    Recap:
    We used:
    10x20 Slotted tray resting inside
    10x20 Solid tray
And an additional Solid Tray for Covering during Germination.
(We use shallow trays from Bootstrap Farmer.)
3 quarts of growing medium (We use a variety ProMix soil blend)
    14lb Paver for Germination Weight
220g Dry Weight of Speckled Peas from True Leaf Market per tray.
Spray Hose for top watering before sowing and again before stacking.
Measuring Cup for Bottom Watering 1.5-2 cups daily (Depending your temperature and humidity conditions.)
Barrina Grow Lights - 1 per shelf
    Mercer 6" Knife for Harvesting.

Hey man, really like the channel. However, I'd suggest in a nice mic you can attach to your body, not in the game so i don't know the current market. It will greatly help your channel.
I know we all watch dony but make this channel your own you know. Also when I had upload issues all those years ago, I could get audio and that but the video would freeze, and chop. It was because the hard drive on my computer wasn't fast enough to capture everything. So it lost parts and packets of data as it either records or transfers, switched to a much faster transfer speed and the issue was gone (either faster hhd, or go solid state ssd or m.2. make sure its compatible before buying (some say ssd might wear out eventually but I still use my original one and do full wipes on the system every few months or so, no issues, and terabytes aren't nearly as expensive as they used to be when I bought mine). Hope this help you and your family. Though not all issues are the same, take my words as my experiences only. Good luck!

Can you cover what to look for for a finished pea micro? There was a jump in the video and you didn't cover it. They don't have the same signifier as most microgreens. Thanks!

      Great Question!
Our goal with peas is to have open leaves & about 6" tall
We used to grow them quite a bit taller as you can see in the video, but found over time that they taste better, are more tender, and package nicely at 6" tall.
      I hope that helps!

Is the 9-10 day grow period just growing under lights or does that include the three days of soaking too?

Very detailed video and nice close ups. I can imagine watching a time lapse video of the peas growing on those trays. New friend from the 1k challenge

Thanks, Yes it is fun watching everything grow from start to finish. Maybe I'll work on putting together some Time-lapse footage for one of my upcoming videos!

Is there any water in bottom of tray before you weight?

    • @IttyBittyMicroFarm

No- when we water our trays before germination, we don't want to oversaturate the soil to the point of dripping to the tray below.

So appreciative I found you. Since moving to the south from the west, my microgreens were not doing well at all. I got the bootstraps and decided to give it another go starting with speckled peas. I also started using the Coco Loco, which I have used in the past for garden seed starting but never for greens. I also use azomite, alfalfa and kelp and MAN, Im a microgreener again. My microgreens have NEVER been better. I grow in the basement under Sunblaze 54W T5's. Thank you so much for the tips, you rock!

Thanks! In this series, we were using Promix BX. We recently made a switch to Coco Loco by FoxFarms and have seen a significant increase in yield and quality :)

Stir fry is great with Peas! We also sauté them in olive oil & garlic with (or without) spinach for a delicious side dish!
