  • It is time to do some coastal foraging and cook our catch! We had the awesome opportunity to host the Outdoor boys for a few days of beachcombing and coastal foraging. Our goal was to get an octopus and other goodies to make a few meals. We hope you enjoy coming along for the fun!

      Great to see how easy it is for you to be enjoying the day with your kids. Excellent parenting examples for your kids - seeing how to be prepared and safe,seeing you manage the disappointment when you aren’t catching anything, learning how to all work together, exploring and teaching about sea life, cleaning and preparing what you catch - wonderful! You are teaching your kids life skills. How wonderful that you get to spend time together. Everett has such a wonderful time exploring the beach. Congratulations Dad on making such special memories.

    Let's Go Home and see Mom, what a great thing to say to your Baby after time away...Happy Mother's Day!!!
    "THE ALASKA BOYS" never disappoint. It was great seeing Everett explore, learn, forage, watch, and laugh. Starting Young gives them an Adventure Heart. And he is at that age he wants to see and do it all. Love love love seeing you with your Boys.
    The Country Rock Music while you cooked was awesome. And that meal, I said to Gary, an Off Grid Foraging Paella with Ramen Noodles. Now that is ultimate dining. I bet you were all hungry.
    Beautiful, mind blowing and stunning to watch. Bet Lauren was one happy Momma to see her boys home.

    That Octopus catch was really cool! Show more of that. Cooking was not that great. FYI. Maybe you can watch some videos on how to cook Octopus and other dishes and round out your skills?
    The fishing was cool also but the octopus was the best part.

    This video was so much fun. Silly or not so silly as it may sound, what you did in this video has been a dream of mine. A beach on Alaska with family and friends catching lunch and dinner, foraging, and cooking up great food with a warm cabin and a big fire, I'd be in heaven with a big cup of coffee. Love that I can in a way join your adventures. Your family is wonderful, love all of the videos you all make for us, thank you. Happy Mother's day to all the moms. ☺☺

    I truly love the content that you put out, how awesome was this vlog!?! Catching the flounder and making the fresh fish tacos, I bet they were delicious! The finding and collecting of all the different sea creatures were so interesting. Finding that octopus was amazing, all the work you put into getting him out from under the rock. Your stir fry I bet was very tasty, I would have love to have tried it! I loved watching the eagles flying down to pick up the creature guts...awesome! Thank you, Mark for taking us along with you!!! 🌼

    This was so cool! How awesome to meet Luke and Jacob and have a fun time together. The Eagles really are a spectacular creature and they are fast!! Wouldn't eat the sea eggs either Everett no matter how good Dad said they are. That poor Octopus 🐙 😢 he did not want any part of your noodle dinner. Loved every minute of this video, hard to believe you have a job in an office you are certainly connected to the land. Thanks so much for sharing this great trip with us all. 👍

    • @AlaskaBoys
      @AlaskaBoys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d have to agree that the octopus was not a willing participant in the noodle dish 😂. Everett is a good sport to try new foods. I think it was just out of context for him, but I thought they tasted 👍. Thanks for watching.

    Beautiful place! Too bad the fishing was not great. Good shot of the eagles. Is that Yoshida sauce on the noodles? The red sea weed at low tide looked like it would be good.
    Looks hard filming and flipping rocks by yourself.

      Self filming with a four year old is tricky, but generally works out. Yes, that was Yoshida sauce with a generous potion of fresh ginger.
