After using iPhones for the last 4 years or so, I decided to give the Fold a go. It’s been a great experience so far. The software works great and the phone is excellent. It’s hard to go back to a slab phone now. This feels like the next step in phone tech.

My fold 3 is still going strong. No issues with the hunger or cease. A very solid phone. I got it because as I get older my vision isn't what it used to be. But I still love my tech! It's easier to apps on the inside screen and kills at watching shows and reels. I'd have a hard time going back to a slab phone. Only considering the 6 because the battery in my 3 isn't holding the charge as long as it used to. Samsung got these phones right!
I got the fold 5, had it for maybe 18 months now, and I've had no issues at all... until today. Out of nowhere a small black spot at the top of the hinge screen has appeared and it created a very faint line down the hinge screen. It's nothing too bad yet, but will likely develop into a bigger problem down the line. Thankfully I have damage insurance so I can get that sorted no problem. I'd say if you can afford it, get a foldable. I can't see myself going back to a regular phone, the screen is just too good, but that hinge is absolutely a weak spot, so you 100% need to get damage insurance for it.
I traded in my Fold 4 for this one & I don't even care to use it. My 2 major complaints are battery drain and unresponsive main screen. I'm constantly checking my texts because a letter i pressed did not appear on screen. Those were not issues on my Fold 4.

Don't buy it. Based on my personal experience with fold 4 for almost 2 years has been very mixed. Here is Australia it costed 2700$ and the internal screen literally cracked in the middle where the crease is. I am sure there are not many "normal" long term fold 4 users out there and this is not being called out as much. Support has been terrible accusing me of mishandling and abusing the phone.
