3:00 about the firerate change, I believe that it is just a cap, so if you don't have any firerate items you can be decreased by 50%, but if you have 20% firerate from items, you will be reduced by 70% max

Hell yeah, been having a blast with PoE 2. I think sharpshooter will be interesting for Paradox, at a top level she's mostly played as a utility character, but in more casual games you can definitely go crazy with her cabine. I ran a viscous punch build about three patches ago; maxing ability range and cdr on the punch is super easy, and with the new spirit punch item and heavy melee synergies i’m super excited to run it back
The McGinnis change is basically nothing tbh. They have more health but you can't heal them as well, they shoot slower but last longer so increased number of shots if they're around for the minimum time but decreased number of shots if they stick around for another few seconds. Nerf to objective dmg I guess but turrets weren't a massive part of that anyway
It makes them a lot less annoying to play against. You don't have to continuously shoot them for their entire uptime while they're getting healed in order for them to die. You can just put them in a dying state and do other things while they're dying
On the lash ult T3 changes, it synergizes incredibly well with the Silence changes, as your ult groups everyone caught in it together, so you can shoot silence down during the stun right before you slam. I've also been enjoying a silly combo of tossing alch fire right before I ult and toss them into the alch fire as well
8:54 OMG I love when abilities can interact with each other like that. It gives players so much for skill expression and Vain Glory had that when the game was popular
I hate the nerfs to duration, range, and some melees. Every patch they seem to push further and further from allowing gimmick builds like massive aoes or long lasting attacks and keep pushing the game to just be a stat stick simulator where it's only viable to just stack damage buffs and that's it. Really sucks that they're doing this.
the leavers were just a secondary issue that subordinates to the bigger problem: the bad matchmaking. I am at mid-phantom rank, and most of my games I played last 2 weeks were so disgustingly broken. It were like archon/oracle/phantom/ascendent players all matched up in a same lobby but the game still says 'hey it's still an average phantom match so go ahead'😅 Hope the comp.mode would help with the better matchmaking.
1:41 apparently this setting seems to only affect your teammates. Yesterday I played a few rounds with a friend and we had the option turned off, our team as expected was all quiet. We expected to get a few chill games since it was late at night. But we got completely stomped by the enemy team, they communicated perfectly, after the game I asked them if they are a full stack or something along those lines, since their teamwork was on point. They said all they did was turn on the communication option. Now obviously they could have lied or maybe this is a quirk of a 3AM queue, but if it turns out that it does only affect your teammates, then it would significantly reduce match quality for players who keep the option off and those who don't even realize it's there.

The REAL reason that DL has a leaver epidemic is not the match maker, it's the fact that they removed all the comeback mechanics. Now the game is decided in the lane phase because the team that comes out ahead at min 10 will most likely win, and so the people on the losing team don't want to spend the next 20-40 min slowly losing and so they leave. This also makes the game considerably less fun to spectate because the fact that the behind team could pull of a big play and come back was what made it fun to keep watching until the end. Now you can tell who's gonna win way in advance.
Yeah this is just untrue, the urn is a very considerable comeback mechanic and winning team fights when you're down 20k souls is possible if you get a pick. If you're down considerably and win 1 fight you're mostly back in the game. Comeback mechanics are fairly strong ATM and unless you win lane by a ton you're by no means guaranteed to win the game.

IMO hero kills should only give as many souls as a creep kill because you're already setting them back by denying them farm while making space for yourself. Only time hero kills should be worth a lot is if the one you kill had a notable lead on you, or was on a kill streak. You know, like how Dota works. Also the respawn timers need to be tied to level and not game time. Again, this is how Dota works. They are literally sitting with the answer sheet in hand from a game that's effectively been playtested for 2 decades if you count WC 3 dota, and they aren't using it.
Are you sure Metal Skin was buffed? From what I understood (haven't tested tho), active works like Slowing Hex by reducing your dash speed. Edit: Yes it does. So it's more like a rebalance, rather than a buff tbh

What do people think about the order to upgrade geist now? Always get 1 point in malice for cooldown, then max bomb for farming. Then normally get a point in ult dor cooldown and go max malice for more amp and hits with 6 shards. Then its between maxing ult for silence or tether for lifedrain. For me I think its lifedrain first with the new charges as there are other ways to silence and silence dosnt have a big an impact as geist staying alive to stack spirit resist.
Reducing Ivy’s melee damage and growth by 15% murders my favorite build. It’s not the most competitive but it was really fun and let her frontline pretty well. Really confused about why that nerf was made. Must’ve beaten the brakes off of too many people.
honestly, i'm pretty satisfied with this patch so far. reworks to legend abilities and cooldown nerfs make the game feel a lot more dynamic now. i'm also really liking that more items build out of one another it makes itemization feel much less restricting. lots of good changes this patch, both big and small. the matchmaking also seems better, but i can't say for sure yet. overall, i think this patch has fixed a lot of issues i had with the game last cycle, and i can see myself playing a lot more of it for the next two weeks.

It feels like they want you to use her as a team brawler now more than a backline assassin which is how I really enjoyed playing her. Now I feel like you ult them and have to choose to either parry them (since you're within melee range/close to it), or they can get away pretty easily. Curious if others have had the same difficulty or if we should just be looking to play her differently from here on.

I used mirage to bring an abrams to 100 max health at 5 minutes, scaling falls of quick but being able to basically 1 shot an abrams is hilarious
