Awesome video! Looks like a great remake! Really wish it had come out in the UK, and been multi format! Seems like a lot of effort went into it, for it to just be locked to one region and system! I would love to lay the first two with the grinding and manual bar (I hate that you just have to guess in the first two games!)
Thanks! It is awesome and it gives the upcoming remake a lot to live up to! It's so weird how it's only available in America, it makes it really inaccessible for so many people which is super annoying because at the moment it's the best version of the game. Haha, yeah it does take some getting used to not having the balance bars! It's strange because THPS 2 had a manual balance bar but not a grind balance bar... Makes me think that they intended on having a balance bar for grinds at some point but it didn't make it into the final game!
By the way, the X in 2X stands for piXel Pursuit. Great video as always! This game is interesting to me, although the way they handled the non-THPS2 levels is pretty unfortunate. Regardless, I really enjoyed this video. :D

This one is 60fps, X360 got 10-30fps) Rayman 3 Voodoo Vince Kao the Kangaroo 2 (personal childhood nostalgia) Splinter Cell 1-4 Prince of Persia 1-3 Max Payne 1&2 (the quicksave feature is a godsend) Broken Sword 3
That's some good recommendations! I've played some of those on PS2 already but one of the main ones I never got the chance to play there is Voodoo Vince. The original Xbox had a few 3D platformers that I never played actually, another one is Blinx the Timesweeper, I should give that a go one day! I actually played the Xbox 360 version of Tomb Raider Legend, I had no idea the original Xbox version was better!
@@PixelPursuit Yeah, I think they just went overboard with "next-gen" textures and graphical effects in the X360 version of Tomb Raider Legend. So overboard, the game couldn't even maintain stable 30fps with a lock. But here's a fun fact - TR Legend is one of the few, rare X360 games with a native 480p mode. Usually if the 480p resolution is enabled in the console's menu, games downscale from their native resolution to 480p, meaning the lower resolution has absolutely no impact on the game's frame rate. However, in Tomb Raider Legend, it does. So the game's frame rate is much more stable in 480p mode. Another X360 game that can take advantage of that (that I know of) is Quake 4. Very bad frame rate in 720p, way better in 480p. But yeah, the OG Xbox version of TR Legend is better because it's 60fps and pretty darn stable 60fps, to boot. And I'm honestly not that much of a fan of the "next-gen" graphics in Legend. They're just so glossy. Advanced yet simple. Sort of remind me of Perfect Dark Zero.

It's absolutely insane that this didn't have a European release. It feels like hardly anybody even knows it exists over here and it's one of the best ways of playing the original two games!
Yeah it’s actually quite a lot better! It has better graphics, a better frame rate, all of the levels from Pro Skater 1 as well, more people can play the multiplayer modes and way more! It’s basically the definitive version of the game right now! Who knows if the new remake that comes out on September 4th will be even better though!
Kinda makes me wonder what an episode of Remake Or Rebreak would be like if ExoParadigmGamer did an episode of this game & the other versions.

I actually loved the club level in THPS 2x. I love getting crazy air where the huge QP speakers are and managed to get some decent combos as well.

Yeah that's true! By saying it's exclusive to America, I meant it's exclusive to NTSC regions. I often make that mistake to be honest!
NTSC/J is its own region (Japan).
Anyways, I call NTSC-U/C just NTSC/U because I'm used to it, even though it's technically incorrect.
