- On this episode of The Wild Table we head to the South Island of New Zealand. We are invited to a block that has been a hunting destination for generations - High Peak Station. There will be stags, roars, bucks and more deer than you can shake a stick at. And while the big antlers at this station are off limits, we will get to hunt the block for everything else our heart desire. What's more, we are teeing up with Shaun from Food Over Fire@foodoverfire . We will also light a crackling fire and make some epic food. Come and join us on this adventure.

Awesome viewing ! What calibre are you using to hunt with ? I can see one firearm is a tikka t3x lite .
I typically use a 7mm08 for big game. In this case we were using Shaun's rifles a Tikka 308 and a .243 respectively

Yes for 68k you too can eat wild game that came from a raise barn, release it, and pretend your killing wild meat. Thats farm raised deer for 68k, dont forget the helicopter rental for another 2k per hour 3 hour minimum. This place is a joke! Only the weathest kill here cause no hunts go on in a high fenced area. My church won a hunt here, stating it was a 12k hunt, and after trying to book the hunt they wanted a additional 77k for 4 people to harvest, in addition to the 4k we paid at church, what a scam.....unethical as hell, pretend your hunting, pretend your eating wild, all for the mighty dollar.
