The road hog rework should’ve been bringing back the one shot but he has a new passive called “heart attack” that instantly kills him at any time randomly

Uses it effectively maybe 3 times in the entire video.
He used it to cut off escape paths, he used it as a combo for the hook by placing it in front of himself. And then he placed it around corners like a trap. So yeah he did showcase some uses for it
What if they made TaB give you 50% damage reduction on the first second then tick down to 30% damage reduction?
If they did that then Tapping your heal is a viable strategy
Edit: simply put, less heals more damage reduction.
Since u get less heals if u tap it.
U can easily balance it out, tap is for damage reduction and hold it for heals, while still retaining some form of damage reduction, you are literally taking a breather from the fight every now and then, so fitting to the name aswell.
Ngl I'm kinda happy that i got this idea, not that it would ever be implemented, blizzard don't listen to us, one can imagine tho.

If you put the trap kinda short of where you did the secondary fire at with old hog you can hook them completely through the tripped trap and most of the time they will back all the way back through it trying to create distance. Also you can do the side hook trap in the corner and the slow helps do body block so they can sit and cook
Imagine if hog still had the right click with the new primary fire, I really miss hitting the 1 shots, was one of my fav things about hog
one shot is still possible but only with dmg boost/through bap window

Guys, hogs breather recharge rate doesn't get amped by kitsune. 9:10. It takes the whole 12 sec still

the 1 second cd of using vape again is decreased tho, so you can do something like shoot, heal, shoot, heal much quicker
12 seconds isnt the true cd of his heal, thats just how the resource takes to refill. dvas dm works the same way for kitsune rush so thats not any surprise
I didn't learn how to use Pig Pen after watching this video.
They recently buffed take a breather (30% to 40% dmg reduction, heals more, and heals faster, and recharges faster), and as a hog main I honestly don't mind the changes all that much since I'm having fun and I play corners anyways (where I flick hook them onto pig pen).
the uptime should be about the same, since the duration decreased from 3 - 2.5 seconds but the cooldown decreased. they made it more useful against burst damage which is really nice

how about remove nade from ana and give her an ability that lets her change her rifle to fire either a heal boost dart or an anti heal dart that way anti heal is a skillshot.

I feel like pigpen is kinda useless. Replacing his right click for that is a big loss for the character in both consistent damage and skill expression. He feels so bad without ole reliable
almost 5 minutes of play and I couldn't appreciate the usefulness of pig pen if you use it well but it is not crucial for the gameplay

Dude it took blizzard like a year to give us a hog “rework” and the only thing they really did was give him another slow ability like sojourn, ramatra, JUNKRAT!!! Why did it take so long just to do that? They said they wanted to keep hog basically the same then why the fuck the rework lol. Makes no sense. Now if hog was actually different in some way like maybe a mobility ability or a chainsaw. Anything that would justify a rework. But again they barely did anything. Now ORISA is a perfect example of a rework. Hog got a new trap… … and I know top 500 players and stuff might like it but to the rest us we’re all left like “wtf is this?”
So, you do realize that the old secondary fire is now combined with primary fire, Take a Breather has been reworked entirely from a cooldown ability to a resource, and Pig Pen being its own thing, I would say those things justify as a rework. If you look at is as "Oh all he got was a trap.", then you are just overlooking the other aspects of what got changed with Roadhog.
Orisa was just a complete overhaul, but not every rework is going to be a complete overhaul like Orisa, and that's because her stationary playstyle in OW1 wouldn't fit in faster paced OW2 (and OW1 was way less engaging to play against OW2 Orisa, even though current Orisa is complained about)
They did manage to rework him while still keeping him the same.
Cyx I get what you mean by the primary fire but it is no where close to being a combination of secondary and primary. If they kept the numbers the same and made it to where the 4 big pellets also exploded after a certain range THEN hog would be amazing and all they’d have to do is revert the 30%-50% but my guy you use to average like 20-30k damage a game now you can’t even break 20k. Before roadhog at least had mid range damage now you’re sweating your balls off just to tickle people mid to longe range while the enemy tank is just chilling not even trying. You’re just lucky they didn’t have a zenyatta and a soldier/bastion to go with their sigma
@@6Cyx I realize all of that and I played the new hog a lot and the old one too. I’m just saying they wanted to rework him to address the issues of HOG. The fact that he is no longer an off tank and needed to do more to make up for the fact there is only one tank. The rework did nothing. Literally nothing. You are thee BEST hog player I have ever seen and I know you’ll kill everyone as hog. I get it man I really do. I’m a big fan of yours and the reason I play hog basically. I just wanted to voice my concern as an average Overwatch player. I just thought the rework was going to change him more. Again much respect to you. Best hog player alive easily! Just for fun I think it would be cool if they gave him a mobility ability. Like maybe he jumps on his motorcycle and runs you over or something. That would be sweet!!!!
Because they went through multiple iterations of changes both to abilities he does have, and abilities he doesn't have. In fact, Pig Pen was one of the last things they tried and was the cause of some of the delays before this release. They obviously didn't spend an entire year on just Pig Pen.

Can someone explain to me how Roadhog adds value to a team? Every GM hog gameplay I see follows a similar loop of Hook, miss, feed, get anti’d, die. Hogs damage always looks so underwhelming (that or the player’s aim) and it’s just feed city
Simply put, repositioning, hog can hook into a one shot for a squishy, or you garuantee an important cooldown to be used to save whoever you hooked, you hook a soldier, enemy bap uses lamp, your 6 second cooldown for his 20+lamp.
Or, you hook a tank into your anna, giving her a free anti and a boost to you, leading to the tank dying.
Throwing hooks and missing is fine, you only need 1 to win a teamfight, remember the hook is a stun, and a pull, needless to mention that you have your ult, whole hog, one of the best ults in the game, tank shred, shield shred, knockback, and can easily use it to counter ults, say the Enemy team uses ram ult, you ult him away, say you see a rein, you demolish him, you see a doom, you simply put , for the entire whole hog, either keep him at bay or kill him.
Sometimes you dont need to get a kill, you as a hog can easily cancel ults like sigma by hooking him , even if u dont kill him u stop ult, deny certain heroes from making plays such as , hooking a dva, a ball, a doom , Winston cant do anything to u and so on and so forth.
You put pressure, you make the squishy heroes play away from your view and you make the supports dump their cooldowns on you or the hooked target to not go on a 5v4, hooks is a strong ability, issue is hog can be countered easily, and now ? Some of his Counters got removed, you can heal anytime saving you from orisa stun , you have a longer duration on your heal and if you get anti healed you have a decent time of 30% damage reduction on your breather to get away.

I can deny flanks, increase my damage to tanks if i hook em into it, garuantee one shots on squishy heroes (even through things like overhealth) and even just farm damage overall to get ult again.
Needless to mention the heal now being able to keep u alive through an anna anti (instead of dying 100% of the time now u die 70% of the time) and u know, orisa being way easier to fight.
Overall great rework, needs tunes and its magnificent.

your video doenst matter about pig pen. pig pen sucks, roadhog needed frontline power, you're just a top tier hog especially with hook accuracy thats why you manage to win games, but overall its not effective pick
