I like the feeling of this one better. It has a more somber, almost resentful mood to it. The MS/Akyuu's version sounds too much like Drawn to Life for my tastes. Don't get me wrong, Drawn to Life was a beautiful game, just not fitting music for an evil fallen seraphim, aka the most powerful type of angel and the ones closest to its original Creator.
Forget Konngara, Sariel was the true final boss in Responsive to Prayers for me. Beautiful visuals, 2 phases, 4 sets of attack patterns, and a glorious boss battle theme that tied it all together
There’s speculation that the entirety of Makai route was developed later than the Jigoku route. Hence the higher “production” for its final boss, and such.

I hate how Anex86 emulates the music. For some reason, there's ALWAYS a missing part of any song in any of the PC-98 games when playing through a stage. Not in this one, although percussion is taken away, even from the music room, whereas the other games have their music working properly.

it's actually for a 32 bit pc, since this game runs on a 386 PC-98. it's practically a dos game except the pc 98 had some extra features that made it incompatible with other pcs. it even uses a yamaha fm chip too, but the adlib one was more advanced i think.
