Can you apply for the RPAL online if you already have a PAL and did that process online? It seems to suggest you can only apply online once so if you go for the RPAL later, it must be a paper copy mailed in, but that doesn't make sense.

Being treated for mental health disorders isn’t necessarily an automatic ban from obtaining a pal. But it’s also not as easy as your doctor saying you’re fine. I know this because I have been treated for depression, anxiety and PTSD during my PAL application. There’s paperwork for your doctor to do. They need to provide objective medical evidence as opposed to just saying you’re fine. So I’d recommend talking to your doctor about it, and working through the paperwork together. RCMP may also contact your doctor if they have further questions.
Hello, if I'm applying by mail for pal/rpal, can I use recent taken passport photos as my ID photo? I'm getting mixed answered, some saying the photo will be rejected due to dimensions
If you can cut the photo to the dimensions required as per the check list then you’ll be fine. Otherwise, you do risk your application being refused. There is a check list that prints with the paper application. Read it carefully and ensure you are following every step.

So stupid because you use to get a reminder in the mail and they have stopped. I have from today til November thirtieth to get my pal back. And I have to mail it tomorrow morning.
You mean expiry? I didn’t know they don’t remind you anymore. But in that case have your digital assistant remind you when it’s time. I use that function all the time whenever I need to remember anything important.
I'd recommend giving them a call, but I imagine yes - probably just like your driver's license. If you let it lapse, you have to go through the process again after a certain point in time. 1-800-731-4000 - call them and ask.

Hy.. i got my training done and got my info form fseso. I tried to apply rpal online but its telling me to provide letter of good conduct. But i dont know where to upload that letter. Can anyone help me am at second page of MyCFP where they ask about your date of birth and place of birth its not letting me continue or upload the letter. Some help plz 🙏🏼

@@criticledudegaming You should be able to upgrade simply by filling out another application. If you want to do this online you'll probably have to go through the new online portal (for online applications) and at some point in the application, select RPAL. Similarly, this can be done on a paper application where you can select to apply for your RPAL. Either should allow you to upgrade your license. If in doubt call RCMP at 1-800-731-4000 they should be able to help.

They kinda screwed up because they have the main CFP account that you would sign in to check your mailed application, get a transfer number, register a restricted firearm etc but then they have an online only account for online apps and they are NOT the same thing. Kinda stupid and a waste of resources. If you’re talking about the account to do online app you don’t need to worry. It will self delete after a period of inactivity.

If you follow the instructions in the application and checklist this should be fairly self explanatory.
Figured it out change pic to proper file then best quality to bring it up past 200 kg. Done. Stressed my out for a week then I got it lol

I’ve spoken to them on this. If you already have your PAL you need to apply conventionally for your RPAL.

There's only two ways. You must already have your non restricted. Or, you do both courses for NR and R in one weekend and apply for both.

I didn't see an option to add my RPAL scanned copy. Cant you add them both at the same time?
You can apply for both at the same time, yes.

On the paper application there is a place where you check next to the box for each license you are applying for.

The license is a physical card. But there’s a mandatory 28 day waiting period before they even look at your application. Give it another 2 months.

I’d give CFP a call. Unfortunately I can’t be much help here because I applied for both my licenses on paper.
