What’s the movie about?
After winning the championship, Daniel (Ralph Macchio) continues his training with his mentor. When Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) receives the news that his father is dying he decides to go back to Japan, and Daniel (Ralph Macchio) follows him there.

@@guts-141 in every flashback Johnny has of this, it cuts off... he may have passed out. Johnny gasps for air as he falls limply to the pavement, seemingly in a dead faint.
Johnny’s buddies would have told him, but this is probably Johnny’s most traumatic childhood memory. He lost his mom, and had to become self sufficient and independent as on only child ... John Kreese became his beloved father figure. This betrayal probably hurt him more than anything.
When Johnny had the rear naked choke firmly locked on Kreese he didn’t have the heart to end Kreese’s life. He wanted to trust Kreese again.
I think in Johnny’s second fight with Kreese (after he finds out about what Robby did and that Kreese orchestrated the attack), he won’t be dominated by Kreese. I believe Kreese will find himself in an interesting position.. Kreese’s students will have to stop Johnny from killing him.... and that could very well open Johnny’s mind to fully understand and appreciate Miyagi’s saving his life.
It was in like the first episode, without Miyagi saving him. And the Kreese gave him back the trophy from the tournament, fixed. This moment has been seen and mentioned multiple times.

Well in all fairness the actor that played Dutch wasn’t there for the second movie. It was just some random guy with a wig on had his back turned so the camera wouldn’t see him.
It looks like Dutch doesn't care if Johnny gets hurt. Turns his back when Kreese is choking Johnny. Then after Kreese goes down, Johnny's other buddies are there close to him, but no sign of Dutch anywhere

Something I just realised is that in Cobra Kai, while Kreese constantly mocks Miyagi, Johnny not only refuses to but also looks incredibly uncomfortable and angry when Kreese does it.

Mr. Miyagi is and was one of the most powerful and badass fighters ever he is still with us no matter what

I love how Mr. Miyagi quotes the teachings of Kreese back to him, letting him know what it's like to be on the receiving end of no mercy before ultimately showing mercy. He didn't need to kill or cripple him, just let him experience that moment of fear.
On the second part, I'm not personally a big fan of how Cobra Kai decided to spin the breakup of Ali and Daniel and make it ENTIRELY Daniel's fault. They could've made it more ambiguous or grey, but instead they opted to make Daniel seem like he was entirely in the wrong and only jumped to conclusions about both the car and the College guy. It can make sense in a way, just not a fan of how it was done.
I actually don't mind that they did that. It still fits with Daniel's character who's hot headed and whenever he loses focus, he just jumps to conclusions. Also, Ali even admits that she was purposely getting him upset. So I think there's some blame to be put on her as well.
When Ali came back in Cobra Kai she tried to get intimate with Johnny, not Daniel. That speaks volumes for me. I think Johnny had it right; they hadn't broke up, they just had a fight, and then Daniel came to town, and maybe she was trying to get over Johnny or maybe trying to get him jealous, idk, she may be a lil toth also. Thing is, I don't think Johnny was such a bad guy after all.

Johnny was the bully in Karate Kid because let's face it, tho Daniel got in the middle of personal matters between Johnny and Ali, Daniel tried to be nice and Johnny physically assaulted him, there's no debate, that's no civilized way to tell someone to mind their own business. And let's not forget when he and his group made him fall down a hill, that was no accident nor retribution.
Now in cobra kai, Daniel, in a position of power and wealth, becomes obsessed with Johnny reopening Cobra Kai and will not let go of his past despite Johnny's clear efforts for seeking redemption (and thus forgetting Miyagi's most valuable lesson: forgiveness) to the point of using his wealth to switch the tables and become the bully in his own way, by trying everything at his disposal to overshadow and bring down Johnny's reformed Cobra Kai.
Seriously when will Johnny ever say he’s grateful that Mr. Miyagi saved his life in cobra kai?
Such an awesome movie. Loved it more than the first. Btw, I remember reading many film critics saying that Morita he was even more deserving of an Oscar nod for his second turn as Miyagi. I absolutely agree.

I feel so bad for Johnny. He literally didn't do ANYTHING wrong. He didn't deserve this abuse from Kresse.
This was honestly one of the best scenes of The Karate Kid
just remember what he did to that log 2 save Sato.. he could have killed him so easy...but from the moment the hand goes to Kreese face and not his neck.. it was obvious he wasnt planning to hurt him
