Not a big fixed blade guy either, but I love the guardian series. The sheepsfoot is my favorite. I agree on the leather, I like it a lot, but prefer the retention of kydex. Have a great day!
Everyone hates on the leather sheath and I love it, scout carry EDC between 2 of these. I did wear a sheath out it was 10 bucks to replace it. Love it sheath and all.
Great video. Love my Gaurdian 3. I got the GPKnives exclusive in Rex45 with jade g10 for $110. I almost got the M390 version but couldn't pass on the Rex45 one at that price. I watched this video before purchasing it and it really helped make my decision. Thank you.
I think people do a whole lot of whining honestly🤣. It’s a sharp, well made knife with a great steel over 60 hrc. Our predecessors used far less better quality blades to do everything we do and more. For what you are paying for it’s insane people complain. Literally the standard pocket knife is plenty as most people do more gocking over their steel manufacturers than they do actual use.
I love fixed blades . That looks like a good one. I EDC a WINKLER belt knife, and a TOOR field 2.0. Trying to trade my KA-BAR for a folder, and it has been in 2 Wars with me . I do not own a folder . Have a great afternoon!
The leather sheath is not good my tip cut through i was carrying the 3.5 had it in scout carry reached back and sliced my hand open . Get kydex pls besides that great edc fixed blade .
I have very high standards for EDC fixed blade sheaths. No leather, just right retention, unobtrusive, light weight, great accessibility, ease of cleaning, my list of requirements is long. But when I satisfy it (by making my own kydex sheath), and with a spectacular knife like the Guardian3, there's almost nothing better.
@@DirkWerning my point is that fixed blade EDCs are made or broken by their sheaths. I think the reason most knife people don't get into them is they never find one with a sheath that checks all the boxes for them.
@@ZPositive i dont carry the Master Hunter because the securex they use destroys knife edges being fiber impregnated and the sheath is too tactical looking. I carry the $15 Mora Companion over it
that edge bevel looks huge so I'd bet it's overbuilt like most edc knives and thus cuts like shit. but with a brittle steel like m390, it's probably necessary to avoid chipping in actual use. not many knife bros actually use knives though, I've noticed.
This comment is ironic. If you were a real knife user you’d know the edge bevel looks big bc it’s sharpened at 15°-17°. Acute sharpening angles are taller than shallow ones, hold an edge longer, and cut better. Nothing to do with being “overbuilt”…also, one look at the blade geometry and blade stock thickness should tell you this blade is absolutely slicey and cuts beautifully. It’s very thin behind the edge and the false edge grind doesn’t give you “speed bumps” as material passes over the blade.

Just my rex 45 version in the mail today it is a damn sweet little EDC fixed blade.
@@richierich3053 Glad you like it. I added a kydex sheath from Armatus for horizontal carry. Love the knife but wasn't a fan of the leather sheath.
I carry mine in a oak city leather supply sheath that has a pocket clip on it so i can carry it like a folder
Oh nice

I would hold on to that aka Bar msn. That would be a keeper having been to battle.
It's a great looking little fixed blade. Great review 👍
Thanks.
I just ordered one. I hope its great. Does Bradford do good heat treatments ?
Cool. Please post back up and let us know what you think after you get it.
At purchase you pick a right or left handed sheth and don't worry about the knife coming out of the sheth. Mine never has.
Ahh okay good to know.

Oh wow really?? That’s crazy.
Looks like the sheath can be scout carried.

That’s cool. And I agree it needs to be just right.

Many video with this super knife, always cuting only paper, can't it do better ?
Oh it certainly can and it cuts well. I’m not that good at showing cutting tests etc
Thats a burr on the apex.

Oak city leather company has a great leather pocket sheath for the Bradford guardian 3 (and many others) @oakcityleathercompany
Very cool thanks.
