      Yes, it looks a tidy bit of kit but I'd have been happy with the old one if it wasn't for the couple of issues I've got with it. The Wera certainly works well as I have been using it over the weekend. Thanks for watching 👍🏽👍🏽

      Hi Mark, it works better than the genuine tool, puts less stress on the pipe I find, thanks for watching 👍🏽

    I believe you are right in that it is able to tighten left hand threads but torque wrenches should not be used to loosen bolts

      Hi Vitor, yes absolutely never loosen a bolt with a torque wrench. It can be tempting due to it length but thats why they invented breaker bars. Now they loosen bolts well! Thanks for the comments and of course for watching 👍🏽

      @@MikeMakesIt hello,
      is it possible to tighten a bolt with a left-hand thread to a tightening torque with this WERA (VW Golf use one left-hand thread 50 nm on the timing chain)?

      @@VisionMaster Hi Patrick, the answer according to Wera is NO. This is copied from their manual. "Click-Torque wrench in the unmistakable, robust Wera design with high accuracy as per DIN EN ISO 6789-1: 2017-07. Easy setting and
      saving of the default value. The audible and tactile clicks on reaching the scale values also facilitate the safe setting of the desired
      torque value. The robust release mechanism guarantees a clearly audible and tactile release signal when the set torque is reached. For
      right-hand use (clockwise torque-control) and with 45-tooth reversible ratchet mechanism." So they are saying Right hand threaded bolts only and there is an arrow on the wrench indicating the direction of use. It's a bit misleading as the wrench has a mechanism that allows the action of the ratchet to be switched. But Wera says NO. Hope that helps. There are links in the description to the Wera manual. Perhaps a different model of Wera could do LH threaded bolts?

    Nice wrench. I just got one myself. It takes a lot of turns to set the torque from zero to e.g., 110 Nm, so I'm wondering if it's necessary to set the torque to zero when you are no longer using the wrench. Any info on that?

    • @MikeMakesIt
      @MikeMakesIt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I’ve always understood you should return it to zero but I guess it can also depend on the usage. I don’t think there is a need to zero after each time you use it but I would always zero mine at the end of the day. I think the calibration would stay accurate for longer if you did this as it will relieve the pressure on the internal spring. Thanks for watching 👍🏽
