    Reasons you're not losing fat:
    1. Not enough sleep
    2. Consuming too many calories
    3. Not challenging yourself with your training
    4. You are not eating enough
    5. Not trusting the process

    You should make a video on beginners tips to tracking macros. I know you probably don’t want to give specific numbers (because people will think those are the magic numbers) but maybe like your top websites/apps/ whatever to learn how to track them, where to track them and why you should track them. I think that would be super helpful to us beginners! 😁thank you!

      I use an app called Carb Manager or look up any macro tracker in the app store. But it's free and you can input what food you are eating or if it has a scannable bar you can scan as well. It's super simple. Don't overthink it :) good luck!

    I appreciate you having a plus size woman exercise with you in the video. It was honestly very encouraging to see her putting in hard work towards her goal bc it can be very discouraging to have skinny ppl putting out exercise videos with a “perfect” body and your “fat” and struggling. Sometimes we develop unrealistic goals based off of watching the skinny person exercise then if it isn’t met we give up. So its nice to see someone in the same position as you going hard and not giving up, its kind of like you get to be on the journey at the same time. If that makes sense 🙏🏾

    I've been on a diet for a month already I wouldn't say it is a diet I just started eating healthier and exercising even more but I've lost 12 pounds in a month. I am 5 ft. 6 and currently 149 pounds but I'm beginning intermittent fasting even though I think I've been doing it without noticing and hope to lose another 20 pounds:)

      It’s actually super common for us to not be eating enough when trying to lose weight because we are so used to low calorie diets, being successful, but in reality, when we eat so little our metabolism slows down, which not only makes it harder to lose weight, but our bodies begin to think we are starving and starts holding on to all the fat for fuel. This happened to me and no matter what I did, how much cardio I added I couldn’t lose weight and at one point actually started gaining to my horror, lol! When I figured out the problem, (I had also been on low carb for quite a while) I begin to eat more calories, (close to 2400 a day and I’m 5’4”, my workouts typically burn between 400-600 cal) and added healthy carbs back and quickly began to see weight loss and my stomach bloat went away! Food is not the enemy, we just have to choose the right ones! 😊

    I lovedddd this video. Honestly, you do not understand how much I love your videos. Your energy is so positive and honest and real. I stopped being so restrictive with my diet after having watched a couple of your videos.I was just so tired of starving all the time. I'm going to focus on trusting the process, and try flexible dieting. I have never heard of it before, but I am willing to try it! I am so done with living at 1,000 calories day. I want to embrace food, and LOVE my life and love my body.
    Thank you again, so so much. Love from Canada

      Macros are individual to each person. Tracking and tweaking is the only solution. Start at 35C 35F 40P then see how you react. Loosing more than 2lbs/week then cut fat and incresse carbs. Not loosing fast enough do the contrary. The leaner you are the more carbs you can take from what I've seen.

    • @gabriellecathleen7535
      @gabriellecathleen7535 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know this is a really late reply but I used to focus on low carb and low fat but I realized that didn't work or I was always hungry and would binge after a few days. So I tried to make my macros as even as possible and tweaked over time. I found what worked for me was 30% carbs, 35% fat and 35% protein. Of course, it varies a little every day but I try to get close to this. I do not think cutting out any macros is wise but keeping a healthy balance. I used to be afraid of fat but woman especially NEED fat in their diets so I try to eat more avocado or almond butter. So yeah slightly more fat and protein than carbs are what worked for me. I also used the MyFitnessPal app. It's free to download. Good Luck!

    • @gabriellecathleen7535
      @gabriellecathleen7535 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Shanngella I realized the low carb thing didn't work for me so I did exactly this. I made all my macros about even and tweaked them over time. I found a good balance with slightly more fat and protein than carbs and it has been working very well.

  • @tamiramos5873
    @tamiramos5873 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    From previous post........
    Reasons you're not losing fat:
    1. Not enough sleep: I try to get to bed around 10-11 pm...and I wake up around 6-6:30 am. Unfortunately, I wake up once a night for no apparent reason. That disturbs a full sleep.
    2. Consuming too many calories: Been watching my calories lately.
    3. Not challenging yourself with your training: Do not train. I eat under the number for my RMR so I should be creating a deficit that way. But I do move around my home. I work at home.
    4. You are not eating enough: I make sure to eat.
    5. Not trusting the process: I think my issue is my hormones. I am 52 and in "that stage of life."

My body crashed; I got sick a lot, I wasn't losing and it was awful. I upped my calories to 1500-1700 and I've started losing weight and I'm overall healthier.

    Have you tried to get the company to replace your coffee maker? Tell Kendall she looks awesome! I"ve done diets and actually been sort of successful. However the weight always came back and it brought friends! lol This time I decided to just start doing small simple changes. I'm paying attention to my body more, eating slower so I can tell when I'm full. I've subbed out my high calorie coffee for a healthier option and a smaller size. More water/ green tea. I've also reduced my sugar intake by alot! Most important is that I've been using a couple of apps to track my macros. Also if I don't like it? I'm NOT eating it! lol Why eat calories that you don't even enjoy! So far I'm down 8 pounds and I've only started a couple weeks ago. Most important I actually feel better! I'm feeling full longer and I have a ton more energy. I'm also not snacking at night, I don't eat after 7. That way I have a chance to burn off some of those calories before I go to bed.

      I want to add you are so true about seeing your doctor. Last Jan. I knew something was wrong because my appetite was going away but no weight loss. LONG story short thru many tests and CT scans, etc I was diagnosed that I only have 1 functioning kidney. The other is completely normal. Now I’m on botanical kidney enzymes that help my body release water, lifting 3 times a week and on my way to a even healthier me! It’s so important to know your body so that we can detect when something is “off”. God bless you!!!

    Same thing happened to my keurig 😡 we were about to throw ours out, we left it unplugged for a few days and I just tried it one more time, plugged it in and it worked. So now we just keep it unplugged whenever it’s not in use. Try it out 👍🏻 (also take the tank off, flip it upside down and shake it) 🤷🏼‍♀️

    I personally think counting your macros is more efficient and easier than counting calories because then you're not getting enough nutrients unless you know exactly what to make to meet those goals. Also, I have a problem not meeting my macros per day. I'm 5'4ft, 189.6lbs, and I'm 19 years old and I use my fitness pal to track my food more efficiently and easily (because I forget throughout the day to track it) I'm also a college student and I don't want to buy chickfila every day for lunch. For me to lose 1.5lbs per week, I need 1840 calories or 92g of carbs (20%), 184g of protein (40%), and 82g of fat (40%). But I'm still not meeting my calorie/macros. According to my fitness pal, I have 19g of carbs, 32g of fat, and 111g of protein, or 834 calories left to eat. And I dont remember setting my body fat percentage but I have like almost no fat in my quads, I have just have fat in my inner thighs and i feel like it would help to measure my body fat percentage to make my goals more accurate. So basically, my question is how do i meet my macros goals?

    I love these videos Britt , please more meal ideas and healthy snacks 😊 and showing your days worth of food I like seeing what you eat and it helps me realize I can eat goods that will fil me up and not be so calorie restrictive like you said

    I've had a lot of issues with my keurig too... Luckily their customer service is awesome. I would reach out to them. They have sent me 2 new keurigs so far... Kind of disappointing that they have so many issues.

    Another thing you should discuss are medical things that cause you to gain weight or slow metabolism down. When my thyroid meds need to be adjusted because it's not enough, I normally loose weight. This last month I started cleaning houses which burns more calories. I still wasn't loosing weight because of my thyroid not producing enough! I think that it's worth while looking into your meds or doing a blood test to see if other things are effecting you!

    In your Keurig, stick a paper clip up the needle to loosen and debris left by coffee grounds. I know someone who works for the company and that's what they taught me and it works !! The needle is in the upper part that comes down over the coffee pod Be careful don't get hurt.

    When I did have a Keurig, their customer service was always really helpful (they’ll walk you through troubleshooting and if it doesn’t work, send you a new machine)... pumps kept breaking so after the 3rd machine replacement, I switched to Nespresso and never looked back!

    I’ve had my Keurig for years try filtered water from the frig, or bottled.. they can’t handle hard water. If you have used regular tap water clean with vinegar 👍🏻

    Great advice. I would love to hear HIIT vs. Lifting. I do both. Im building muscle but also would love to lose body fat around the areas that tend to hold body fat. Im told i only need 1 day a week of cardio. Please make a video explaining this!!!!! Thanks for the info. Love your puppies and how happy you look on your own now. :)

    I ve been into gym for 2 months now, 4-5times a week, cardio and lifting weights, and i didn t loose any pound on the scale...😐 i may look a bit slimmer, but is not satisfying.. Is true that I may overeat maybe.. That convinced me that is the 70%diet and the rest is exercising.. I ll be continuing with gym, i find it so much easier for me than to be on a diet.. Even though i don t eat fast food and I don't drink any juice.. But i have a sweet tooth..
