I absolutely love this dude. He knew he was in Picture in Picture so decided to mess with some fans. There’s more to being world champion than in ring action. Interacting with the people that buy the tickets to see him do what he does. Love him or hate him, he makes you feel. Cliche but true.

Usually heels don't do a lot of interaction with fans unless they have to. They're standoffish. But in the absence of any babyface with the ability to interact like this with the crowd, they need MJF to do it but as a heel. Ric Flair is right. I see a lot of the Nature Boy in MJF. I don't see Stone Cold or The Rock. They were personifications of the 1990s and the anti-authority sentiment in society at that time. MJF is working in a dead era in terms of wrestling and has to make something out of nothing. He's done an excellent job, but he needs a babyface that AEW isn't going to bury. Pillman Jr if he'd been featured in the last year would have probably been good enough by this time, but since Tony Khan can't book wrestling to save his life, we have to go back to an old WWE guy.
50% is AEWs fault and 50% is Brian's fault

Honestly it’s Tony’s fault. I’m sure after a few years, he’ll get humiliated enough in front of the world, and he’ll get better. How much better depends on his ego so we’ll see.
