I continue to re-watch over time all the movies he's ever been in, and some I didn't know existed! What a skilled man he was, a master of his craft. A loss to all that love him, but still providing laughs all these years later still.
This is one movie that just instantly takes me back to a care-free time in my life, makes me happy and sad at the same that I still cry even as a grown man. I don't know if the youth of today can experience this kind of joy. Got to admit, this world got fucking weird and not in a good way. RIP Robin Williams

There is at least two types of trailers for a reason. Other is the more "mystical" one, that shows small bits and pieces, but does not tell that much, a sneak peak, and other tells quite a lot about the movie and this latter is by design and audience. The trailer that tells "too much" is for people who are looking for a movie but want to know if the movie is for their taste or not because they are not interested to try a movie if they do not have a solid idea what kind of movie it is. So the trailer is designed to show plenty enough what the movie is all about so people know that that is a movie for me/not movie for me. They rather take the "safe" option where trailers tells them what they are going to get. Sometimes very thoroughly. There are usually test screenings where they try to decide which kind of trailer works best for the focus group with each movie. And there also can be both type of trailers for same movie. Short one and then the more expansive one. Personally I understand, in some cases I actually have a bit more in-depth trailer to have better view what it is all about. Short version works if you already have some sort of idea expectations what kind of movie it is.
Interesting, because this trailer is the opposite of the other 99% of trailers I've seen of 1980s and 1990s movies. If you look up trailers from basically any other movie during that era, those trailers gave away the whole movie.

I really like the pre Neverland stuff but when they actually get there it turned very messy
I remember how wide eyed I watched this trailer in the cinema at 7 years old. It's advertised almost in the same way as a horror movie, and you don't see anything of Neverland in it. I remember thinking, "This looks amazing!"

now as an adult the bit that gets me is the 'I remember my mother' scene where it goes back to Peter in a pram with the sad but yet happy music. I literally nearly burst into tears lol even thinking about it now!

Last year I remember watching this with the family. I sat there watching it and loved it, more so becouse you could recognise something. I'm 30 this month. This film becomes more cemented when you get older. It's like playing kingdom hearts. You see things that you recognise. It's done very well for the sequal of peter pan. I just never knew that a film would be of its era and time that you see things close but far away in when it was made. Like nothing would change but they do.
This film in my opinion shouldn't have been received terribly with critics I watched it not that long ago and loved it. Robin made me believe that he was Peter Pan all grown up. While I also loved Smee and Captain Hook

What a difference in how a movie is presented back then to now. Now they'd give the entire plot of the movie so I don't need to see it. And I'm sure Peter pan and Wendy will do amazing *sarcasm*

There was one in 2003 that actually was pretty good. The animated sequel was also pretty decent.
