I don't know if they're rare, but I just picked one up today for $195. It's identical to the one in this video. It starts, runs (a little rough at first) and mows. Saw it on my local face blab market place. I wanted it because it's the same as the very first mower I remember my dad bringing home back in the late 70's. It's the first mower of any kind that I learned how to use. I didn't need another mower, but I had to have it for that asking price. Tomorrow, I'll get it cleaned up, gas tank drained, carb cleaned, oil changed, blade sharpened, and maybe order new tires for it.
@@ineeddollarsDo you still have your 8/30 Murray? How do you like it? I serviced mine and keep it inside the barn with my other vintage lawn tractors and mowers. I was thinking about getting it out today and mow a little bit with it. The shifter is pretty hard to move, almost to the point of bending the shifter handle. I'll have to investigate and lube the linkage.
@@SPCLPONY hi yes I use it twice a month, my gear lever seized up ,I lubed it on the gearbox an tapped it with hammer , WD40 & oil ,all good now. Yes I like the simplicity of it , good little ride on mower ,
This mower brings so many good memories back 😢😢😢
memories? I'm still running my dad's 🤣
I've got a mower so close to this. I think mine is just a little new like, a late 90s
Looks great mate
Thanks!
Cool video, I rode over my phone too, great effect
Cheers Steve 👍
Great job.
Looks nice!
Thanks! I hope you enjoyed my videos 🤞
I have a 1995murray with a 16 hp briggs and stratton opposed twin engine 750cc
It looks like its faster than normal did you do something to it
How do you shift it? Mine only allows revers and 1
Push it down slightly and slide it all the way forward. It might have siezed up though so you could try to loosen it or take it apart and have a look
@@leoburnell7799 I lubed it. Figured it out. Thanx
good video you must have done some running round on this one
Aha yeah, there was a lot of chasing the mower around😂
Are these mowers rare?
