How do those pads compare to the extra soft pads for the Festool ETS? - Chris

Much softer. The foam pads are made to conform to contours

I haven’t bought one myself but am borrowing it again today to do things only it does, so yes I think it’s worth $600.
Good sanders are worth the investment. I’ve got Festool, Mirka, and now surfprep and looking at over 2k in hand held sanders and I’m glad for all of them.
If you make money woodworking it’s worth it. If you’re a hobbyist…depends on how much you like hand sanding

I'm a painter as a trade and a hobby woodworker. It's amazing for both. I mostly use it at work atm for prepping trim or cabinets before spraying. Everyone else has to sand by hand and I'm going way faster.
