      Is there any advice on setting the up or downward angle of the back bar?

    • @jonathan_guerrero
      @jonathan_guerrero ปีที่แล้ว

      @@25kepy I saw a video about a pro Archer that lifted the rear bar upward to reduce wait and it worked for her. I tried it for myself and I was able to remove 2 ounces and the bow ended up balancing just as well. I know you posted this a year ago lol but I hope you still find it useful

    If you aren’t gripping the bow, it should tip forward after the shot.
    The force of accelerating the arrow is above the fulcrum of the grip. So the bow will want to tip back while accelerating the arrow.
    A front heavy bow counters that during the shot.
    The more mass and the further from the fulcrum of the grip, the less forward bias you will need.
    Another option for tuning weight, you can tip the back bar down to “shorten” it.

    Great info guys. Bubble direction at the end was backwards but that’s just because bubble direction is confusing. Move your Stab in the direction of the bubble…is the easiest way to think about it.

    Excellent video. This is a unique (to me) method - balancing based on bow movement after the shot. I adjusted my stabilizers based on pin movement while aiming - pin dropping out of the bull = more back weight. Thank you again for great content.

    Definitely, a good place to start where you ended up. I would have taken off his stand first. I don't think he is going to hunt with that on there. There is a more technical way to finish off what you accomplished so far. You should try putting a Mantis on that and run several 6-8 shot steadiness score sessions, make some small adjustments and see what you can learn about how much tighter the aiming pattern is once hit the right spot after several 6-8 shot sessions and small adjustments one way or the other. Most people I set up can't believe there is usually more left pressure than they thought they should have to end up with 95%-97% steadiness scores consistently. It's funny how when we start where they thought they had them set the best. The scores are ranging from 83%- 93% over 6-8 shots. When we get done the spread is usually within 2%-3% differences in most of their shots. Along with looking at the images of the sessions from start to finish. The Mantis shows you a target with a pattern of how you drew the bow and how you came to the target and how wide your hold was, it shows your movement and even where you went after the shot. Generally when we start the holding pattern is fairly wide, when we get done we can see how much it has tightened. Great video, that should help some people get on track, you have a really good way of going about what you did there. Not everyone wants to spend 300 Bucks on a Mantis. With the Mantis, you can even play each shot as a video and watch the whole line get drawn on the target from the draw, all the way to after the shot. I learned from it that I drew to the left and came to the target from the left. I was able to correct that by blind bailing, now I draw the bow fairly in line with the target and start a bit on the high side. If you get a chance, give it a try and let me know what you think. If it's worth it, do a stabilizer set up 2.0 video on it. I have two people scheduled for Mantis sessions here real soon at my little bow shop. I will start out by having them shoot some groups after warming up a little at say 40-yards. I will mark all their shots with old vanes I cut off when reflecting arrows. We will do all the Mantis work at 20-yards. Before they leave I have them go back to 40-yards and shoot another group.

I really want to add a back bar to my setup, but because I do not live close to a good bow shop, I cannot try out several configurations (without buying multiple). While it will be easy to add and remove weight, I really have no clue what lengths to go with, so any advice/recommendations are appreciated
