It's really nice to see the care you put into this fantastic 4th gen. I love my '08 V8 but after watching this, I really ought to step it up a bit. Yours looks stunning....you've motivated me to do more!
Beautiful. Went from road used to parked at home clean again. I just caught up to your videos as I was searching information about Ceramic Coating. You site led me here.. Now, if we could just figure out how to keep those dang license plate bolt/screws from showing rust..
I’ve been detailing vehicles for years love it & you did a pretty good job!! Only thing I would recommend is really giving that undercarriage a nice cleaning due to all the dirt & everything else it collects, you definitely aren’t looking to invite rust! What I did when I had my Jeep was get an undercarriage cleaner to connect right up to my power washer/pressure washer & soak that entire undercarriage up in water,I even went as far as giving the undercarriage a bit of an undercoating just to help out a bit !Nothing crazy but just little tips if you want to keep this thing running at its top best & looking at its top best!(Even though know one really is going to be climbing under you’re car unless there’s a problem haha)
« That feeling of having contact with the wheel »… WoW, my sentiment exactly when working on my ´06, swapping calipers, installing Bilsteins, removing XReas legacy components, compounding ….. Man you gotta love working on these trucks (more fun than working on my vintage Porsche Boxster S!)
I have been fighting the urge to buy a ladder but I'm 6'4" and my 4Runner is stock height and I still need the extra inches to get to the roof. Lol... It's weird as a tall guy. I don't typically need a ladder in real life. Lol... Love this video! Have you tried Turtle Wax flex wax as a drying aide?
I’m not sure if you’ve ever stated anything about this, but when you first purchased this vehicle was there any factory parts that you replaced exterior or interior?
@@CanadianGearhead well your 4Runner is absolutely perfect and I’m trying to take some of your aftermarket options and put them on my 03. And I love your content as well it’s all very informative and interesting to watch so thank you.
Hey man quick question. I ordered the gibson catback exhaust for this same car. Is it pretty easy to install yourself? Also without the headers installed yet will i still noticed some gains? I have 140k miles right now with no sings of headers going out.
It's pretty easy to install, no welding required. The factory exhaust is actually fairly efficient so you might not feel much of a difference. The sound is a big upgrade though
@@CanadianGearhead oh I read this cat back exhaust can increase hp and torque a little bit. e.g 15-20hp but all in all doesn’t it help engine breathe better?
@@CanadianGearhead do you think I'd need to replace to hatch latch and motor assembly or do you know if there is like a power door lock actuator in there

Thanks for watching, Scott!
I second this!! So satisfying to watch. Time to step up my cleaning game!!
Spiral wash...totally agree! Drives me crazy to see people go top to bottom.
Truck looks great!
Thanks for watching!

I have this one professionally oil sprayed to prevent rust so it's better to leave it alone
Здравствуйте, смотрю Ваш канал, отличный автомобиль, замечательно выглядит! Сам хочу такой же!
Mad props for climbing up that latter with some slides on 👏🏼
I live dangerously 😆

I've never been a big fan of Turtle Wax products although it sounds like they've really stepped their game up in recent years
hey one favor!!! can you please link the bug deflector for the hood!!!! i looooove that sleek look!!!
It's a Toyota one, apparently it's hard to find in the States
I just use a different mit on the bottom parts of the vehicle
Everything looks good. Except that frame. Time to get to, Houghton's and get that underside taken care of!
It's going this week!
@@CanadianGearhead What is Houghton's? I'm assuming this is referring to rust removal/undercoating, and or both? Would like to an upload on that.
What color is your car exactly
Shadow Grey

Not really, it was mostly aftermarket upgrades right from the beginning

Do you know if the remote is supposed to unlock the back tailgate door? Mine isn't and I'm wondering if it's supposed to be that way.
It should unlock everything, you might have a problem with your hatch
@@CanadianGearhead thank you!!

can you link the pressure washer upgrade you talked about
It's in the description, just select the basic package
