Thanks for watching!
$500 is too much, but I guess it's intended for collectors only. On the other hand, if a crappy Rolex costs $10k, then this one should cost somewhere around 100 sextillion dollars. So, no objection.
I ordered one on the 15th of March here in Australia. Was able to get one. Mine is 3299. I justified this purchase as its a 50th bday present for myself. I was 50 in December.
Wish you a happy 100 birthdays
that is the only viable justification for the price. hope you enjoy it.
Received mine today here in Mumbai, India, and cannot hold myself back from looking at it over and over again - beautiful design, stellar display and awesome bracelet - it's all there. As a Casio fan, and a watch collector, I couldn't be happier! The best digital watch money can buy. Period. This is made in Japan bottom up, and the build quality completely justifies the price.
Yeeeesss!! I managed to find one on amazon japan. 😍 I love it!!
Such a lovely watch. I'm sure we'll see some more fun re-releases for 2024. Good on you for getting one!!
Just 1 year older then my mom, I never knew about this vintage model, it really looks beautiful with steel body. Thanks for showing this, and I am back my exams went well. Thanks
Great, but so expensive.
I like the trn-50ss slightly more and that's the one I am going to get. Thanks for the review!
Such a good piece … one of my favorite.
See is good pics & shines is good
This brings back memories, love it!!!
What it’s all about!
I really like that, it’s proper cool.
it’s a nice looking watch,
I managed to get one of these here in Australia 🇦🇺 and am looking forward to receiving it👍
Nice, congrats on yours! 🤝
Such a lovely watch ❤
Love it
How is it possible that CASIO thaught that it is a good idea, to give this watch only 5 bar of water resistance? 😮
Are you an octopus?
@@MrKubahadesEven Casio doesn’t recommend showering with a 5 bars watch. So you can’t even take it in the pool. Considering a $30 AE-1200 has better water resistances (4 times more) is absolutely ridiculous.
@@watchesbythomsen Nah, I wouldn't worry. When Casio says it's 5bar, then WR is actually around 10bar or even more. There are some F-91W tests here on yt... and they can take it with only 3bar.
@@damyr It's true in some situations. But NOT something that's a thing for all of them. You do you, but don't come crying when your watch dies. I have killed many (6 I think) F-91W by just showering with them.
@@watchesbythomsen I had several different Casios, including F-91W, which I still have today... I showered, swam and did some snorkel diving with them... never had any issues whatsoever. And I've never heard anyone else ruined a Casio with showering. So, I don't really know what did you do with yours. Except if you pressed buttons while showering/swimming, which is a big NO, NO.
Btw, there is a slight possibility that a very hot water can damage a plastic case and enter into it. Or maybe damage a sealing rubber behind the buttons. And that's why producers advise against showering, even more than against swimming.
But this one is quality made stainless steel, and I would never worry about showering with it.
For this price should be sapphire glass!
You can pay over 5k for a new Omega Speedmaster without a sapphire glass.
@@vanillacoffee I have a lots of watches some of just 150-200 dollars, all saphire, seiko made in japan ,solar etc...
Omega is lowvquality overpriced watches..I had
Nice watch
It's wonderful, it feels vintage yet modern and is a solid Casio overall, but... being limited edition and so expensive are two HUGE mistakes. Casio could've joined the current reissue trend & created the perfect premium non-G-Shock digital at the same time, but missed it entirely.
It’s a nice watch but 50 meters resist ? And the price oh god there crazy 😂 Nice review thank you for sharing with us 😃
People have issue with price but these are limited anniversary models, and when limited they're more geared towards collectors,, these meant to be kept pristine imo😃
I'm going to get so many girls with this.
😂🤝
Probably men, I'm sorry 😂
😂 although, the funny thing is that I have seen many girls wearing Casios in my city ⌚
For the price it really should have sapphire crystal.
What's all the fuss about only 50 meter water resistance. How many people are going to dive 50 meters (150 feet)?
Gorgeous
I cant believe people think this watch is better or even close to the Tissot PRX Digital.
Lol.
Agree fully. Tissot pxr much better quality.
A-171 is like 30$ the look of this casio tron just saying I really wish casio would build a very similar model it would sell like hot cakes
Oh dear. It's 800USD in my country. And that's from an authorized dealer!
Nice but, with the technology nowadays $500 for a retro...you payin for the metal Bracelet,,,I don't know the difference between user and collection craziness. Who knows maybe ten year from now that thing will be worth 5000 dollars,
👍
Sorry, but $500 watch should be at least saphire glass. Still behind my sub $100 Seiko.
How big is your wrist?
Nice watch but I'm sorry Casio at the price you're asking I can only see this as a money grab
Yeah, that feels like a disappointing revival. At least price the TRN-50 at at least $50 to $80.
Well, you're right. But this was intended as a special limited edition... which is always just a money grab from collectors.
What's a money grab, actually? Isn't every watch available for sale doing the same? You wont find a watch with these specs for less.
How about a Casio GW-5000U or Oceanus OCW-S100 and save yourself some cash, but at the end of the day it's just all about choice
This watch makes the Swatch collaborations look reasonably priced.
It feels extremely un-Casio.
@@TheGrenadier97It's well in line with them. The original this homages was thousands in the 70s. They've always had a premium line, just look at MRG and Oceanus.
Its a cool watch but overpriced as fuck
I think the person who set the price for this was headhunted from Swatch!
Not a good looking watch.
it's not singing to me. pass
No, it's a big no. Glad you could grab one, but it's not worth that price.
It's so obvious Casio have made this to grab money that makes me angry. And to be honest, the only people celebrating this anniversary are the ones reselling this to twice/thrice the price tag.
Probably the fair price point for this, considering materials, module etc will be around 200$.
And, mineral crystal... It's so damn scratchable, you don't notice it in G's because the glass is surrounded by resin lips, but believe me, it's not that good.
And, to be fair, 50 meters of WR is RIDICULOUS. Basically you can take a light shower with it, just unacceptable at this price point.
The next big Casio release will be a new line with blue accents on metal, and there is a casiotron too... I hope this time they'll put it in his right price point.
Glad for your new watch, f###ing angry with Casio.
For Collectors Only
God dam, this watch is ugly!
