Recent Firearm Bans in Canada - A Look Back at 4 Years of Ineffective Policy and Fear Mongering
On December 6, 2024 the federal government announced another sweeping gun ban in the form of an OIC that instantly prohibited 324 models of various firearms. This is in addition to Bill C-21, the handgun ban and the initial OIC in May of 2020 banning thousands of models of semi-automatic rifles and shotguns without any data supporting that doing so would make our communities safer.
The full list of guns that were banned this time around was compiled by the @CCFRtv in this document: firearmrights.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Dec-5-Gun-Ban-List-Mark.pdf and includes firearms used in hunting and sport shooting - including 22 caliber rifles used for "plinking".
How we can fight this:
1. VOTE. When the election comes, and it IS coming, vote these tyrannical lunatics out of power.
2. PROTEST: Write your MLAs, MPs and MPPs to voice your concerns about your rights and how they have been violated by this government. Demand that they overturn these regulations which attack your right to own and enjoy property.
3. EDUCATE: Talk to your friends, family and colleagues about firearm ownership. Take them to the range. Show them safe practices. Inform them about the process, tell them what it's like, and help them understand that licensed firearm owners and gun culture in Canada are a blessing, not a curse.
4. DO NOT GIVE UP: Do not give up your property and do not give up the fight for your rights. Today it's your firearms. Tomorrow it will be something else you love.
5. SHARE: Share our videos, and those of other Canadian firearm TH-camrs who are educating and helping others. The more of us there are, the louder our collective voices become.
6. SUPPORT: Become a CO VIP and buy our merch (below) or use the super thanks button to show your appreciation and directly contribute to more videos like this. The canadian government loves being a nanny state
Hi curious, can i store my rifles unloaded with unloaded mags in them so they dont get lost?
ENGLAND BANNED GUNS & GUNPOWDER IN COLONIAL AMERICA!! In 1774 guns & gunpowder were banned in colonial America, over 250 years ago!! Then attempted gun confiscation by the English army on April-19 1775 in the colony of Mass. (Concord& Lexington) & this started that 8-year war for America's independence & England almost won that war!!
THE BATTLE OF ATHENS TENN AUG 1&2 1946. A stolen local election caused a 6-hour gun battle & then a use of dynamite at a police station to retrieve the stolen ballot boxes & brought justice in 1946 America!
Our gun law makers in Canada have no knowledge of guns and ammo, so the laws they make are out of complete ignorance. The Liberal government use Canadian law abiding gun owning citizens to show they are winning the war against illegal guns showing their victories against us for news headlines. The Liberals prevent the Canadian public from knowing all of the restrictions that Legal license gun owners go through. The legal gun owners need to advertise and educate the rest of Canada and show the numbers between legal gun owner violence to illegal gun violence. Substantial difference that would prove that the Liberal Government has done nothing wxcept bully law abiding citizens.
I shake my head at some of our gun laws. We have some of the most restrictive regulations for gun ownership. I'm all for safety, but when they are arbitrary and confusing, why? Great video. 👍
Canadian tyranny
With the situation in Nova Scotia, it's worth a quick Google search to find out that the perpetrator of that randomly went to a brinks depository and received a large sum of money. Everything about that screams paid false flag by the RCMP.
You guys suckkkkkkkk
Please double check the storage requirements for restricted arms in a vault. I think you will find a trigger lock is not required. But it must be a vault.
Put a few cubes of camphor in your storage containers and it will micro coat everything and make it waterproof.
Will look into that, thanks!
Good news and bad news. Good news: This was not the end Bad news: this was the beginning of things getting much worse.
Well said. Let's hope things turn around. In one way or another.
Chiminal: “heh heh, drill go zoom zoom.” Crypto anarchist: “heh heh, printer go eeh eeh.” Crack head in his garage: “heh heh, Luty Gun go pew pew” Me: “heh heh, there’s not a fucking thing you’re going to do about firearms and the way of proving that gun control has problems is by becoming the fucking problem. Your country isn’t safe from guns, Europe and Japan are next. Your arguments for gun control are irrelevant and the right to own small arms is not protected under a several hundred year document, it’s not protected by God but rather by human nature lastly, it’s not negotiable. you are only a slight speed bump in small arms innovation and technology. Scared? -well buckle up.”
They tried that in Colorado, USA. But they left in a rule that said standard capacity mags already owned are grandfathered in. We played the game for a while, stores started selling 'parts kits' that included all parts needed for a magazine, aka 'refurbish kit'. Then it was found there's no real way to tell if a magazine was owned before/after the ban (some polymer mags do have a 'made on' date) other than if it did get a staking rivet. Now because how the law was worded, it's unenforceable and overall ignored. Shops still carry unmolested standard magazines. 👍
What is the safe and were to get one
This is the Cabella's 10 Gun cabinet and the store name is in the product name :D
That’s your rifle , mine may and likely is different.
Sure it will. But it can give you an indication of how certain ammo will play in a given rifle. I’ve experimented with my GSG-16 back when I made this video as well as a friends, and both rifles liked and disliked the same ammo. This isn’t an exact science. It’s meant to give people an approximation of the performance of certain ammo. But it’s not an absolute.
Government and cops are too lazy to go after real criminals, so they need to invent criminals out of law abiding gun owners.
A totalitarian dictatorship-you know nothing you twit, I have colleagues who grew up in one, they can't even talk about it.
Well, that's nice. But you don't know me, nor what I've lived through. So your argument has zero basis, other than for the purposes of either being a troll, keyboard warrior, or both.
Some one Brock into my house stoll my 223 mine ruger with 20 clip, cops said if the found it I would not get the 20 clip back.my gun ?.
You poor voting saps
I mean the GSG and drum mag Aswell as stick mags are now prohibited. It's all stupid. But we have very little say
Who cares, it’s Canada!
The won't let me buy a charger? So this government is nuts
The thing woth the 10/22 was cuz of the pistol, as pistols being restricted (lame i know) having a 30 rnd pistol wasnt aloud, but i have a gsg15 amd you can buy 150 rnd drums for those at cabelas and theyre not pinned
America is going down the same rabbit hole only difference is the holes full of tannerite
Stop following bad laws.
Firearms laws today make little to no sense because of politicalization . Bans done only to raise the liberals in the polls 😮
I'd not pin it down to 5 or 10 rounds if it's for example a 30 round meg then it's 30 rounds im not changing it for the blackface i bet his protection flunkies are not carrying megs at just 5-10 rounds
As legal gun owners we have to comply with Canadian law. But as protectors, we need to prepare for emergencies. This entails food water shelter and magazine that hold more than 10 rounds. Police response time was over 2 hours during COVID. Ukrainians had no firearms to protect their families at the onset of the invasion. Palestine was stolen by terrorists zionists after the British mandate. Can you predict the next anarchy?
At this point they're going to ban reloads because Canadians getting amazing at reloads
All firearms laws are stupid. Why? Because they all claim to exist for the sole purpose of preventing crime. Yet, because criminals don't follow firearms laws, the only people affected by these laws are the ones who don't commit crimes. Meanwhile, the criminals are better armed than the people in general. That means that firearms laws only serve to help criminals, thus they do the opposite of what they claim. Who wants laws that increase crime and help criminals and make the public less safe?
Yawn...In the U.S. I store my firearms in racks along the walls in my den so they are ready when I need them.
We can do that too. Just need to have a trigger or cable lock on it (if it's non restricted). Trigger lock is probably the easiest, and there are some that allow the user to remove them quite quickly while still satisfying the legal requirement of needing to have one.
Pretty sure Canada makes or imports 1/8” drill bits.
Because Canada is sooooooo gay.
In a completely unrelated note,I bet drill bits aren't illegal.
First of all, consider moving to a free country, or dethroning your nazi overlord. But if you won't, why would you buy the more expensive ruger mag, and pin it to ten rounds? The factory (rotary) ten round mag is cheaper, and more reliable.
Laws written on paper by pampered millionaires who are protected by armed security have no physical effect on criminals. Criminals will still obtain weapons, whilst the law-abiding public is left defenseless.
Absolutely.
Great job on this video. Grateful for the level of detail- well done. Thank you
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful!
Canada taking away your abilities one thing at a time under Trudeau.
The latest ban made all those particular firearms ilegal anyways ... So no more worries on pinned magazine lol .. except the ruger 10/22... At least so far
All gun laws are illogical since they presume criminals will follow them. Magazine are boxes with springs in them, yes they have tight tolerances, but an engineer w a 3d printer can design a mag of any size.
