His weight was going forwards on the land so he was ready to ride away into the sunset. The truck bending upon impact threw him off to the side IMMEDIATELY yet he was able to wrestle with it under that landing pressure and STILL ride it that far. Total make. Less satisfying that he and we want but it's definitely a make.

The most honest assessment is to absolutely consider it a make. He clearly landed and was rolling away and the mechanical failure of the truck from impact is what prevented further roll away, just the same way that you can land and still break a board at the same time. Also, hypothetically consider all the spots that have like grass or a huge wall to just immediately run into as soon the skater lands. Many of those distances would be less distance than how far Joslin was able to roll away, from which skaters at the other spots would jump off their board or slam into a wall that are obviously makes that are shorter than the distance Joslin was able to ride away from this

He put him self in that Catagory by basicly jumping down every famouse gap in skateboard for the last what 6-7 years! I think read in thrasher awhile back that his knees are jacked, and have been for awhile (i might be wrong)

  • @trap5413

To be completely honest i think Chris should go back for it at some point when it feels right and feels comfortable. He aint gotta prove nothin to anybody and there is no need to justify anything, its all there. We all know the tre flip counts especially considering the broken truck because i mean theres nothing else you couldve done to get a longer roll away out of that. As a skater i dont always think its silly to go back and redo a big trick for any reason, i think that a tre flip down el toro is worth going back for if you think that it calls for a redo. Im confident that he can stomp one out with the roll away and not get seriously injured in the process. Either way Chris is already a legend for being the first to tre flip el toro as well as all of his other milestones in skating.
