Don't worry I also wasted a lot of oil paint, then acrylic but in my last try I think I got the skin tone right. Red, yellow and white worked for me with little bit blue (just a tiny bit) for darker shades.

Do you gesso your paper? It looked like cold pressed. I would love to go back to acrylics and oils but I have no room so I stay with charcoal, watercolor and graphite. My first acrylic was a portrait uh 35 years ago. Lovely painting.

Your practice will lead to your GOAL one day. You'll develop your style naturally over time. I think with practice will help you more than just having a natural talent. Just keep painting. Sir ,why my brushes r damaged too quickly...yes of course I clean them with water and turpentine oil .....am just a beginner ...and why my painting have too much brush strokes visible..to avoid brush strokes what to use...plz.. thanks
Don't let your paint dry on your brush. Clean them in between works is a good idea. Sometimes brush marks looks good in the painting. But if you don't want them, blend with a softer brush later with little water. Thank you so much for your comment 🙏😊

As acrylic dries so quickly, it already dries up before I add the subsequent layers.

While painting on paper with acrylic do you gesso the paper or use acrylic directly.
Not necessary if you are using a proper acrylic paper. I suggest to use a 300 gsm or higher quality acrylic paper for good results. Thank you
