The tomb's design is attributed to the Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, and it's considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal due to its Indo-Islamic architecture. The tomb stands within a large Charbagh (four-quartered) garden, divided by walkways and water channels. It's constructed primarily of red sandstone with white marble embellishments, including intricate lattice work and geometric patterns. The tomb itself is raised on a high platform and topped with a double dome, making it a striking example of Mughal architecture.
