Wow i just stumbled across their page and liked what i saw. I came across it because i saw Adams(of course trying to get into everything) now sells a mixed bed single DI system and said "I'm not going to pay them just cause it has their name on it. I'm going straight to the source." and then bypassed the manufacture of their tanks and came across PWDI's site and something about them just really got me. So of course we TH-cam everything to see reviews and test. and i came across your page. You got a new subscriber here, and PWDI has a new customer. Thank you brother from a fellow detailer for your content.
0:24 / 8:31 Do you have a list of the Absolute Best DI Tank System setup including the specific part and where to purchase them? Would i still ask for Ben if I contacted Aqualux Auto Detailing? Loved your video. System looks great!
Im assuming the looping green hose is to bi-pass the resin? My only concern with this is I will miss all the fun of using a polisher with rayon pad and ceriglass and that abrasive making a mess.😛
I notice the tanks say Cation and Anion. Do you need to use a different type of resin in each tank? can you use regular resin in each tank or will that have a negative impact on the results or how long it lasts? Really interested in the On The Go system. Wish I saw this video 3 years ago. I hope you still respond to questions!
If you can harvest rainwater this is the most cost efficient way of using this set up as the resin is not cheap. If you go for a 40/40 RO setup it becomes bulky but great for a static set up. One down side of the RO is that for every gallon of water produced one gallon will be rejected so you have the additional water expense, not sure how cheap your water is in the states. As I said rainwater is brilliant it’s almost pure and would be about 15 ppm so resin would last a very long time
Can I use this DI tank system to fill my water tank so when I go out to detail my clients car the water will already be clean and I wouldn’t have to worry about leaving any water spots?
You can but you’re probably gonna go through a lot more resin that way DI water will stretch farther if you do it as a final rinse option but it’s totally up to you or you want to use it
Yes you can , especially if you have lower TDS at your house , or wherever your filling up your tank. You could have a reading of 120 at your house , and it could go up anywhere else you get water from.
Question, can you wash the car from start to finish instead of just rinsing it at the end? Would it cut down half the cars if you do it that way? So instead of 200 cars you can only do 100?? Thanks
The issue is volume of water goes up and you will have to invest in replacement resin sooner. It is suggested to use deionized water to rinse to extend the life of the resin.
Deionized water is worth every penny for any professional detailer especially if you're mobile. ~$3 dollars to not be fighting the sun 🔥🔥🔥. Special thank you to Ben. #AquaLuxAutoDetailing #OnTheGo
Been trying to find an affordable solution as I just would use it for personal use to wash my motorcycle’s. I’ll check this system out on there website.
That pro coating on the driver door looks great and has some nice water behavior! Any gloss readings (gu) between a pro coating and a consumer grade coating like dpc sheild pro?
@@AQUALUXAUTODETAILING You should look into them. Ease of use and durability is important but maintaining clarity and improving gloss takes priority on a car that stays in a garage. Not many detailers focus on that aspect of paint coatings/waxes & sealants.
Thanks for the info! Just ordered a Mixed Bed Double Standard Deionizer from On The Go. Seems like the best deal for low start-up costs. Note: The coupon code in the description is missing an "I" in the word "detailing" and I only got 5% off, not 10%. But after 2 years of this video being up, I'm still glad I at least got 5% off.
Great video! I love this channel. I just added this system to my detail set up and Ive had issues. First of all, i have resin media in the water output. I disassemble the canister and reassembled the tube, which I’m fixed that issue. Secondly, the best PPM I’ve been able to get is around 50 PPM. Yes, 50 is MUCH better than 400, but certainly not less that 10. And finally, when the system is engaged and producing treated water, the Active Pressure washer sounds like its REALLY struggling, and the pressure drops significantly. I’m not saying the system is the issue, maybe I’m doing something incorrectly? Maybe these “issues” I’ve mentioned are to be expected. But overall, I had different expectations than what I’ve achieved so far. I am in contact with Ben, and they have been great, but their responsiveness with my questions, but I don’t think there is much more that they can do at this point. Am I the only one with these problems?

@@annagraham6204 No doubt, tho I have found a workaround that gets me zero TDS no matter how garbage the city water is...and that's using an RO with a small 35 gallon tank. My current setup goes garden hose > sediment filter > carbon filtration tank > RO > resin > water collection tank. It sounds a little more involved but it's really not that complicated once I got the fittings all worked out. The water coming out of the RO and into the resin is only 6-7 TDS. The single cubic foot of resin the RO water has been going through is still putting out zero TDS since October 2021. It only takes about 18 hours to fill my tank which I have a smart valve to close on a timer, and that's not a big deal when I'm only washing my vehicles every two weeks. It's nice to have pure spotless water on demand where I can do quick rinses without drying after the sky decides to rain down brown sludge or birds attempt to chemically remove the paint from my truck.
