I was at great lakes on holds for a good 3 weeks and most other people were there like a month.....due to many CS graduating bootcamp. Then I was on hold here for a good 3 weeks.

When i was in the Navy A school was in San Diego
I was in MS "A" school in San Diego back in 92' . Back then it was 8 weeks. I have no idea what this girl is talking about. Our shit was way different. We were cranking until week 2 after that we went to the galley or bake shop (of course we rotated) then we went to supply/ inventory/ purchasing. My Navy was different back then. Let me ask you this.... why the name change from Mess Specialist to Culinary Specialist?

I went through CS A school in 2013, and yes we did that over the top cadence with the leaning stomps, that shit was so motivating and raised moral. XD

Because everyone told me I wouldn’t make it so I wanted to prove a point , and I wanted to challenge myself because I was a spoiled kid all my life . I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my life so I join the military to by me time to figure that out . I joined when I was 18 .

I was on hold for 6 weeks before starting MS A School in SD ...Back then if you were 18 you could drink beer on base and we'd go out every night ... Went to Mission Beach all the time and had fun....Sounds like they put a stop to that...LOL

You may be a great CS but lose the unsanitary nails and makeup. Maybe that's authorized in the Navy; wouldn't fly for a moment in the Army when I was in.
