You can also take a small plane directly from Cancun airport to Cozumel. :-) They are Mayair and it's usually $75 one way and take 15 minutes. They usually run Mon-Sat 9am-5pm - but that may be different during the pandemic.

Also, if you find you want to explore other places, you can easily do a day trip over to Playa del Carmen on a quick 45 minute ferry

So glad you found it helpful! When you arrive to the Cancun Airport, after you leave baggage claim but BEFORE you walk outside the airport you can find a desk near the rental car desks that is specifically for buying Ado bus tickets.

Take the ADO from Cun airport to ferry in Playa. Pick the next ferry. Go to the island. Stay further inland to really have fun.

Go to the blue taco truck, looks sketchy but they have the best tacos on the island
