Hey, I am in the process of joining the Navy. I've been loosing weight and changing my eating but I also wanna know what to expect for the physical training in boot camp, like is there anything I can do to be prepared or will I be alright if I'm somewhat active?
You have to pass the inital PFA on P-5, the run in the main thing if you cannot pass you'll get seperated. But be in shape. Be able to do average or better on push ups and sit ups and the run has to be done in 18:35 if I remember correctly. The air quality in Freedom Hall sucks. It's recycled and dry AF

man I am so glad I went to Orlando , Florida Navy boot camp. that was like paradise. I know its closed down now but females were on one side of the base and males at far end you never see the females until chow or weapons training, PE exercise

I didn't care what they did to me us boot camp it was better than where I came from. I never got a gun pulled on me or shot at in the navy the war was out here on the streets of los Angeles watts and Compton. A lot of these young people are spoiled

You available to shave on sundays because you have a longer time to shower

Essjalen Whorton I don’t think it matters. When I was in the Army and went to basic training in the summertime we weren’t allowed to have heavily scented lotion and products. Because we would be going to the field and sleeping outdoors and that would attract bugs lol but I don’t think it would matter in the Navy. I wouldn’t bring any perfume though. But Bath and body’s works lotion and soap shouldn’t be a problem.
Hey so I wanna join the navy but my question is at boot camp are we allowed to wear wigs ? I’ve been researching and I’ve seen that Sundays are chill days so I can just wash my real hair on Sundays cause I’m not comfortable at all about the state my hair is in I went through postpartum shedding and just shaved it balled but it’s still very short not grip able do they care about wigs? And I see that people wouldn’t recommend but if I wash my hair underneath I should be cool right? it shouldn’t smell bad

I'm 19 and graduated high school 18 years old, June 9, 2018. I been thinking about joining US Navy but I don't know if I want to join or not. My big sister was in US Army 6 months but she quit but atleast she tried, my Uncle did 3yrs in US Army, my grandad was in US Army at first and did I don't know how many years but after US Army he went in the US Navy and did 4yrs active duty in 1974 I think but I could be wrong. Thank god that my Uncle, Grandad and all his brothers still alive, including you as well and all the other Soldiers that been on TH-cam try giving advice. I am going to start watching your videos. I am still debating if I want to do it. I graduate in 2 months (well 78 more days) and time is ticking! I am a honor roll student with a 3.5 GPA. personally I do not want to go to college. I feel like the military would be a great start to being independent. And you’re right when I see people at my jobs who wear the military outfits (i am not sure if it’s a certain name for them) but I honored them. I see myself wearing a military outfit one day . I am not scare of joining. If anything I feel as if I let the negative people get in the way of me joining. And btw your sister won’t blow up (if she listens). I heard throwing the grenades are fun. What about cell phones? When given the option to keep it or ship it is a cell phone an option as well. I mean clearly you can't use it thats expected what I mean is to save for when you get to A school? Also advice about using the bathroom, this is another one of my things lol can we ask whenever at any time if we can go? Like say during swim qual, marching, watch, shooting, etc. Is there advice on when maybe its best to hold that shit haha

You will be fine , it’s not as physical as you think, it’s mostly running pushups and sit-ups. But mostly running 3 or 4 times a week

Navy pushups are down to 90° (arm makes a right angle). So you aren't going all the way down, if anything it's half way.

You'll definitely fail if you can't do any pushups. Make sure you work on them. You can start with just arm workouts and go up from there
