@@MhmdBDRD before you get excited and accuse the narrators of being unreliable, first make sure you have a good understanding of the Hadith. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم tells that he feels AS IF his aorta was being cut, not that it's being cut in actuality. It's like how we express ourselves today, "I feel like I've been hit on the head with a club" and such, but less exaggerated.

The death of the prophet ﷺ did not occur suddenly, hence it does not fall under the intention of the verse
    1. The surah is makki, and the prophet ﷺ died almost two decades later.
    2. The poison was given by the Jew in khaybar, 7th year after hijrah
The prophet died in the 11th year after hijrah.
So again, it wasn't a sudden death, nor can you definitively say it was the poison that actually killed the prophet...
Some scholars have said that Allah wanted to grant the prophet the status of martyrdom, hence the pain of the poison resurfaced
The quran says that the jews killed prophets.
Similarly, they tried to kill our prophet ﷺ.
    They tried to poison him.
They managed to kill one sahabi by the poison.
The prophet ﷺ lived for 3 years after the attempted poisoning, and at the time of death he felt as if the pain from the poison resurfaced.
The verse on the other hand implies a sudden death if the prophet lied upon Allah; a seizing by the hand, a sudden cutting of the aorta.
Hence it's clear that the verse of the quran in no way belies the prophethood of muhammad ﷺ

not to mention the verse said if he invented ''SOME'' sayings (baadha al aqawil) ..meaning according to their logic he wasn't lying for the first 99% of the message cause the verse said the punishement will be fast and severe and sudden.. not to mention Allah told the prophet in verse 5;67 to do tabligh of the message and that he will protect him and the protection was limited till he does tabligh of the message which was the case and as soon as the deen was complete (with the verse of completion of the deen) his mission was over..PBUH. according to this guy's argument..God for whatever reason didn't punish him suddenly and waited for him decades until "the damage is done" and he recited that he competed the message.. to take him lol

Exactly. For those studying in the medical field, they would know that if you sever the aorta, you wouldn't even have time to say "I feel as if my aorta is being cut".
Instead, you'd have sudden shortness of breath, altered mental status and rapid loss of consciousness. The person would die immediately. The prophet S.A.W exhibited none of those symptoms.

First of all does anyone know of any poison, a natural poison considering this is the desert of Arabia which has a catalogue of poisonous plants, that has such an extreme physical effect that it severs, again "severs" as in cutting in half, the aorta?

Even if the translation was correct and both meant aorta:
Let's take a language lesson do they realize the difference between these two phrases:
"I ((feel)) my aorta is being c-ut from that po-ison"
"I feel like my leg is c-ut off from the nu-mbness"
      And
"We would have cu-t from him the aorta"
"We would have to c-ut off his leg in su-rgery from the car acci-d-ent"
No still didn't cli-ck maybe they should get ba-ck to school then. Plus do they realize if the aorta is cu-t off how quick dea-th would be maybe other than language lessons go retake biology classes.
Plus another person who was infl-icted with the poi-son di-ed immediatly while the Prophet PBUH didn't and managed to sur-vive for years until finishing his message so their narrative again sha-tters.

What baffles me is that they don't even pick up their bible or at least finished reading past ch 1 of their scripture yet want to argue about Islam and preach.
And they believe in a CORE doctrine the trinity that they neither understand nor can explain but want to talk about logic, maybe they should read their bible first as in 1 corinthians 14:33 "God is not the author of confusion"

He claimed that the verse in the Quran wouldn’t be meant in a literal sense. And that’s a dishonest presumption and very common for the people of innovation (either from the Muslims or all Christians and Jews).
The Arabic language is taken in a liters sense except there are indications in earlier Arabic sources that an expression is not to be taken literally or could be taken metaphorically. But the standard position is to take the statement literally.

I have studied Arabic for 8 years and English for 14 years.
I would like to mention that most of the translations aren't accurate.
Most of them are because of the fact that there aren't many words in English that conveys the full meaning of the words in Arabic.
But...a few of them are because of the interpreters themselves who use the wrong words and there are other words which are better to use.

  • @anonanon4686
    @anonanon4686 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Let me wrap up this real quick:
    - The surah from which the christian apologist quoted that verse was revealed around 5 BH (before hijra).
    - the words used in the surah, for anyone who understands the ways of Arabic, mean that the execution of that punishment would have been quick and swift. Because as you cut that major vein, the animal dies immediately.
    - now the prophet upon whom be peace ate that poison from that woman 3 years before his death.
    - between those two times, ie between the revelation of surat Al Haqq'a and the poison incident, most of the Quran was revealed with the most dense verses of legislation. So the probability for lying would have been highest during that time.
    - the prophet upon whom be peace, by saying that, he just disproves the whole point, because if he was a liar, why would he mention that?
    - the best thing these apologists can argue against is that the prophet WAS a true prophet but then changed. But the only fact that he survived with that poison for three years and some of his companions died then and there proves that the verse didn't apply to him, because again the verse was talking about an immediate swift death, similar to severing the aorta.
Other points I may have missed. But that's the general gist of it.

I am a Bengali. So, we have this word 'যন্ত্রপাতি' (Jontropati) which we use for both Heavy Machineries and Light Tools (Like Hammer and such).
Thing is, Heavy machineries and Tools are very different things, yet, we use the same word. It's not weird. This is a such case. The English language didn't have that word, so both are expressed as aorta. Very simple.
I am saying this because christians will probably get frustrated at this point and say something like, "you moslems are making excuses!". No matter how much you cope, a valid explanation is a valid explanation.

First of all, there is inherent negation in the ayahs he is mentioning. It's like "If you had stolen the money I would have punished you". This means subject didn't stole the money. Secondly, ayahs are revealed in Makkah, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was poisoned in 7th years after the hijra during battle of Khyaber and Allah punished Prophet Muhammad 3 years after that. What a logic!

  • @radvayuksel6545
    @radvayuksel6545 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    In the field of rhetoric:
The phrase "لأخذنا منه بالوتين" (We would have seized him by the right) in the context of Arabic rhetoric uses the "ل" followed by "ب" (لام followed by باء) to imply immediate action. It suggests that God would have punished him instantly, right then and there, which contradicts the false claim that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) lived for years after the revelation of this verse and then passed away. The meaning here is that if the Prophet had falsely attributed something to God, He would have swiftly inflicted His punishment. The phrase "لأخذنا باليمين" (We would have seized him by the right hand) implies seizing with power and force and punishment . But where in history do we find that ALLAH seized the Prophet with power and force? Where is this punishment?
Secondly, regarding the aorta and the wateen:
They are not the same word. According to "Al-Mu'jam Al-Waseet" (2/1010), the aorta (الابهر) is a vein, while the wateen (الوتين) is the main artery that exits the heart and supplies blood to the body. This distinction itself is a scientific miracle in the Quran and Sunnah. How could the illiterate Prophet, who could neither read nor write, know the difference between an artery and a vein? and we know in medicine the cut in the artery will kill fastly than the vein choosing the word alwateen is an indicator of a scientific miracle in fact This clearly indicates that these words are not from Muhammad but from God, proving the authenticity of the Quran and that it is indeed from the All-Knowing, the Wise.
Thirdly, the incident of the poisoned sheep:
When Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ate the poisoned meat, a companion, Bishr ibn al-Baraa, ate with him and died immediately. Why didn't Muhammad die along with him?
    Lastly, in Arabic language usage:
The phrase "انقطع ابهري" (My aorta has been cut) is a metaphorical expression meaning "I feel that I am going to die." It does not necessarily imply the literal meaning. The evidence for this can be found in the poetry of King Ibn Idris, where he says: "ويكاد من يرقي اليه مره يشكو انقطاع الابهر" (And one who ascends to him once almost complains of the severance of the aorta), implying imminent death.

    1. Allah has commanded the Prophet ﷺ to convey the message and Allah promised to protect him in doing so i.e until it's completion. "O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allāh will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allāh does not guide the disbelieving people." (5:67)
    2. Allah indeed saved the Prophet from dying before the completion of Islam. While Al-Barra R.A died immediately after being poisoned at the same time. The poison normally should've cut the "al-wateen" (immediate death) not "al-abhar" which mean it was not affected as it should which also directly destroy the argument.
    3. The prophet ﷺ did not die before the completion of Quran. Therefore, the "aorta" argument is baseless.
In conclusion, fear Allah. The Quran is a true reminder. Those who are disbelief will be in hellfire. May Allah guide us and have mercy upon us to be entered His paradise without reckoning.

And then saying according to the hadeth that the prophet died as in the way of punishment as in the Quran. Doesn't that mean that the Quran said the Truth. And as such if the Quran is true then the prophet Muhammad wasn't a false prophet.

    His arguments is self defeating.
    1. The Prophet never had his aorta cut. This alone should suffice as evidence.
    2. One is not able to talk if the aorta is being cut or been cut. Let alone live.
    3. The religion of Islam were finalized and perfected a while before the Prophets death (sura maidah verse 3). The Prophet lived to finalize the holy Quran and Islam.
    4. Cutting the aorta is an instant death. The Prophet didnt have an instant death.
    5. Cutting the aorta occurs immediately after an false revelation. Not waiting days, weeks or months and then God would suddenly decide to cut his aorta.
    6. The verse talks in past terms, not future.
    7. The verse before (69:43) and a few verses after (69:51) clearly says that the Quran is the absolute truth, a revelation from God. So the verses before and after is debunking their claims.
    8. As Daniel pointed out, there are two different words used in the Quran and hadiths.

For simplicity, take the verses as "if he lied, his aorta would be cut."
The contrapositive, which holds the same truth value, would be, "if his aorta did not get cut, he didn't lie."

I had the same argument with one of christian on FB I simply asked do you really think that Quran is the word of the Almighty, if yes then read Quran 5: 3 where Allah said that he has completed his religion on Muhammad PBUH and he is complied with him and his companions. Arguments ended.
