After replacing the part, I had a conversation with my step-dad. He asked how I knew the problem. 1. My ex is a mechanic 2 he had 2 Hyundais with the same issue and replaced them. 3. I found this video which helped figure out how to do it on my own without my exes help. His next question was how long would this part last? I told him it has a one yr warranty but if it lasts me at least 3 more yrs until I pay off the car I'll be happy with that. If not I just saved myself labor that a mechanic would have charged to do it, and I at least know how to do it myself. So proud moment for me! 😊

What if it only works on level 1? That’s my problem. I don’t know what to do. But level 1 has cool air coming out and nothing on the other 3 levels. What do I do? Mine is a 2013 Tucson.

I agree with jay, should have just soldered it back. Saved the customer a ton of money. Plus now you basically must do the same job twice! Not a good idea on your part. Hopefully the customer only pays you once??

It looked like it could be repaired, at least temporarily, with a soldering iron. It's a poor design to have a resistive voltage divider for the fan. Some sort of pwm to step the voltage down to the fan motor without generating too much heat would be much better. The new part will fail again if it's another voltage-divider design.

Thanks but unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be the issue for mine
