O yeah ktm has fooled the fans of the sport , Buying Championships for a very long time . Gncc in America was Owned pretty much by ktm as in Payed for not because there 350 lol is the best bike in the world marketing. Yeah signed all the competetion when ever they challenged or won on another genuine manufacturer. ( not the three coloured ktm manufacturer ) GNCC head qtrs/offices is beside RacerX the media shills together as one, sneaky Euro trash bikes have been high jacking the sport and everyone well not everyone think its the so called great bikes as to why the media has number 1 plates and stories of how good there are . They did the same with Dungey in Motocross Supercross , ET3 one day will be recognised as greatest Championships on his kawi etc while racing the ktmgroup pretty much all those years. True Champion and icon of the sport and still at it . KTM can not buy championships anymore i hope ! Boring. Dakar is another classic Biggest Wallet wins ktm lol

HardEnduro has the advantage that it mainly is nothing speedy. And riding slower allows people see different techniques to solve obstacles or hills. Riding an enduro bike in terrain which better solved with a trial bike is more amazing than flying through muddy forests

Nice video and great analysis. Worth remembering also some the people involved in the decisions on Graham and Mani at those events (the “jury”) included those with huge financial consideration for KTM/Red Bull. Erzberg and Romaniacs have huge financial backing from those two companies.

Adaptation and will to overcome adversity is all that we can channel ourselves towards now. Find something to keep the spark of passion alive even if that means scaling back expectations? I find that is the only way to keep putting 1 foot in front of the other?
Try living by yourself in a house paying for everything and your house is half renovated and needs more money to be spent before rooms can be rented; but then ALL of your pay is paying for everything leaving you with just food for them l the following week of donating my income to everyone else but me?
I've spent not a cent and I'm just scraping $5k saved in whole year of work. It makes me want to cry sometimes at how dismal my existence is ... but I have a YZ rolling chassis and I'm a few thousand away from an electric conversion kit.
Pretty much I've giving the middle finger to all my friends that unmotivated to ride anymore? I want to just nip lhop on and go for a rip but everywhere you want to explore will have people nearby ring the cops on 5min? I don't care for noise when I want to be stealth..... I'm like screw it I'll fcking mount an infrared spot light and have some modified Samsung VR goggles and I'll ride at night completely stealth 🖕
Find your 1 thing that will discipline you to microsave towards? I also find that going to sent kind of event that maybe inspiring doing the activity you really want to do...... will generate the opposite of inspiration? It will make you resentful and jealous of what others have that you don't have. Instead watch it disconnected via a screen if needs be. The people are so distant that their situation is irrelevant to yours? When it's in front of your eyes there's comes this disbelief as to how these people younger than you seem to be rolling in money? That is sole destroying and it distracts from the goal in the heart? You cannot make logic and your can't unsee or stop thinking about it afterwards, so my tip is not to allow yourself to be distracted.
I know it's going to take me seemingly forever to even start my goal..... but it's all I've got? I can't keep just being angry about the world and the craziness that's happening? I need to have just something that will get me outside and killing time having fun rather than just staying at home by myself weekend after weekend not willing to waste a cent? It becomes miserable after a year but I know I'm close and just have to keep going?

Racing yes that IS a reality that you need to spend money to be competitive. But for the average person unless you're trying to keep a title or maintain class standing then racing is just an exciting thing to do that costs lots of money that is dangerous? Do you REALLY need to be racing? Perhaps ride to enjoy riding rather than to keep competitive? If you are racing competitively and don't have you're own personal motocross track or one close by that you can freely access any time then perhaps giving up racing for the reality that it costs more than its worth and be done with that expectation of racing until your financial situation can accommodate such a "hobby"?
People live too much outside of their means to impress people who don't matter? Try scaling everything back and instead of complaining about the situation just realise that there are people feeling a lot worse that aren't crying about my racing?
This is coming from an entire family of motorcycle racers where the racing generation stopped at me 😉
I'm the black sheep of the family. The amount of disappointment you are in the eyes of others cannot be quantified? Screw what people think and you'll soon learn to value yourself for you and know that others criticisms or beliefs of who you are is just an insecurity of what they aren't in their mind 😉
Ya know it's no shame to be able to still walk and not have some story about how many pins you've got in some bone in the body?
Like that's the kind of situation you find yourself in at Christmas family get together of a multi generation family of motoracers? When you know their a taking a quiet dig at you like that, one only has one option left and that is so stand up and announce that you were too good to crash and smart enough not to ride with retards that crash into me? Ya know you can't even tell someone they are retard to prevent the inevitable? So I dunno who's smarter than who but don't need to hoble around and tell stories to boost my ego? I do boring sh!t like ride in the bush by myself as far away from idiots as possible? Why would I want to physically damage myself to come to Christmas to get the approval of you wankers?
      **Silence**
Walks cock legged pointing at my knee and cross eyes *oook i did dat at the Suzuka 24 hours and bung ma knee " 🤪
Moral of the story is that racing is a thing for those with a vulnerable ego to only get more vulnerable. It's an insecurity complex that all of the males of my family fell for except me? 😁

Glad I read that man. Your right and ya have some great points. Most people don't have the discipline and many more just want to complain. I gave up racing when my son was born because I just couldn't afford it. I always found a way to make sure he has a bike but I was content just to watch him. It took 17 years but now we both have YZ250s and riding with him is a dream come true that we both worked very hard to accomplish. Hope you get rippin soon buddy👍

I wondered why hard enduro has such strange popularity. Struggling up rutty slop ain't fun,, nor is slamming your $10k bike on rocks. Flowy trails and single track never gets old.

I also don't fully understand it. Even the top riders push their bikes on feet in some sections. At that point you're better off with a trial bike. I still enjoy watching videos of the sport tho.

For me it's the drive to be better. I don't like struggling either, but I love clearing an obstacle. Riding trails is fun but I don't feel the same accomplishment when I finish a ride as I do after splattering up a rock or making it up a massive hill I've never been able to conquer before. When I was riding trails all the time I ended up plateauing as a rider and a person, I was competent and could ride pretty much any trail I wanted but I hadn't really improved in years. This last year I got back into hard enduro and I've progressed so much it's unreal, not just in technical terrain but I enjoy the flowy stuff more now too. It's also motivated me to train much more off the bike, work on my mindset and diet etc which have all driven so much personal progress.

    • @davidemarsu7098
      @davidemarsu7098 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

@@donaldolin7219 I don't think it's stupid. Imo it's not really optimized for the format or vice versa. It's strange and discontinuous. Sometimes it's great for challenge and sometimes it seems they are on the wrong type of bikes.

    • @kevinbowers3917
      @kevinbowers3917 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

@twowheelsintransit one needn't try to copy others to find personal satisfaction. I didn't ride for a decade after riding dirt and dragging knees on pavement at ridiculous speeds. After 9kmi. last year in ten months just playing on a 16' R1200GSA in pavement, dirt, rocks and single track, I sold it to go T7 and WR450. Talk about skills advancement,, try riding a big bike for a year off-road.. I didn't need to fall all over hell, break stuff to feel 'improvement' I only need to refresh the old and learn new skills.. six of one, half a dozen of the other.
I climbed plenty of hills in my 20-30's , don't need to prove to myself that I'm capable, I am. This is a FUN hobby, so I keep it that way.
Hope you don't ruin all your fun chasing trends and marketing.

I’ve been riding for 30 years off-road but never really watch enduro because it was so messy no clear championship. Everybody was a winner of a famous race that’s about it. I think the wess series brought a lot of people attention like me to follow riders in their score to see who will be the champion and just for that I think it is worth it. If we are coming back at each race level it’s kind of boring and no suspense.
I will finish by saying that the decision to give only Mani two hours penalty at Romaniacs was only because if you remove him half way of the championship then people will lose interest, cause we all like the battle between Wade mani Billy and Mario.
Finally, for those who don’t understand hard enduro I would simply say to them what is the excitement watching classic enduro where you see riders speeding in circles like hamsters on a grass field. I am not trying to be mean just trying to demonstrate that criticism can be said on both sides.
By the way, very nice video, your channel will get very far

Between the speed of motocross and the technique of trials, enduro has always been an ambiguous presence. Looking back, the appeal of the hard enduro competition may have only lasted for a brief period until the tires, machines, and riders' skills matured. Specifically, until the early 2010s. The upset of finishing from the fifth row at Erzberg no longer happens.
For hobby riders, the hard enduro style riding will continue to be attractive and remain a long-lasting hobby. However, I think it is challenging to ensure fairness in a competition to determine the world's best.

    There's an old racing saying
'Win on Sunday, sell on Monday'... KTM took it a step further, 'Make our own championship, win on Sunday, sell on Monday'
*Also cheat and assist your own team riders away from the cameras to make sure they win, and penalise riders from other teams teams if they look like having a shot at the title!

Less than 5% of world riders can actually ride the extreme and tough obstacles.
But you missed the main reason why it's slowing down. Public lands is becoming even tougher to hold events. More expensive and time consuming. Ktm/rb don't open pockets to those who keep the terrain available. So we are going away.

Lol couldn't Buy Enduro haha , ive known for years they Buy Championships and have right back to Ryan Dungey days in Motocross.Enduro GP is worth watching the OG Enduro not this Trials bike Hard Enduro fashion created . Dungey and MXGP style buying Championships is covert , any rider if on another Manufacturer Challenging or winning KTMhuskagas contract the next year , the three colours helped fool the fans with ktmhuskagas always up front and win generally speaking , grubbs. Dungey well they poached him from Suzuki and surrounded him with the rest of the best contracted up. Ktm controlled suspension too all in one house controlled back then. Andrew Short in Supercross ktm holeshot track blocker unless it was the Dungey behind him which a pass was quick and easy not so much for the likes of Roczen on Honda for eg. Short would , every time fall back to a average of 10th by races end. Holeshot frequently in 3rd and bike set up for starts. Grubby ktm ! also there would be 6 other top riders contracted on the White and orange ones, at one stage 9 on the different coloured ktms . Poaching riders and buying Championships buying Media outlets is expensive business lol.

@thekamikaze789 the video is about hard enduro, are you a dim bulb? That being said, yes for the most part both series are boring to ME. I was a fan in the past, but shitty coverage that is basically brand marketing ruined the whole thing for ME years ago. Road racing is the same poo,, just lots of marketing very little good coverage imo. Only a few riders get any screen time and those are short clips meant to keep the viewer engaged. Not for me.
Watching one or two riders for 20 mins x2 is boring,, I'll go ride or do something else. When they banned Bubba I saw the writing on the wall.

You can enjoy a sport and championship while also criticizing parts of it. Do I think it helped the popularity of the sport? Obviously. Do I also think that maybe after the FIM integration, some things should have changed? Also yes. Both things can be true at the same time.
