because your male might not be fit enough. I would advise to leave him for at least one more try before assuming that he is infertile. Males are hard to condition and they might look fit singing and treading the females but not enough breed properly and give his seed to the hen.
I happy with this season. This breeding I have 2 pairs up. Another clutch of eggs I saw 2 fertile eggs out of 3. 😂 This is my first attempt, your video is really helpful. Thank you.
My Bird laid eggs today! To make the hatching correct, replace the original egg with a dummy egg, is it enough to keep the original egg at room temperature or does it need a specific temperature?

Hi, when you pull out the eggs and put it back after. Would it go bad? Can you tell more about this process.
