all you canary people in here forget that this was filmed in 2005... most red, and red factor canaries were very rare back then... especially in the los angeles area... what's funny is that i have talked to this person before at canary shows years ago... and i had no idea he lived in bell gardens... i also live in bell gardens, actually tried to find his website, and it's not up... maybe i'll keep my eye out for his house and see if he still breeds them for show... awesome video... simpler times in bell gardens...
He was talking about the original red canary is very very very rare , you are talking about red factor canary's , they original color is orange and they became red when you give the the red color (can tax ) or an other kind of color changer

They are not rare they are called red factor canaries the frostied ones are non intensive the others are intensive

they are color fed not rare at all
They have to have the red factor gene. You can feed them real food but red factor additive is used. They eat regular food also.
