It shouldn't be legal to rebuild if a property has been flooded or severely damaged by storm several times. It's just going to get more extreme and frequent going forward
My husband refuses to move to Florida despite having lots of family there as he says in 30 years or less, parts of Florida will be under water with sea level rises
I am familiar with the whole area, the beaches are all intact, in fact more sand then ever, wide beaches. The beaches will be fine. You will be surpirised in 2 weeks, beaches will be loaded with people. Siesta Key, to St Pete Beach.
@@heavencantwait1218 Clearwater beach, beach itself looks great, was just there today, football field wide of sand, so much width , more width then I have ever seen it. Atlantic ocean level is deep, washes away sand. Gulf most times , being so low, actually brings in more sand.
Pitch black,no power, waves crashing over rising water, like the open Gulf of Mexico. That's what "Riding it out' turned into, for lot of people. Some drown in this storm, bodies not found Some trapped in attics, up north, in very remote areas,or,swept out to sea. Do Not Ride it Out....🌊🌀🌊🌊🌊
@@Bubba-wx7lp I would never ride it out. My house has wheels with full propane, water supply, battery and generator. I’d be outta there in a New York Minute with a route planned to take me well outta the Zone! 👍🏼
I live about 5 miles from Anna Maria Island, it was very bad I don’t know if they are letting non residents out on the island, it was a bad storm surge that’s for sure.

That’s what we used to think about Daytona Beach until all the hurricanes have taken it away despite all the restorations that have been done to save

Omg, so sad!! Some of my favorite stores and restaurants! 😢
Let’s hope they recover soon
I cannot imagine how terrifying it would be to ride it out in or around any of those areas. Violent weather and I simply do not get along.

I'm sure the businesses will recover, they'll be charging $30 for a plate of spaghetti and $20 for a hot dog in no time.
