Getting my bench up to 405 by 22 or 23 doesn’t sound crazy but then again I got real african blood. You guys are probably shitty genetic un athletic non prodigy’s. 😭 plentiful of kids in natural power lifting competitions are doing even greater numbers 💀💀

10 things to quit for all Strong Men:
    1. Caring about what others think
    2. Not believing in yourself
    3. Not experimenting different ideas / solutions for problems (life&business)
    4. Not prioritizing your health
    5. Wasting your precious time
    6. Wanting something (instead write a plan and work towards it)
    7. Chasing meaningless relationships
    8. Wasting or draining your energy from beating your meat 🥩
    9. Wasting time by scrolling social media
    10. Nailbiting/nailpicking habit for good (if you do it - consider stopping it as it makes you mentally weak + affects your confidence and all other areas of your life!)
Take it easy and I hope you found one thing helpful in this list.

I’ve been doing a PHUL program for the last 3 months. Power Hypertrophy Upper Lower. On power days I do heavy weight in a 5x3 set range. Last Friday I did 265 for 5 sets of 3. This coming up Friday I’ll be doing 270 for 5x3. On the last set I go to failure and I was able to get 5 reps. 3 months ago I was at 185 doing this setup and struggled hard. I was able to go up 10 pounds the next week though and did that until I got to around 245 and that’s when I started going up 5 pounds. On my Hypertrophy days for Monday I’m doing 4x12 sets with my last set to failure. Instead of flat bench I do incline bench and I just did 185 for 4x12 and 15 reps on the last set. Today I tried this pyramid and also did failure pushups between each set when I came back down the pyramid. I got up to 290 on my pyramid for 3 reps and then went down to 275 and got 6 reps. 250 for 7 reps. 225 is where I stopped going down and got another 4 sets of 10. Best damn chest workout I’ve ever done. I think I’m gonna still do my normal progressive overload on my power days but on my Hypertrophy days I’m gonna do the pyramid. Can’t wait until I’m repping 315 like it’s nothing

Basically master each rep range to optimize strength and muscle size. Strength (heavy barbell compounds) is important because it also allows you to use heavier weights with dumbbells and machines for accessories. Just ask yourself, “would I be small if I’m hitting the stack on the peck deck for 15-30 reps?” It’s not likely.

So to increase size and strength from this workout. We do 1 set per level of weight as heavy as possible to max. Then pyramid down to a level that's still heavy. Good one will do this.

Great video and information. Do you have anything specific for a cyclist? Core definition/strength, lower body/legs (hams, quads, glutes, calfs) to increase power, strength and endurance on the bike... Thanks..

I've always done it that way and it's awesome to see you endorse that. Question I have is what's the difference between warm up sets and the sets that lead up to the heavy? People do like 3 sets with some effort and then most effort on last? I just do feeler sets like they're nothing, then go heavy as hell. Then drop weight and rep it like you. I was just curious because to do 3 sets with effort then go your heaviest seems meaningless and will hurt and tire you out more. I'll do bench like you did but less sets, then incline DB press with 1 set to prime then drop weight for 2 more sets all to failure and then same deal with the rest of exercises.

When you do this method, are you still doing other exercise afterwords ? Like would you hit Incline after doing this much flat bench ? Or also hit triceps after doing 10 sets of flat bench ?
