I used to live a few blocks from here. We had a family pass, and they keep the AC nice and cool all summer, so my son learned how to walk there.. Every time we went i saw something different.
What a great and informative video!! I had no idea they made motor homes that far back either...really cool! Thank you for always bringing us such wonderful and informative videos. It is much enjoyed and appreciated! Hope you have a great weekend and God bless!
There were multiple "K.i.T.T.s made for "Knight Rider". If seen several at Universal Hollywood as well as multiple "Back To The Future" De Loreans . One of each is in death row that you can see on the tram tour. Wow! You walked past the "Christine" Plymouth. There were only 5 genuine "Batmobiles" built by George Barris for the show. #1, a lead-sled, was built from the 1955 Lincoln Futura show car. The rest were fiberglass made from molds of "Batmobile" #1. George Barris told me himself at a SEMA show. In a video made of George Barris Kustoms back yard, there were 2 or 3 uncompleted Batmobile fiberglass shells stacked up against the fence. On the Barris copies, after the show ended, Barris put blue Ford oval emblems at the bottom front fenders, just behind the wheels. Just like the K.I.T.T. cars, each Batmobile was made for a certain kind of stunt. So many "Herbie's" were made, again for special stunts. Now, an easy way to tell if a car was actually used in a show, at most the paint will be semi-gloss but usually a flat color finish. If the finish would be glossy, it would reflect everything like the crew standing around, cameras and lighting. Many of the original cars were repainted with high gloss paint when they were turned into show cars. Real competition dragsters often used hemi-head engines with dual spark plugs.
Aj palmgren of des moines owns one screen used KITT and Joe huth owns two screen used ones. Including the one you described that's on display somewhere. I built a KITT years ago but didn't do the interior. I passed Aj in his car on the highway south of des moines one day.
Car museums get the vehicles either through very private auctions were there donated temporary some were just tracked down by the company that built them and bought you can track down some of them companies and talk them into letting you into their storage garages you'd find a lot of movie Cars. One of the production KITT's is in private hand and restored,a lot of interior "technology " did not really work on the owners restored it was made to work. There is a TH-cam video on it in here somewhere. That's a Hot Wheels car I think that copter was from the 2nd MAD Max film.
excellent tour. only thing l didnt like was the Poster for the Blues Brothers Car. its a 1974 Dodge Monaco. NOT MONCAO. l hate typos. been in the print business for 45 yrs. i can see small ones but on a poster in large type. come on
Knight Rider historians have at least two of the original K.I.T.T cars they also have the semi truck and trailer from the shpw that are currently being restored
U R @ the museum and your question was you don’t know how they obtain these cars? All you need to do is walk up and ask any employee, and they all know the answer the question simple.!
He can not show all cars. Guess what you told he ignored what you want to see and the next told ignore this. How you imagine can show all? Even you can not show the whole collection
You're right about that I think he owns one of the original screen used cars and then the truck and the trailer now that kit was hauled in they're being restored
I dont know where you live brother but im from okc oklahoma and all this cars yes some are rare and hard to see on the road but theres even t models on these roads may not see them everyday but they still cruising on the road when they do is history on wheels love lowriders but i know bout classic cars except movie car iconns lol 😂but christine come on !?!?!?
@@rodneyhopper22 hey hater shut you mouth and think some people type on phones and the phone screws up spelling at times and I don't appreciate your attitude
WHAT,you walked past Christine without paying her any attention? She won't like that so don't walk down any dark streets! Just kidding, but I live in a small town in the UK and just lately I was walking down a street in a small village near me and suddenly a replica "Christine Fury" drove slowly past and before I could get a better view the driver sped away.I was gutted that a could'nt get a better view or actually touch her.
But i must say im just not buying that these are all authentic set vehicles... Like you said you see the same thing in car museums all over the country and i doubt they are breaking any laws by putting a piece of paper that claims that they are the real deal...
That chevrolet sedan delivery van was scraped in America 🇺🇸 altogether there and then general motors Holden in Australia 🇦🇺 here took over the concept of all the rights to get the blue print of chevrolet sedan delivery and Australian Holden plant decided to convert the chevrolet sedan delivery into the shaggin wagon's aka sandman panel vans in Australia 🇦🇺
The 1966 Batmobile!
My favorite!
The Muzak in the background, Supertramp's "Breakfast in America" while touring the used- car- lot section was RIGHT ON TIME!👍

Knight Rider historians own one. And it is in the pederson museum. It's the one that's racing towards the camera when the show is coming on.

Knight Rider Historian also owns the tractor trailer used in the series and is restoring that as well

The strange looking car next to the pink Barbie Caddie is from the movie MASK 2
The delorean is a replica for sure. They made 5, the A car is at the Peterson museum in LA, others were cut up or destroyed (BTTF1)

There's one car you missed the Plymouth. Fury from Stephen King's Christine.
I’ll have to go back, looks like I missed a few. 😂
You say in the opening statement that this museum is in Chicago, but is actually over an hours drive from O’Hare Airport and the city of Chicago 🤔
The carzy blue car is from "the son of the mask".
Thanks Richard. I was curious about that!
Dodge Moncao? :D
The movie car that you thought was the mask. That car is from Son Of The Mask
And You'll be too young to know about Liberace'! That's why the Piano Car!
Looks like the car from mask 2
I think that’s from the hot wheels that George Barris made
Sun of the mask

It’s a wonderful place!
Looks like it.
Thank you for sharing.
The national lampoon family truckster had the gas filler on the passenger side front fender it wasn't located on the driver's side rear !
You made a very bad mistake in there mate. You walked past and ignored, therefore upsetting Christine. Don’t you know that nobody upsets Christine?
Good catch Andy and guess what i missed Christine too 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲

Were you afraid of Christine?? You walked right past the car! I would've liked to have seen it!!! Major dislike!!!
WHAT,you walked past Christine without paying her any attention? She won't like that so don't walk down any dark streets! Dodge Moncao - seriously? Somebody needs to be checking their spelling when they make these signs.
But i must say im just not buying that these are all authentic set vehicles... Like you said you see the same thing in car museums all over the country and i doubt they are breaking any laws by putting a piece of paper that claims that they are the real deal...
Some cars say they are the real deal and others really don’t specify. I would assume the ones that don’t specify are either one of many or replicas.
That was son of the mask and sadly all the original kitt cars were
If i were you, I'd get right back up there and give Christine her due. It's not good for our health to ignore her.
I may have to do that!
Son of the mask
S a hot tode
Son of mask
What no Mopar muscle cars. Who cares about some of cars you showed.
