Even just watching Andor now should retroactively make you dislike the terrible Ep 8 (I cannot speak to 9, never watched it after the disaster of a movie Ep 8 was) _at least._
      Ep 7 was merely unoriginal and unimaginative. Ep 8 was an actively horrendous movie sequel to an established franchise. If it were a standalone space film, it would be tolerable, but as a SW movie it fails entirely, even actively harms the canon. Therefore, if you _liked_ Ep 8, that just means that you don't give a damn for consistency at all - which you can do, of course. @moomoocowsly. Your attribution of my feelings about this piece of music to being an American is wrong. I sympathize with the oppressed. In this case, the oppressed are the common folk under the empire. When their rights are taken away and those in charge do not want to listen to their grievances, they can only take so much before revolting.
      You may have a point in that someone from 300 years ago may more likely be sympathetic to their monarch. The question is why? In a word, ignorance. If they are not aware of the plight of others or of the monarch's oppressive acts, they cannot act upon it. Similarly, if they are taught that "other" people are less than human, then they can be conditioned to ignore the "other's" oppression. See Jews in WW2 Germany, Imperial Japan's treatment of other Asian ethnic groups, Uyghirs in China, Slavery, etc etc.
      We nowadays have the luxury of education and interconnection like no other time in history. We can choose to see the humanity and others and instantly see what others are going through with the power of telecommunications. Think of the Iranian protests, the mass imprisonment of the Uyghir people, the war crimes Russia is committing in Ukraine, Kosovo, the list goes on and on. A common person 300 years ago would have no idea those things were happening or maybe wouldn't care.
      Also, you completely ignore any other revolutions that may have taken place literally anywhere else in the world. See Russian revolution, Fall of Qing Dynasty in China, Islamic revolution in Iran, once again, the list goes on and on.

    Andor was so phenomenal and I hope Disney know that otherwise we could end up with more bobf or the sequels. Also I’d like to keep the formula of 12 40 minute episodes instead of like 7 20 minute episodes.

    • @tk-6967
      @tk-6967 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I hope that they stop putting Dave Filoni at the head of everything. I mean it is blitheringly obvious that in every Dis+ tv show apart from this that he had some creative role that fucked it up. I mean he even ruined protodekas in BOBF. Those things could take out entire platoons of clone troopers and yet they couldn't take out some emos and farmers in BOBF

    • @AppleSaurus01
      @AppleSaurus01 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The formula for Star Wars shows has always been really weird. The Mandalorian had 8 episodes, Boba had 7, Kenobi had 6, and this show has 12. It just seems like they can’t decide on what is best for these shows.

    • @tk-6967
      @tk-6967 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@AppleSaurus01 Due to the changing prices probably, and they have gotten different people for all of these shows aside from the fact that mando, BOBF and obi wan were all clearly influenced by dave filoni.

    • @officialmonarchmusic
      @officialmonarchmusic ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@tk-6967 Honestly, I think it was more Favreau and Rodriguez. Filoni is stretched so thin these days, he isn't quite as involved with the live action stuff as much as Favreau is, and Favreau is writing it as well. Rodriguez directed it, and he probably caused those problems to happen. It is similar to what he did in his other episodes. Arguably the best episode of BoBF is the one directed by Dav Filoni. I'm not saying he's perfect, but people need to stop using him as a scapegoat for everything.

    • @tk-6967
      @tk-6967 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Monarch Music but all of the issues with the shows are just reoccurring negative trends from clone wars and rebels. It is fairly clear as well. All of the shows have the same flaws with villains because excluding Maul, they are otherwise 1 dimensional, or at least more rounded than they should be in the case of rebels. TCW had grievous as a complete non threat, while dooku was purely horrid with 0 nuance. Rebels used very high-quality actors for the main villains, which is why the issue definitely doesn't stand out as much. The Grand Inquisitor isn't really that evil, Jason Isaacs makes him sound quite smug, and that is generally his defining trait. Vader is done well because James Earl Jones plays him and because Vader is genuinely like that portrayal. Thrawn is definitely done wrong, but since he is such a good character, he still ends up being great, especially since the majority of people agree that this voice suits him best, and Timothy Zahn himself actually agrees I think. The Emperor was not actually been handled well IMO, he goes from being void of emotion to cackling like crazy.

    It's the good ol' rebellion that we've seen countless times throughout starwars, oh but this time it's very different.
    It's not from the PoV of jedi, princesses, Sith or anything, it's from the PoV of the common men and women of the galaxy, no rank, no affiliations, no loyalties.
    That's what makes Andor great, even the smallest person can make the biggest change.
