You're my favorite fitness youtuber out there by FAR! I've struggled with my weight and have had such an unhealthy relationship with food my entire teenage and adult life. I did everything you said, restricted myself and thought cardio was the key. I would always end up binge eating and then felt horrible guilt after it. The scale was just not moving at all. Then one day I just woke up and was like "this has to stop." I started to allow myself something when I crave it and have gotten into strength training. It's been about two months and I'm FINALLY losing weight! I've lost about 10 pounds and can see a slight change in my body. I still have bad days and times where I just want to go back to my old lifestyle but I know that if I want results I need to stay consistent. I finally believe that I'm 100% capable of getting my dream body, it's just going to take some time. So thank you for your videos and all of the amazing tips you share with us! You're such an inspiration!!
Ok i get all this don't be 'restrictive' and be balanced but of course you have to restrict a little if you want to lose weight! I do anyway! I don't track or anything but I'm mindful, increase veggies and fruit, watch the carbs and fat but mostly listen to my body. If I want a little snack I just have it but I mostly eat whole foods when I diet. And I ALWAYS, always have a treat meal, I don't even think about it anymore. It sorts my hormones out stops me getting too hungry and relieves stress and basically makes dieting so much easier!
If you’re just starting yoga I highly Recommend boho beautiful TH-cam videos, she does amazing work, so relaxing & she has beginner videos all the way up to expert
No yoga app can ever replace a yoga class... I love yoga classes so much and I can barely touch my toes!!! Don't be intimidated! Yoga classes are better because you can get personal advice.
The tip on cleaning out the kitchen is so key! Thanks for sharing your journey!! It’s a really good reminder that all good things take time and to never give up✨💕
Can’t agree more with all your tips! I’ve lost 70-80 lbs over the past few years with 30 lbs of that most recently this past year. I still have a little ways to go to reach my goal, so it’s always good to be reminded what’s going to help get me there, especially right now while I’m on a dieting break and just living life and have picked up a few unhealthy habits again. Thanks for the video! ❤️
I wish there was a love button, this is exactly how I did it,,,,love this so much!!!! Went from junk food addict to eating clean and doing IF,,,,and lifting weights is a GAME CHANGER!!! #oweittoourselves 😻😻😻
Yessss!!!! I did this journey (45 pounds weight loss) about eight years ago. Fast forward to today.... I had a son (who is now THREE and I can’t use him as an excuse any more) and I’m back to where I need to lose 30 pounds again. I guess I was just in a whole separate mind set the last time I lost weight because I kept it off for over six years until my son. I was so good with my diet and exercise. Sadly now both are terrible. I am STRUGGLING to get back into that mind set. It will happen.... eventually 😜 I love your videos and can’t wait for the next!!!!
You really hit the nail on the head (feel so old saying that) when you said you're more proud now that you found a balanced lifestyle that works for u vs when you were restricted
You look great! I lost a lot of weight as well and through trials and tribulations I found a balance that provides me with the lifestyle change that helps me maintain my weight but still enjoy the foods I like.
Girl I absolutely love your videos! I’ve only been watching for a few weeks now but I already can tell how genuine and kind you are! Can’t wait for more!
Yoga with Adrienne... she's incredible. Tons of different kinds of yoga. She has tons of ten minute sessions, and her foundations of yoga are amazing!!
Out of all the weight loss journey videos this is by far the most motivational. You’re entire attitude toward creating a healthy lifestyle is one that I soon strive to have. Your videos inspire me to be a better me everyday!!!
Brittany, thank you for the video. I love watching you. I just wanted to say.... some people just can have one or a few in moderation. Me being one of them. That's why I have to avoid those foods altogether. That said, I have been doing Keto for years. This lifestyle chance healed my thyroid. Shrunk several cysts on my breast. Helped my lose weight after years of dieting due to hypothyroidism. Keto has been a lifesaver for me. AND - Once you stop sugar and carbs and your body adapts, you no longer have the cravings. I am surprised you aren't on the Keto bandwagon yet. Some plans work for some but not everyone. I must say SUGAR scares me though. Either way, I just love you. Keep up the good work.... you look fantastic.
Yoga is my JAM! I've always hated to work out, but I started doing vibration yoga in June 2017, and I've stayed consistent with it ever since. #yayyoga
I have had two kids both by c-sections. I am a stay at home mom and the majority of the world thinks it should be easier for me to lose weight because I am home. Which is the farthest thing from the truth. Which the kitchen is that close it makes it too easy. I had to start with baby steps. I cut caffeine (cokes) first. After a month I knew I was ready to start with food. I do calorie count. I find it the easiest. I have an app and everything I eat goes into it. After a few weeks of the this were I feel like I have a handle on it. I will start with walking. I am baby step person and I know that about myself which I know my limits. Thank you for your video.
Also thank you for being realistic about fitness and weight loss. So often I see people advocating “clean eating” and yeah that works for some people but most normal people enjoy a treat sometimes. It’s all about balance. Eating clean most of the time is fine but some people take it to the extreme and don’t allow fats, oils, added sugar of any kind, salt, etc. AT ALL. That would absolutely not be sustainable for me and I’d be binging on Oreos in no time. 😂
Yeah, ITA w/ you there! I tell ppl you CAN lose lbs if you eat clean, aside from 1-2 meals a wk & do (mild/moderate) exercise. This from someone who is over 35 & lost 13 lbs in 2017 (did 3 mos of HIIT & mostly healthy eating). Now am on my health journey again- 2 mos so far & ONLY lost about 5 lbs (BUT feeling pretty good). Good luck all!
One of the best things I learned in my 200 hour yoga teacher training is that you can’t be “good” at yoga! It’s so common to hear that people are nervous because they aren’t good or they aren’t flexible! The word yoga literally means to breathe, so if you can breathe you’re doing yoga. The poses are meant to just challenge your breathe🧘♀️
OMG!!! I am so glad that I have found you ( and not just for your Starbucks videos). You are such a down to earth person and I have truly learned a lot from you in my diet and journey to a better me! Thank you so much for sharing your life and your puppies!! Darlene
I am at the beginning of my fitness and fat loss journey, I’m mixing up cardio and strength at the moment, just ordered some BACC powders and a protein powder to add in to my foods. I would love to see more from you around when and how to use them efficiently. Love watch you, you are so positive! ❤️❤️❤️
I HIGHLY recommend checking out Summit climbing and yoga studio in Dallas! It is a rock climbing gym that has a yoga studio on site. I used to teach yoga there and all the teachers have AMAZING information and make every class feel super welcoming. They are always open to giving personalized information on how to accommodate certain poses for YOUR personal body. They are also of the mindset that “its called yoga practice, not yoga perfect” so it’s a very judgment free environment.
It's a really encouraging video! Could you share more about the struggles you faced during your weight loss and how you overcame them? Maybe something like how you stuck to your diet or how you resisted snacking. But loved this video!
Brittany I am a HUGE consumer of TH-cam videos. I watch everything from beauty to conspiracies to organizing & fitness - so DO NOT take this lightly when I tell you that YOUR videos inspire me the most. *I'm typing this with one hand as I'm standing over my weights ready to start my squats. LETS DO THIS! xo
I hope you find a yoga studio and instructor that you love! The physical, mental, and "meditational" benefits of yoga can be a real wonder drug. Good luck!
Brittany!!! Loved this vlog sooo much! Thanks always for your inspiring personality and your tips. They’ve been so incredibly helpful and motivational!! I would love to see a video on your weight loss journey and how you started counting macros/calories. I’ve been struggling with the macros area, because I’m not sure which way to scale it, more carbs or more protein, etc. Also would you ever do a video on what machines or weights you life for upper/lower body? I’m looking to weight lift more but I’m a bit intimidated at the gym with sooo many machines, it would be nice to know I have a “go-to” for a specific muscle group, and so on. Thanks and sending you xoxo’s from NY!!
Hello ever since i got married i gained about 45 pounds i blame it on him idk why just cuz now i focus now on taking care of his food his clothes wjat he needs and i have no time to take care of my self i work come home i eat fast food wendys is opened late after 10pm so thats convenient what you sugest i eat late night after work and during work im so busy i font feel hunger just really thirsty so i go the afternoon without eating and my mornings im so tired i whip up a smoothie with store bought individual packets of mix green fruits Dole and blend that's my onlu meal for the morning i sleep till i gotta go to work what can i do to stop this late night eating huuungry after work that's the reason i have gained weight im sure
It’s crazy that you mentioned Sonic because I had a HUGE addiction to their Strawberry Limeade this spring, like once or twice a day! I just recently switched to Lime flavored LaCroix water and blended strawberries and it is soooo good and none of those extra calories or artificial sweeteners!!
I am a guy and I am very proud of getting all these tips from you Brittany! Thank you for always giving us guidance on how you do things. It helps alot. Could you make a video on your supplements and what time or when you take them? just to have an idea 😉 thank you so much!
You are so down to earth and motivational! I love taking Barre classes and yoga. It’s the one thing I can stick with because I hate cardio 😩 well once I get going I love it but I have zero motivation to do it. It’s weird. I’ve wanted to try weightlifting. I did it a little with friends in my mid 20’s and loved it but I’m 41 now and I feel intimated to go into a gym to start it, kind of like you with yoga( even though you looked AMAZING!). Any suggestions to make weight training less intimating when you start? I would love a video on that and also the supplements! Thanks so much!
My issue is night cravings. Like I’ll do great with breakfast and lunch but when it gets to dinner and after dinner, I eat something bad or especially after for like dessert I’ll binge on a ton of snacks, any tips??
What are you eating during the day? Are you drinking enough water throughout the day and getting enough fiber? Sometimes not doing this can make us feel hungry and then we overeat. Maybe have individual pieces of chocolate or make a healthy dessert ahead of time, so you know you're staying in your calorie/macro count for the day. I use to be a night time eater but I just forced myself to stop after 8pm. It sucked for about a week and now I'm use to it. I'm a wellness coach, so this would be my tips to anyone. Good luck!!
Or for example if you crave sweet things leave some kcals preferably from carbs for night. If you dont track macros and eat intuitively stick to some fats and protein and moderate carbs and EAT ALL OF DEM before bed. :) you will be satisfied and sleep like a log
I gave yoga a go because I broke my tailbone and I havent looked back since, I love it. Go you for giving it a go its so helpful for so many different things. I love your videos and your positive messages.
Hi Brittany, I had a couple of questions about weight lifting. What was the starting weight you worked with or could you do a video of good basic movements for people starting out. Also could you break down macros in a video? Maybe do a video of a weeks worth of foods with it all broken down and what your target macros for the day are? But in general do you still do cardio? Where did you start with that and how did that help and or hurt your fitness when you starred with weight lifting?
Definitely important to let yourself enjoy life and eat stuff you normally shouldn’t. BUT, if you have a significant amount to lose, you should definitely see how long you can go before you need that cheat day. I went 16 weeks before I had one and the majority of my progress happened in that time that I kept to a strict diet.
So happy to hear from you and im from Dallas too:) it's encouraging to hear as I'm in the middle of a bikini prep :) thanks for the video it's fun and helpful and encouraging. You go girl muah 💋
Augh the number on the scale has been haunting me (either from doctors, from my mother when I'd see her and she'd ask what it was, to eventually myself believing that number defined me.) Lately though, I'm learning to ignore all that bs. I started weight lifting some months ago and I'm already noticing a difference and I feel so much more confident. That number hasn't moved, but I'm stronger than I was and more confident in my body.
I hope you like yoga! As a super busy mom of four it's more realistic fir me to have an at-home workout. I do yoga 5-6 days a wwwk normally and I've been able to maintain doing this longer than any other workout I've ever done before. And as you get used to it there are so many yoga routines that really strengthen your muscles, not just increase flexibility and balance.
Hey Britney I love all of your videos I have been binge watching your videos for the last week and I'm so thankful that you are on TH-cam. You are so motivating. Have you ever tried piyo?
Thx for this I'm a new subscriber (but have been in the fitness game for years) your tips are things I already knew but hearing you say it has reaffirmed this all in my mind thank you!!!!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ (your honesty is why is subscribed)
Thank you so much for that . Greetings from Russia! Sometimes when you don't get results in a short time you get so disappointed. Videos like that are motivating , thank you !
Back when I was really big swimming was the ultimate workout. I really enjoyed it and it took the weight of my joints and let me feel fit and light even if I was big. I highly recommend it for beginners
Great video, except for one stereotype ‘calories in vs calories out’. Hormonal balance is the key, low insulin, low cortisol, ghrelin and leptin sensitivity.
You are so right! I love working out. I’m trying so hard to lose weight. I have 3 kids and I’m so unsure how to diet and I want to get a trainer but I can’t afford it and I don’t think I’d have the time. Idk how to count portions. I need a diet that works for me. Anyways I’m so proud of you!
I've found that restricting my food groups is the only way I can control my diet. Eating WFPB is the one way I've able to regulate my calories and stay satisfied, but that's just me. The second I start eating meat or dairy again, it's my downfall because I then crave it like crazy. Cutting it out altogether has been the only way to overcome that, for me at least.
Great video! Do you mind me asking how much you weighted before you lost 40lbs and how much you weighted after? In addition, how long did it take you to lose the weight? Thank you :).
Geez people if you don't want to be here go away your not forced! Her lips her choice not anyone's. If she see' s herself sexy so that's it! Stop bringing negativity here.
Hi girl, hopefully you respond to this! Need advice! I used to weigh 245lbs. I lost about 80 pounds extremely fast. I got down to 160 within 10 months. After the first year and a half, I got down to 128lbs. (i'm 5'8") and I still hated my body because of the extra skin. I am around 150lbs now, and I'm miserable. I have been living my life around my body, and all of the excess skin that comes with weight loss. I have never gone to the beach, to the pool, or anything in a bikini or even a bathingsuit... and I wouldn't even be able to tell you the last time I wore a short sleeve shirt or tank top out in public.. Anyone in my life could tell you that they haven't seen my arms in years. I am beyond insecure, I don't even like looking at myself in the mirror. It's so discouraging to work so hard to lose weight and still have the excess skin. I feel like it's just holding me back & i can't imagine living the rest of my life not being able to wear a bathing suit or wearing a tank top and a pair of shorts in summer. It's affected many of my relationships, and I'm just over it... So, my question to you, what workouts target arm fat/skin? Can I realistically tone up my arms and get rid of most of my excess skin with just working out? certain Vitamins, foods? or would I have to look into surgery? I just want to be proud of the body that I worked soooo hard to get! hopefully I worded this right to get my point across!
Meg Briane congratulations on your weight loss journey! Unfortunately, you can't work off loose skin. Losing such a large amount of weight will result in excess drapey skin that can only be removed surgically.
Velia Cardenas not only is that not very helpful but it's not true I have lost 99 pounds exactly over the last year-and-a-half I had loose skin and through vitamin C supplementation a raw vegan diet and fasting ESPECIALLY DRY FASTING it is probably already 50% better than it was 6 months ago and I'm 41 years old.. focus on eliminating toxins from your body everything in or on ur body should be organic if possible :)
I really love you AF! Those teeth are to die for! I was kinda hypnotized lol 😘 I’d like to add one: beat your excuses. I work on shifts, my house is tiny so lifting was the last thing I thought I could do. Til I stopped the BS and bought a cheap bench and rack. Now it’s 6 weeks I’m lifting, feeling greater and stronger than ever before. Go for it, mamas! 👊🏻😽
Loved this video and congrats on getting the yoga in! Just wanted to say you’re gorgeous in both photos but more importantly I think I had the same silver dress!! 😂💓💓
Thank you for always being an encouragement! I've lost 14 pounds since Jan and plan on losing another 15 by the end of the year!
Annie Pleinies how did you do it??
Annie Pleinies congrats on your success KEEP IT UP!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!! 🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️

Bryn try getting a retainer or whitening strips and putting them on right after dinner (after brushing ofc)... that really helped me
You are probably eating too few calories throughout the day. Try eating a dense breakfast. Oatmeal keeps me full for hours.
Eat protein!
I gave yoga a go because I broke my tailbone and I havent looked back since, I love it. Go you for giving it a go its so helpful for so many different things. I love your videos and your positive messages.
Hi Brittany,
I had a couple of questions about weight lifting.
Yessssss full weight loss journey video! 😘😘
I love your channel!! I just found it and I can’t wait to just learn more about how to have a healthier lifestyle!! Your video’s are great💕💕
So happy to hear from you and im from Dallas too:) it's encouraging to hear as I'm in the middle of a bikini prep :) thanks for the video it's fun and helpful and encouraging.
That number hasn't moved, but I'm stronger than I was and more confident in my body.
love this video!! can you please do a video specifically on binge eating because i struggle with that :(
Thank you for posting this! Loved all the tips. Also, your shirt is so cute where is it from? ❤️😬
Brittany! Great tips. I like the tip to Weigh all of our food and also to focus on fat loss not necessarily the weight. Nailed your video!
I'm so bad for restricting myself then binging. Thanks for the tips!! Hoping to see your full journey one soon :)
Hey girl! Your local lululemon should have a free yoga class on Sundays. It’s usually great for beginners 😊
I love your vids, please do a Q&A about lifestyle!!
Hey Britney I love all of your videos I have been binge watching your videos for the last week and I'm so thankful that you are on TH-cam. You are so motivating. Have you ever tried piyo?
Loved this video! Great advice & tips! Yes I would like to c a video on ur entire weight loss journey. Thanks!
You’re so pretty 😭 love this video!!!!
Thx for this I'm a new subscriber (but have been in the fitness game for years) your tips are things I already knew but hearing you say it has reaffirmed this all in my mind thank you!!!!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ (your honesty is why is subscribed)
I dont know what's different, but u seem so much more relatable now. 🤗😍 Ive been following u for a few years. And ur lips looks great!
Thank you so much for that . Greetings from Russia! Sometimes when you don't get results in a short time you get so disappointed. Videos like that are motivating , thank you !
This really encouraged me. I’m just starting my journey and these tips will definitely help. Thank you!
Back when I was really big swimming was the ultimate workout. I really enjoyed it and it took the weight of my joints and let me feel fit and light even if I was big. I highly recommend it for beginners
I love your videos, I lost 25 pounds 8 years ago and just recently gained 20 anyways, your videos are so motivating and really help me thank u !
YES! This was very helpful. Please make a video on your fitness journey deets.
New fav TH-camr
Great video, except for one stereotype ‘calories in vs calories out’. Hormonal balance is the key, low insulin, low cortisol, ghrelin and leptin sensitivity.
You are so right! I love working out. I’m trying so hard to lose weight. I have 3 kids and I’m so unsure how to diet and I want to get a trainer but I can’t afford it and I don’t think I’d have the time. Idk how to count portions. I need a diet that works for me. Anyways I’m so proud of you!
Hi Britanny! Thank you so much for sharing your journey and this video!! You are an inspiration.
LAUGHING!! 😂😂😂
LAUGHING SOMEMORE 😂😂😂
CANT STOP LAUGHING 🤣🤣🤣
Sun salutes in the morning sun (lol) are a great start. It's how I got into learning yoga flow.
Dilly Dilly! loved that bit :D burst out laughing, next time i step on a scale i think i might say that... :D
Thanks for sharing Brittany! Where is your shirt from? I love it!
Can’t wait for your supplement video!! 😊
Thank you so much for this video! Love your tips and clarity!!
Weight lifting is amazing, keeps me in great shape & I LOVE It :D.
I love these tips thank you !!!! Very real, very true, and easily followed ❤❤❤❤❤ thanks for the boost of motivation 💞💪
Love you Brit this video was really helpful xx
I would love an in-depth weight loss video . I still have 80 pounds to go. I started in June and down 13 pounds.
How would you recommend starting weight lifting ? I’ve been thinking of trying it but I don’t know we’re to start.
Thank you for being honest about your journey.i think this will help me on mine.
Thank you! You keep me motivated 🖤
Loved this video and congrats on getting the yoga in! Just wanted to say you’re gorgeous in both photos but more importantly I think I had the same silver dress!! 😂💓💓
